@ninjacookiecutters

Hey everyone 👋
This is Clarie back with a teen author.
Let's get into the interview.

1. Username:

ninjacookiecutters

2. Real name ( if you don't want to disclose its okay!)

Alana

That's a nice name.

3. Age: 14

4. Where did you get the inspiration to start writing?

Inspiration: I’ve always been a super avid reader and writer. I think my inspiration was my English teacher and my two best friends. They really saw potential in me, and they referred me to Wattpad. My English teacher helped me with my general creative writing skills, and my friends gave me the courage to publish my books online.

Thanks to your teacher and your friends, we found a great author. It's very good to hear such things ,as most of the time people won't even try to see what the other person is doing now a days.

5. What are the things you do in your leisure time?

Leisure: I read, write, sing, watch YouTube and Netflix or play Super Smash Bros.

You sing also. That's cool.

6. What is the first work you wrote in this platform? What was the response you got for that work?

First Work: My first work is called ‘When I Leave’. It’s about finding hope during an epidemic.

That seems really interesting. The title is so catchy.

7. What is your prospective about teenage?

Teenage: I honestly don’t mind being a teenager but it is really hard. You don’t have many privileges, but you have a lot of responsibility and the hormonal changes are super annoying.

Yes, I agree with you.

8. Is there any particular genre which you love to read?

Genre: I love sci-fi, action or teen fiction. I relate to teen fiction and I love how fast-paced action and sci-fi stories are.

That's really cool 😊

9. What are the favourite works either on wattpad or outside which you read in one go or found them interesting?

Favourite Works: My favourite works are definitely To Kill a Mockingbird, the Hunger Games and Scythe

That's a good list.

10. What is the thing you see when you first glance at the book?

First Thing: The first thing I see when I look at a book is the cover. The cover has to be attractive and appealing in order to hook me in. Contrary to popular belief, people do judge books by their covers.

I totally agree though there is saying that don't judge a book by it's cover, but still many of us get attracted by the cover. It's human nature.

11. What do you value the most in your life?

Value: I value my family and friends the most in my life. They are by my side through thick and thin.

12. What do you want to achieve in your lifetime?

Achieve: I would like to win the Watty’s and become a critically acclaimed author.

All the very best wishes from our community. We hope one day you will do it definitely.

13. What ways did Wattpad help you? Did it help you increase your potential?

It has. It’s increased my self-esteem because of the positive response my writing has been getting, and it’s a really productive way to spend my time.

That's really great to hear.

14. What are your expectations from readers?

I don’t have any expectations. However, I do like constructive criticism, no matter how harsh!

This is unique. Most of the authors wouldn't accept criticism. I am amazed find you even accept criticism. That's really very nice 😊.

15. What do you enjoy being the most a reader or an author?

Probably an author. I get to have the experience of reading my own book, but it’s also nice to create worlds and let my imagination run wild.

That's good.

16. Since how many years are you using Wattpad?

I’ve only been using it for 4 months.

That's a short period of time. But still you are really awesome 😊.

17. Any short message to the teenagers like you.

Be yourself. I promise you, it’s fine. The world isn’t going to come crashing down if someone doesn’t like you. You only have so much time to live. We’re all going to die eventually, which isn’t comforting but it is the reality, so use all your time wisely.

Perfect explanation 👌👍.

18. What do you think plays a major role in teenagers lives? Society or friends?

Hmm. I think both. On one hand, friends are very influential in a teenager’s life since this is the time when we’re the most insecure and struggling for acceptance. However, I also think society plays a big role in teenagers and their development. Society influences our choices.

19. Is social media good for teenagers?

Yes and no. On one hand, it is good to be exposed to new people, but on the other hand, it is bad for security, self-esteem, and many teenagers can become addicted. Overall, the negatives outweigh the positives.

Yes I totally agree with you 💯.

20. Most of the teenagers make friends in many platforms. Do you think it is good or bad?

I think it is bad in terms of safety and security, but it is a nice way to socialise with new people. As long as they’re safe and they don’t reveal information, it’s a good thing!

21. Few words about our community.

I like it! It’s unique, interesting and everybody is friendly!

Thank you so much dear.

22. How did you feel giving us your interview? Do you want us to improve in any way or give any suggestions?

Maybe try and stick to the script less. Give me questions, and make up questions on the spot based on the answer. Try to engage with me more.

We will work on it,thank you for suggesting.

23. U can ask me anything which is related to me or about our community?

I don’t really have anything to ask!

I'm glad to take your interview and all the best for your journey ahead 🥰

Thank you and you too!
