Out
Doctors other then Canary began to work of Richard. Them using different methods including shock therapy and acupuncture. Richard was moved to a cell with padded walls, and now had to be transferred to his therapy and back to the cafeteria and cell with a Straight Jacket on, and a muzzle as well. With all of this on him, he was also pretty much high on drugs he was constantly getting pumped into him.
He was like a shell of his former self like this. But the doctors said it was effective in calming his murderous tendencies.
"Good morning Dick!" A female doctor hummed and held two grips, and at the end electricity ran through it.
Richard was strapped down on a bed, him looking up at a light handing above him. He was told to look at it. He then yelled loudly as he felt electricity run through his brain, a certian voltage rewiring things in his head. This supposedly helping rid him of violent thoughts of murder.
"That's it." The doctor pulled the grips away and shocked him again. "Get well young boy."
After an hour he was moved to the cafeteria to participate in group circles for talking. To ask the inmates questions to see if their treatments were effective.
Richard was sat in a chair next to a man who went by Victor Zauz. He was a mass murderer who had cuts all along his body, to mark how many he had killed. And there were quite a lot of scars.
Canary smiled and walked to her chair and sat down in it and adjusted her posture before clicking the end of her pen and held her clipboard in her lap. She began to ask around. One person was getting better. Another worse. One the same. One worse. Another worse. And then another better.
"And Richard. What are your thoughts on killing?" Canary asked, looking up from her clipboard with a desperate look.
"....killing?" Richard whispered through his muzzle.
"Yes. Killing." Canary wrote some things down about his mannerisms. "Do you want to kill? Any urges?"
"....urges." He mumbled and pauses for a bit before continuing. "No more killing." He spoke softly. "No more killing." He spoke again. "No urges. They are bad." Richard spoke through his muzzle.
"Good." Canary smiled and wrote things down on her clipboard before moving to the next person.
((Richard's POV))
No more.
Nope. None whatsoever.
They are bad.
The colors of the floor danced in pinks and greens. I watched the floor form a black oozy smile and wave at me. I smiled back and stared at it. I would wave if my hands were out of the self hug jacket I had. But the nurses say I needed self love. So hugging myself constantly in the self hug jacket was needed. It was nice to be hugging myself constantly. It was like I was being comforted even when I was alone.
I heard a scream and it broke me from smiling at the oozy face. I got mad and glared. But then softened my gaze at the sight of the Looney yelling and holding his head in pain. I pity him. He should have a hug jacket. Maybe he needs self love too. And some entertainment juice. My medicine was changed to entertainment juice. The nurses said it was more effective then my medicine. So they switched me on it. They said it helps me stay happy. The nurse said she could send me to a fantasy world. And now I'm in it.
It's cozy. Warm. And nice. I would totally let Bruce into my fantasy world too. He should take some of this entertainment juice sometime. It is injected into your veins. And vawala. Instant niceness.
"Richard?" I heard a voice.
Sense ignoring people is rude, and hurts their feeling. I decided to look up at Canary, the person who spoke to me.
She's pretty.
And an epic hero.
I'm not aloud to think badass anymore. What a shame. Wait a minute....dang it. I just did.
Crappy crap!
"Helloooo!" I smiled gently and zoned out again until the voice came back.
"What is this pouch? A new medicine? I didn't authorize this." Canary spoke to me with a tone of worry, so her worry made me worry.
"It's a entertainment juice. Want some miss? Hehe, it's great." I smiled at her. "I'm able to stay happy and live in my own fantasy world!" I decided to add enthusiasm to my voice, as Canary said it helped people get involved in the topic more.
"Oh my God it's drugs!" Canary yelled.
I felt the IV in my arm get torn out and I let off a weak groan due to the pain that throbbed from the spot the tube was in my vein.
"Drugs?" I frowned again.
"Yes! Drugs! Who did this!?" Canary asked.
