Tangentially, Daughter is great.

This likely will be the last chapter, though, because deleting chapters is kind of a pain in the ass and as I said, I'm going with the whole one-artbook-a-year thing. I'm going to be making a LOT of new books soon because (new year's resolution here and earlier promises) so I guess adding in an art book won't hurt.

I don't know how I'm going to set this all up around family bonding time, though. Anyone else have family in for Christmas? Well I'm the family going out. At my grandparents' right now.

The mountains are beautiful this time of year. They're beautiful every time of year. I've mentioned I love rural places, right? I really, really do and this place is kind of that great mix of seeming isolated but there's still a city nearby so you're not completely stranded... it's great.

Well, I guess this is the last chapter. I don't have any particularly impressive art but I do have some so let's see what I can do.

This is actually months old but apparently I NEVER posted that Deja Vu chapter and a lot of the art is super dated so it's up for debate if I ever will. I'm so going to draw these guys more in the 2017 so I guess you'll all just get exposition over a long period of time? Anyhow a lot of the drawings were super spoiler-y... I mean the book really only has one big twist... but I don't want to give it away because it's top tier Chrona twist. 

Howlclaw, world's angriest Munchkin. She's short, she can't run very fast, she's probably going to kick your ass anyways. She's from the warriors fanfic I'm probably going to start today or tomorrow, known simply as Where The River Bends. The premise was originally a slice of life thing where all the characters, to some degree, are able to hold their own subplots, but the overarching narrative ain't bad either. Most of the semi-major characters tie into it and then there's just a loooot of stuff going on on the sides.

These two aren't even born until half way through the story but they're pretty and I love them

There's Mackerelfang, formerly known as Mac. He's an outside from a port town further down the river where there are Complicated Cat Politics and someone kind of murdered someone important... whoops... that's not going to bite him in the ass later at all...

Foxcatcher is the RyeClan deputy and kind of a snide ass, but the leader appreciates that and so does a certain other tom who's had his eye on him forever. He's kind of got a wonky design but I personally like it even if I'm going to have to tweak it later.

Now for the weather.

I keep drawing my DnD character and she keeps being a mess (THOSE FEET ARE NOT LEVEL). Let's just call her a very, very abstract Tiefling. The bro on the left is her psuedodragon familiar (she's a warlock) who may or may not have been stolen from a wizard. He doesn't talk much and kind of hates his life but he's magically bound to her so I guess they're gonna have to bond at some point.

I forget if I posted this or not, seeing as my computer already had the image uploaded... really I was just screwing with brushes, this is really bad but it was super fun to mess with. Fennelheart is my current RP in DragonClan, which I promised to give up for Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas/The New Year/Lent/The rest of my life. Unfortunately I'm addicted and everyone on there has this thing they do where they make me feel good about myself and are just very pleasant people and I appreciate that too much to give them up anyhow. Also I just ended up with six kits and a very nice mate so I might have to keep this rollin' for a bit.

Finally, an art comparison. This is (within ten days or so) a full year's worth of improvement, though the former was pretty good for me at the time and the latter is a five minute doodle.

The lesson here, kids, is to follow your dreams. Draw cats from the side. Make up all sorts of bullshit characters, monologue about them for thousands of words, and watch as no one really gets what you're talking about but are nonetheless impressed by your dedication. This year, do something incredible. Even if you just continue to exist and draw occasionally, that might be a goal for you. Awesome. Don't worry about other people's standards, surpass your own and you'll get there. You're one day wiser and stronger than you were yesterday. That's incredible. You're incredible. Have a good night.
