♥ Chapter 3: Our Little Song ♥

A/N: Here's a cute little chapter for ya ^-^ Lots of fluff and blushing here. I was listening to my Spotify playlist as per usual when I got inspired to write a scene in from this chapter. The song that I used in the story is at the top, where the image for the story usually is. Or, if you want to see the picture image for this chapter as well, swipe left and its there. It's a really cute song, I suggest you give it a listen if you have time! :)

(I don't own the song Rhythm of Love or it's lyrics)

*** (A Few Hours Later...)

The bell rings, finally dismissing us from school. I grab my old backpack and head out, on my way back to my dorm. I turn around the block and head into a large building that holds the dorms of many students. I take the stairs to the third floor and walk down the hallway, even more tired than before. I unlocked the door to my dorm and flopped down on my bed, which creaked and groaned as I grumbled into the sheets. I pulled myself up and forced myself to slip into my comfier outfit and grab a quick bite before heading out the door. I slipped out of my dorm and clambered downstairs in a hurry. I jogged across the block to a nearby coffee shop and swung open the door. I threw on my faded green barista apron that they provided and stepped behind the counter, facing a long line of impatient customers. Oh boy.

*** (One Busy Shift Later...)

My shift was ending when I heard the bell on the door ring one last time. Alright Frisk, this is the last customer, you're almost done, lets finish strong, I told myself in my head.

I turned around to see G leaning on the counter too close for comfort, and our faces were merely five inches away.

"I-uh, what would you like?" I said scrambling for words, quickly stepping away.

"You," he commented flirtatiously. Nice job Frisk, you handed the opportunity right to him, I thought, mentally slapping myself.

"I mean what drink do you want, G," I said flatly.

"A Macchiato with a double shot of expresso," he replied back in the same tone, "Oh, and lots of sugar," he winked lazily looking at me in the eye with a pupil.

"Alright." I whipped up his drink and switched the sugar for salt, snickering. I silently giggled to myself, anticipating his expression. I poured it into a cup and snapped a top on it. That'll show him!

"Here you go," I smiled overly widely and handed him his drink.

He began to drink the Macchiato while I held back laughter, my eyes watering. I couldn't take it- I doubled over laughing. I looked up to see the cup half empty. My laughter stopped. He was chugging all 16 ounces of the drink I served him without batting an eye. The poker face he kept was unmoving as he gulped down more of the liquid. I gawked at him while he took the last sip from the drink and threw the cup in the trash.

He walked out the door with a stupid smile on his face, glancing back to gauge my reaction to his small victory. I sighed and shook my head, taking off the apron and gathering my few belongings. I headed home to my dorm and flopped on my bed once more, like always. I groaned into the sheets and then got undressed and hopped in the shower.

Feeling the hot water against my tired body soothed me into singing softly. First, I hummed out the tune and then once I remembered some of the lyrics and I got the nerve up to sing.

"His head is stuck in the clouds,
I beg him to come down
Said, Boy quit foolin' around," I sang the words to my favorite song before pausing to remember the rest. What were the lyrics again? I thought to myself before a deeper voice chimed in from the other side of the wall, coming from the dorm next to mine.

"I told her I love the view from up here,
Warm sun and wind in my ear.
We'll watch the world from above
As it turns to the rhythm of love~" he sang back. I had to admit, whoever this was, they could sing. I played along so I could see who it was and continued singing.

"She's got blue eyes deep like the sea
That roll back when she's laughing at me
She rises up like the tide
The moment her lips meet mine~" he sang. It was almost as if he was singing the song about me? Nah, I'm literally the new girl! I know barely any guys, and they're either a player, crushing on my best friend or just plain out of my league!

"We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine, all mine
Play the music low and sway to the rhythm of love," we sang in unison.

"And long after I've gone
You'll still be humming along
And I will keep you in my mind
The way you make love so fine~" he sang, scoffing. I knew that laugh. The name instantly popped into my head.

"G?! Is that you?"

"I'd say that was a pretty good duet, sweetheart, but I think we both know who the better singer of the two of us is though," he boasted. I slipped and fell on my bottom hard and yelped. I shook my head and turned off the water. "Awh, doll, leaving so soon? We were having so much fun~" he jeered jokingly. I rolled my eyes in response. I got dressed as he imitated me singing in a high voice, voice cracks and all. I could literally hear the smirk in his voice. I forced myself to hold in my laughs until he finished.

I stepped back in the shower, fully dressed and pressed my face to the wall that stood between us and imitated him in a low voice. I had to bite my lip to prevent myself from howling from laughter. I heard him laugh some at my horrible impression.

"Heh, that could be like our little song, huh, dove?"

"Sure," I shrugged, pushing myself off the wall and towards my bed, too tired to care what he was saying anymore.

"Night, dove," he yawned, and I heard the creaking of a bed come from the other side of the wall.

"Goodnight, G."

A/N: This is probably the last chapter with just fluff and no drama/action :'3 Anyways hope you guys have a great last few days of summer ^^