"My nurse." I spoke. "They said it wasn't a drug. But a happy juice of some kind. Am I in trouble Miss? I'm not supposed to take drugs. They can hurt your body. And it's illegal. Against the...law..." I slowly morphed out of my high and sharply gasped.
I blinked and looked around, feeling my body a thousand pounds lighter then it was previously. Whatever that shit was it cured me. Who did this again?
"Canary....I'm perfectly fine." I spoke raspily.
"You are?" Canary looked down at Richard. "Dick how are you suddenly sane? That never happens."
"I gave him the only serum I had of this juice Mrs. Canary." A man walked in, smiling.
"Who are you?" Canary asked.
"I'm Hugo Strange. I own Arkham at the moment. A pleasure to meet you." Hugo bowed and walked to Richard and undid his straight jacket.
Richard quickly moved out of it and stretched. He then moved in front of Canary and stood his ground. He didn't like the fact he was drugged.
"You drugged me." Richard growled.
"I cured you Richard Grayson." Hugo smiled down at Richard. "I think a thank you is well deserved. "
"Then why the shock treatments? Those hurt. A Lot." Richard narrowed his eyes.
"Because it wasn't done yet. And to help reconnect your brain and lower violent tendencies." Hugo smiled at Richard. "Don't question my methods if they work boy. Now. Come with me to my office. There I can give you a small survey. If you pass you are free from all traces of insanity." Hugo held out his arm.
"..." Canary eyed the man with suspicious eyes and grabbed Richard's shoulder and smiled at him. "As his doctor. I will escort Grayson." Canary smiled softly.
"As you wish." Hugo spoke with a soft smile.
The bald man walked forwards and out of the place, and let Canary hold Richard close to her as they followed.
They walked down the halls of Arkham and into a large office far from any cells belonging to the twisted criminally insane inmates. They sat themselves down and Hugo smiled and took out a certificate and a pen, and set them to the side. He then leaned on his desk, and stared Richard directly in the eyes.
"Now Richard. You came here due to being rewired for killing. You have killed many. All against your will, or from a trigger almost implanted into you by this, Deathstroke. Do you hold any ties to that man? And be truthful to me. I can tell when a person lies." Hugo stated.
"No. I hold no ties to that filth!" Richard hissed.
"Good, good. Hugo smiled and nodded. "And do you want to kill?"
"Of course I don't." Richard answered.
"Excellent! It seems you have been fixed by the medicine we gave you. It was the only one we had. Be happy." Hugo then turned to the certificate and began to sign.
Canary was staring daggers into the creepy bald man the whole time he was signing that paper. Richard following her actions. He didn't trust the fact he was suddenly better with a drug this man made one dose of.
He felt like an experiment now.
Not cool.
The man then held the certificate yo Richard, and Richard took it and shook the hand that waited for him. Hugo gleefully shook Richard's hand and patted it.
"I'm glad to see Bruce Wayne's adopted son back to normal. Welcome back to Sanity Richard Grayson." Hugo hummed.
Canary smiled and handed her lab coat to Hugo and she hugged Richard. Richard smiled softly at Hugo.
"Thank you." Richard then stood and exited the office with the man smirking behind them before the door to his office shut. "Not." Richard rolled his eyes and handed the certificate to Canary.
"At least you are better." Canary hummed.
"Yeah." Richard hummed.
"Congratulations Dickie!" The Joker walked towards them.
Canary then growled and shoved Joker back when he got to close and eyed him.
"Watch it! Clown!" Canary snapped. "Stay away from the boy."
"Owie. I didn't mean to harm you two, jeez." Joker readjusted his clothing. "I've only come to congratulate Richard."
"Well. He Thanks you. We will get going now." Canary then turned her back to him and began to walk down the hall, her hands firmly grasping Richard's shoulders.
Richard turned his head and looked over to see Joker smirking and waving bye to them. Canary then made Richard face the front.
"Richard. Don't feed him your attention." Canary spoke softly and quietly before rounding the corner.
Richard nodded weakly and looked forwards. "Well, at least I get to see everyone."
