Guide To The Chronaverse- Starting Out
Okay so today someone asked me which of my books they should read first and I realized that I actually have a MASSIVE library at this point. To make things simpler, here are all of my books and the order in which you should read them to avoid spoilers of any kind, as well as some notes on their creation, plot synopses, a few fun facts, etc.
I doubt more than ten people will ever actually use this but if you have friends you'd like to drag into this show them this.
Dreamland
Synopsis: This is my original fiction series, which I created a loooooong time ago. The world, which is absolutely pending a rename at some point, is constantly changing and evolving, but the gist of it is that it's a world where a host of sentient animals (whom call themselves collectively the Sentient species) live in... peace? The two main species are the Canii, chosen canine children of the god who created their world, as well as the Canira, a vulpine race who live in more rural areas, sometimes serving the Canii and sometimes living in their own packs. It's a world of prophecy, reincarnation, and destiny, centering about a single lone figure- the princess of their race, (as we meet her in The Gardenkeeper's Daughters) Aislyn. She, true daughter of Verhamera, is responsible for their survival, along with an ensemble of heroes and vi- well, morally ambiguous characters.
Except for Nethera.
She sucks.
(This series is all of my NaNoWriMos so far, meaning I write them over the course of one month (November) and it's a yearly event. Anyone who reads my stories, I fully appreciate the support every November... or whenever you get around to reading these.)
1. The Gardenkeeper's Daughters (2015)
The story of two siblings, born the humble daughters of a low-ranked gardenkeeper who does nothing but tend to the plants while the world turns around her. When disaster strikes, two siblings meet one angel, with whom they meet one fiery guard dog, with whom they meet a purple-eyed Canira, with whom they meet a destiny that they're all willing to give anything for but have no idea how to fufill.
Around the corner, a threat like nothing anyone's ever encountered approaches the young world of Dreamland, and the group hovers on the edge of falling to pieces.
2. Double Rainbow (2013)
The reason I got Wattpad in the first place was to write this story, believe it or not. Double Rainbow was my first ever full novel and as such is a bit... rusty. (I made the cover in MS Paint with Comic Sans. Now you know what you're in for.) Despite that, there's some heart to the characters that makes me fall in love with them all over again, nostalgia be damned. Double Rainbow is the story of the three (or is it four? Five, even?) Canira who take on the role of Value Keepers after (way, way, after) the events of The Gardenkeeper's Daughters. As they find each other and themselves, they discover the joy and sadness of being a family, even one that's only held together by a shifty Unknown Canira and the reminder that there's nowhere to go home.
3. Double Rainbow Retold (2015-201?)
A rewritten version of Double Rainbow with several major plot changes and overall better writing. The Gardenkeeper's Daughters works on these plot changes but The Cities Have Fallen doesn't. The changes aren't that major but those with keen eyes will probably notice- at least when I start up Retold again.
Currently on hiatus.
4. The Cities Have Fallen (2014)
Possibly my favorite out of all of my stories. The Cities Have Fallen is the story of Rena, a bright but naive Canis and her newfound ally, a Canira named Gale, as the two of them attempt to live in a world with no Princess and a plague ravaging the land. What they find is the Lira City Defenders, a mixed species group who aims to defend their city from attack, but death rates are high and the risk can't be understated. Despite that, there's a culture and a warmth that lies in the family made of misfits and Rena grows ever closer to the oddly familiar Indigo Swift. When he comes between her and Gale as tensions rise and the group grows in importance to the whole of Dreamland, Rena's decisions might make or break the only family she's ever known.
5?. Return to Dreamland (2015)
A series of short stories and extras, including some spoofs and lots of Indy. They're all around The Cities Have Fallen's time period and revolve around those characters, save for a few, so I wouldn't read it until you've read the others.
