July

Mostly working on the UMX planes.  The new (used) UMX Timber - Timber1, flew fine on the first two flights.  At the park she continued to fly well.  I cartwheeled her on a sharp low turn (broke the nose piece off), and again on a landing.  All was fine until the last battery (and last flight), when, after a few minutes, she suddenly dove towards the ground - but was going quite slow.  Then I recognized what had happened, the wing came off!

She flittered to the ground without issue.  No real damage, the glue just disintegrated.

Timber2 (older), had it's ailerons connected backwards, and had a rough landing, younger pilot decided not to fly it after that (even though I fixed the aileron connectors).  FW190 had it's first two flights.  First ended in a cartwheel that pulled out one of the landing gear.  The second was a longer run, but crashed and broke the prop.

Cessna flew for the first time in months.  This time with a UMX Timer controller and motor.  The wind was a little much for it, but otherwise it flew okay.

No Carbon Cub, Super Cub, Waco, or Pitts flights for July.
