Daily Doodle- Redrawn Scrapped/Unused Characters

I redid some irrelevant characters.I was going to put this up two nights ago but the Wi Fi said no. Then last night, I talked to friends and tried to give myself "a break" and it went...

well I guess. Anyhow here are the long-awaited sketches. Enjoy?

Sorrel (excuse the paws and background) is a character from Tails of Fate, a proposed sequel to Double Rainbow taking place ten years later, making it a little earlier than The Cities Have Fallen ended up being. Sorrel is the Keeper of Determination, I believe, but in all honesty I'm not quite sure. Regardless she's a Twig Canira about a foot high with an affinity for a flute-like instrument called a lyta. As sort of a consolation prize for her story being destroyed and her being rendered irrelevant, she's also kind of a background character in The Cities Have Fallen.

Theo (from theology) was the Keeper of Hope/Leadership (can't remember which one) for Tails of Fate and then almost got a story of his own entitled the Lucifer Project before that was ripped away too. He's my favorite by far out of the group and I might actually have to use him again at some point. In Tails of Fate he lives with Cherry Blossom and upon having to leave the now-oppressive Lucifer Canira society ends up falling in love with a Nyuhenge called Piper. He is level-headed and rational, if a bit smug at times, sort of like Dark Rainbow at the time.

Stary, the last of the three, was the Keeper of Hope/Leadership and the final narrator of Tails of Fate. She is probably one of the most gimmicky, Mary Sue characters I've ever written about, but ironically,  I ended up keeping her premise and using it in a later book. This sound familiar to anyone... two souls, one body? Stary was Rushcall before Rushcall existed. She's a Wolf Wolrd (oh yeah that's so getting trashed in new canon, fucking hate half of these side worlds) denizen who followed a portal to Dreamland because reasons and then took on the souls of Dark Rainbow and Glitchpaw, protagonist of The Line, which is a story that isn't up anymore.

If that sounds stupid it's because it is an I'm so glad this story doesn't exist.

While Theo and Sorrel ended up having cameos in TCHF in more minor roles, Stary's backstory was altered dramatically and she became Pathogen. Pathogen's story is actually really interesting but I don't think I'm ever going to get around to putting it down on paper.

Rat is an OC I made in eighth grade because weird pupils and oversaturated OCs were in. He used to have way larger ears that draped around his back but now he just looks like an angry sphynx chihuahua who happens to spit lava. He's still super fun to draw though.

Lime is really really old. Really really really old. Like first-canon old. For now, he lives in the same city as Holly, another abandoned character, and that's it.

Before there were Defenders, I still really liked the idea of magical dog squadrons going out on adventures completely separate from the main characters, so Fishtail/Sushi is one of the earliest characters who did whatever he wanted without the main squad of the time around. I also really like messing with water-based Canis designs.

I totally had something planned for Dreamland post TCHF which involved physical incarnations of the diadems and Toby Kairo, cunning thief and survivalist, but I never went through with any of it.

Piper is Theo's love interest from Tails of Fate. I never planned much for her but I did really like her design.

Exo  is an artificial Terreskian.

I never had a name from this character, but she's from The Panacea Project and will still probably come up again. She's a smaller species with a high durability to pain and as such, she experiments on herself often to bypass ethics rules.

Enigma is Axiom's father and used to be one of those too-edgy-for-you characters. He's in TCHF but he doesn't exactly do much... I may extrapolate on him when I rewrite TCHF.

Dusksong and Dawnsong are two of my Warrior OCs from the third grade. I was thinking of sprucing them up with some new abilities and redoing their backstory... but now that I look back on it, it's actually pretty solid.

Cosette is the closest thing Dreamland has to a pop star. I'm going to have to rename her, unfortunately.