DragonClan
Synopsis: A clan unlike most fan made clans you've read about. DragonClan borders the edge between 'out there' and 'straight up alternate universe', a world completely detached and yet with the same fear and feral might of the original series. It's a world of endless forests, clans dying and being born left and right, and black foxes.
There are also some cannibals but we'll get to that later.
1. Vengeance (2013-2014)
My first story I actually wrote on here. Vengeance tells the story of Phoenixkit (who actually wasn't my character in RP) in a dangerous time for DragonClan, which is plagued by a black fox that tears away their members one by one. A prophecy dictates that she will become the one to strike it down, along with one other, but the 'other' is shrouded in mystery and a far more menacing clan lies just behind the borders.
The plot twists in this one are hilariously bad at time, but if you've ever wondered just how weird DC used to be... damn.
2. Thin Ice (2014)
Icekit is your average DragonClan kit, with mystery surrounding her birth and everyone around her. The clan is known for its chaos and constant onslaught of prophecies, but Icekit is still proud to be chosen as one of the special ones. This is until she finds her and her best friends' shared destiny is far less glorious than she previously thought. As things begin to crack and ugly truth rears its head, Icekit must learn to navigate a world on thin ice.
3. DragonClan Spoofs- Up to Rushkit (2014-2015)
Pure, uncensored DragonClan madness. If you've ever wanted to read what it looks like BEFORE I go in and EDIT EVERYTHING TO MAKE IT MAKE SENSE, WELL THIS IS THE REAL DRAGONCLAN.
Oh deer. The stories are meant to be humorous and some of the deeper subject matter was me being a little bit too edgy for my own good because we don't take ourselves seriously. Some of the stuff in there is of questionable moral standards.
Uh well warnings aside.
Cats.
They do things.
4. Ashleap's Fall (2015-201?)
Rushkit is born with the souls of two spirits inside her, two lives long forgotten, and two paths that her previous spirits wish her to walk. While the leader takes immediate interest, her powers get her in trouble as it turns out despite their prestigious history, her previous incarnations are less kind and forgiving than history would make them out to be. Despite this, Rushpaw must dive into the past to find the real answers... after all, why would anyone come back from the dead in such a state, knowing they can never return to StarClan?
5. DragonClan Spoofs- After Rushkit/call (2015-20??)
The madness never ends and neither do the spoofs.
I'm still updating. Kind of.
Whenever comedy gold happens draggy will come in and spoof it up.
Pokemon/Hearts of Gold Trilogy
Synopsis: A series about Ashley and her team, as well as the adventures ensue.
1. Hearts of Gold (2014)
This is actually the second draft of this story. The original is posted at the end (not like you want to read it. Yeesh.) Ashley, a twelve year old girl who dreams of being a Pokemon Trainer, leaves New Bark Town and finds that she is a Goldeneye (this isn't a term used in the first book, it's old), a human with the soul of a Pokemon that died long ago. Though most are rare to begin with, and their powers unspoken of, Ashley is a reincarnation of Celebi itself, and it appears time itself is at stake as she finds herself a pawn to a maniacal demon intent on destroying the world from atop Mount Silver.
2. Second Chances (2014-2016)
Unfortunately, I can't give a synopsis for this story without giving away huge plot details for Hearts of Gold. Just trust me, this one is far better written and the cast is even bigger.
3. Broken Souls (2016- 201?)
Ditto
Other
Rena's Interdimensional Scrapbook (2016-20??)
well you're reading it
there will be spoilers for all of my stuff but I'll tag it before the content for writing or in the title for art so just ignore those chapters if you haven't read it yet
Fandomstuck (2015)
A Homestuck fanfiction in which all of the trolls are based off of fandoms. As expected, their session of SGRUB goes very, very badly. There are some light spoilers for my other stuff- one of the fandoms is the Dreamland fandom.
... She's trash.
The story is never to be completed, though Mystery867 has the remaining part I never posted.
The Line (January 2014)
only true 90's kids remember
(Don't cross the line.)
