Moving on.

So I'd say I talk to about 40% of my audience regularly which sounds like a lot until you realize how small my audience is and then suddenly you realize we're all just a comfy family. If you don't talk to me, you should, because I guarantee we share interests and I'm always here for emotional support (even though I'm a total wreck).

If you already talk to me you know that this has been a really awful month but I think starting now it's going to get better because I said so, god damnit. So here's to punching life in the face, stomping on lemons, and doing some shoddy art.

So everyone probably knows about seraphim and angels and the role they play in Dreamland's lore and that of the general Chronaverse (seriously this is sooo inflating Chrona's ego though) but I spent a while researching other types of angels and while I didn't end up with any new classes, I do have a new species and some background on dragon lore.

This is basic concept for a species whose name is yet undecided, currently translated as the Ophiboros. They're also known as the Firstkind and they are the first dragon race to ever exist, old as the Terreskians themselves. The above is not an exaggeration either- they do indeed coil suns into their bodies, and they are literally as large as entire solar systems. They also have two wings extending from each ring (not pictured above but I will try to draw it out some time), and one feather from said wings has the equivalent power of a Canis horn. A duel between two Ophiboros would be utterly catastrophic, although we would never know about it- the species has been extinct for millenia. They are recorded in few scrolls and most of what is known about them comes from theory. 

Though no dragon races are truly religious, the Firstkind are known by most of the Prime species as the progenitor of all dragon races. It is claimed that as they glided silently through the universes, they would pluck out the eyes from their rings, which would become dragon eggs that would eventually spawn new species of dragons. In fact, some kind of reference to a progenitor species resembling the Ophiboros was originally one of the criteria for a species to become a dragon race, along with reptilian biology, wings, and horns. Basically all of these criteria have been waived in some way over eons, but this one seems to have completely disappeared.

In classical Aerotopian (the homeworld of most dragons and the dragon world described in TGD)  lore, the Ophiboros are often depicted biting their own tails.

Did some Iris sketches to ease math stress because math stress. It's hard to be sad when Iris is happy. 

Tried to color some Iris sketches. Let's just say I have a long way to go on her color palette and it is going to take a lot of work to make her not look like a Webkinz gone wrong.

Yeah I admit I can't stop internally humming the Mike Krol songs from Steven Universe. Older!Gale gets way too much attention from me because on one hand he's not even relevant but on the other I can't decide on how long his snoot should be so all worldbuilding must cease until then. I mean there's the secrets of the universe and then there's Gale's snoot I think I have my priorities in order.

I was considering renaming Natrina and redoing her design so she and Lotus look... actually related because they so don't in canon. I've even got a nickname and everything but I just can't get myself to change it so yeah everyone yay or nay on Harebell

Also because I have to do this, guess HOW this all changes? It's a really simple change that prevents Spritz from almost killing himself and then meeting Nat like in DR!R canon- he knew Snow Hare longer.

Because of that, when she was gone, he knew more about the type of Canira she was and they'd discussed long term stuff like this, since death is an inevitability. He knew she'd want him to be there and keep working in her memory to make their kingdom a better place for all Canira in their ranks.

Plus, he was right- after it was all over, Snow Hare ended up making it back to the iceberg and they ruled together afterwards. Snow Hare still gives birth to Rain.

More Twitch sketches. This would probably be him on his last night before he blows it, which is going to be SO DIFFERENT in TCHF!Revised whenever I end up doing that.

Honestly if I could fix anything about TCHF, it would be the treatment of a lot of the characters, including Kairu and Blossom (who never got to do anything), Nina (whose motives have changed a lot and were never explored at all in the original story), and the utter moral confusion that was Thistlepatch, but ESPECIALLY Twitch. Twitch was possibly my biggest mistake in the whole book because I don't think I ever really treated him with anything but contempt and it shows.

You can write assholes.

Fine. Great. Please write assholes.

But you, as an author, need to respect said assholes. You should respect all your characters, including villains. At the very least they should have motives but following that you need to make sure that anything they get coming to them is deserved.

I did not get that in eighth grade.
