March to December 2021

Wow! Time Flies!

So, a lot has happened and changed.  I'll do a quick summary here:

March - picked up an FMS P-39 980mm monoplane with retracts, flaps, and a programmable receiver.  More flights with the Waco.  First flight with the Staggerwing!  It is so fast I had to swap out the motor.

April - U-2 Arrives!  Now I have to piece it back together, program a receiver, and test.  More flights with the Waco and Staggerwing.

May - Failed U-2 test flights.  Found I had to reprogram ALL of the servos.  I add landing gear and she flies at the end of the month! Bought and flying a Conscendo Evolution.

June - Waco, Staggerwing, Conscenedo and U-2 flights.  On a U-2 takeoff, the battery shifted and she crashed.

July - Waco, Staggerwing.  U-2 is repaired and takes to the air again.  Given an F-18.  bought a broken UMX Turbo Timber and rebuilt it.

August - Conscendo, U-2 and P-39 flights.

Fall - Conscendo nose dives into the mud, P-39 crashes into a tree due to a controller failure.  U-2 Looses power after front wheels fly off on take off.

Picked up a crashed Turbo Timber and rebuild it.  Replace the Conscendo, then rebuild the broken one.  Fix the P-39 and had several more flights before it lost power on a flight.  After repairs, got it up, but lost orientation on a turn and down she went again.  Given a Pitts and a Large E-Fair (glider - still in a box)

Flying: Turbo Timber, Waco, Staggerwing, Conscendo-I, Pitts

In repair: U-2, P-39, B-25, F-18

In box:  E-Fair, Staggerwing (kit)
