Date: November 13th, 1942, 8:16AM

Location: San Fransico, California 

Another morning sun rose on the state of California and the city of San Fransico as people started getting up and out of bed to prepare for the day. But as people started going about their business in the morning something off the coast caught everyone's eyes. It was another plot of land not far from where the city was. Then people then started to freak out just a little bit as they had no idea where this new plot of land came from out of nowhere.

1 Week later...

After seeing this new plot of land right next to America's coastline the US military was on high alert now more than ever. People were wondering how this new land just seemingly popped up out of nowhere and were also wonder if there were people on the new land. As if the war going on wasn't bad enough America now had a new problem to face and it was to figure out what to do about this new occasion. However, the people of America got one thing right as there was other people on the new land but, they were not normal people. 

Date: November 21st, 1942, 10:16AM

Location: Vale, Beacon Academy, Team Dorms 

At Beacon academy everything was so normal like it usually was, as in students and staff alike were worried about the new land just off the eastern coast of vale as it was all over the news. Everyone in Vale were trying their best to keep calm but it proved to be very difficult as the earthquake a week ago may have done something. But was made more confusion was the fact that the moon was no longer shattered but, instead a complete and solid shape. Everything was just not in a good way was to put it lightly. 

In one of the dorms one team was really getting worked up over the recent events surrounding them and others. The team leader was pacing around the room as she was wondering if there was anything that could be done. She was a fair-skinned young girl in her mid-teenage years as she had black hair with red accents. Her outfit consisted of a black long-sleeved dress with a high collar and red trimming on the edges. She also had a pair of thick black stockings and black Combat boots with red laces and trim. This girl was the leader of Team RWBY Ruby Rose.

Ruby: How could something like this Happen?

???: Ruby will you just calm down.

The girl trying to calm down the team leader was dressed in a white/pale blue thigh-length strapless dress and the hem of his is scalloped and stitched to resemble snowflakes. Her boots are white, wedged heeled and higher at the back than the front. She is a pale-skinned young woman with blue eyes and long white hair that is pulled off-center to the right into a ponytail. This is Ruby's rich partner, Weiss Schnee. 

Weiss: You have been pacing for the past three days!

???: Well Weiss she has good reason to be pacing. 

The third girl that spoke was sitting down on her bed reading a book. She wears a black buttoned vest with coattails and a single silver button on the front with a white, sleeveless, high necked, crop undershirt and white shorts with a zipper on the front of each leg. she also wears black low-heeled boots and full stockings with a color graduation of black to purple on her ankles. On her head she wears a black bow ribbon in order to conceal a pair of cat ears hinting that she was of Faunus nature. She is a fair-skinned young woman with long, wavy black hair and amber eyes. She is the cat Faunus in disguise, Blake Belladonna.

Blake: I mean, I would feel the same way if I were in her shoes. 

???: I could say the same thing, Blake!

The last girl in the room wears a tan jacket that bares her midriff, with golden brown pipping and short, puffy sleeves with black cuffs that feature two golden buttons and underneath that was a low-cut yellow crop top with her emblem on the left breast in black. Also, a part of her outfit is a pleated brown piece of material reaching from hip to hip around her waist and under that was a pair of black mini shorts. On her feet was a pair of brown knee-high boots and orange over the knee socks with the right one below the knee with a gray bandanna around her left knee. She also had an orange scarf and black fingerless gloves to go with her outfit. She was a fair-skinned young woman with lilac eyes and bright golden hair with a cowlick sticking out at the top. She is Ruby's hot-headed half-sister, Yang Xiao Long.

Yang: Ruby, I think you just need to calm down. 

Ruby: Easier said than done Yang, I just...

Yang: Can't get your mind off of what happened recently? 

Ruby: Yes.

Weiss: Well, I believe we should remain calm until we know what to do. 

Just then they heard the intercom crackle to life.

???: Would teams RWBY and JNPR report to the headmaster's office please? 

Team RWBY then all looked at one another as the intercom turned off.

Blake: Well, I wonder what the headmaster wants to see us for? 

Weiss: I have a feeling nothing good.

Ruby: Well, better not keep him waiting! Let's go team!

Time skip to later...

A little while later after making their way to the headmaster's office team RWBY then came upon another team they know very well. 

The first guy was a young man with tall fair skin and blue eyes wearing a black short sleeved hoodie with armor plates on his back, chest, and shoulders. He also is wearing blue jeans with black sneakers and has a sword on his left hip in a sheath that doubles as a shield. He was quiet toned for his age having strong muscles all over his body. He was the team leader Jaune Arc.

The second person in the group was wearing a brown overbust corset with a vertical strip of lighter brown in the center with a elastic, black, A-line mini skirt and brown opera-length gloves on her arms. She wore a red ankle-length sash that wrapped around her skirt and also has a small circular bronze plate on her right hip opposite two pouches connected to a belt. She also had on bronze greaves that started below her mid-thigh before continuing down into her boots. She had her red hair in a waist-length ponytail and her eyes were a light green. She was Mistral's three time champion Pyrrha Nikos.

The third person was a boy wearing a dark green, diagonally-buttoned, long-sleeved tailcoat that is red on the inside, with black and gold trimming and pink cuffs. Underneath the coat is a black, long sleeved shirt and light tan pants with black shoes. His hair is black in color with a magenta streak on the left side and the back of his hair is tied into a ponytail, and the color of his eyes matched the streak in his hair. He is a fellow member of the team, Lie Ren.

And the finale member of the team was a young girl with fair skin, ginger colored hair and turquoise eyes. She wore a collared black vest that ends at her waist with white sleeveless top that forms a tiny heart shape cut out over her chest, with a white detached sleeve on each arm. She sports a short pink skirt that starts at her waist and ends mid-thigh, and her shoes are white with pink laces and has armor worn from her shoulders and neck and ends by her waist. She is the energetic and playful partner of Ren, Nora Valkyrie. 

???: Ah Team RWBY glad you could make it. 

The voice came from a man with fair-skin, short white hair, and brown eyes. His dress was mainly all black from the suit to the pants with some hints of green on some parts. He wore a pair of dark spectacles on his face and had a coffee mug at his side. He was the headmaster of the academy Professor Ozpin.

Next to the headmaster was his assistant wearing a white button up shirt and a black skirt with black leggings and heels. She also had blonde hair tied into a bun on the back of her head with green eyes. She was Glynda Goodwitch. 

Ozpin: Oh, come now Glynda, at least they got here. 

Ruby: What did you need us for professor?

Ozpin: I'm sure you're all aware of the new land that has popped up, correct? 

Ruby: Yes.

Jaune: Kinda hard not to hear about it. 

Ozpin: The reason I have called you both here is regarding that.

Ozpin then took a sip of coffee before continuing. 

Ozpin: I want you both to investigate this new land near our eastern coast.

Weiss: Will we have a Veteran huntsman with us?

Glynda: Unfortunately, no we have called everyone we know but no one is available. 

Ozpin: Which is why I am asking you eight. Not one person in Vale is going to calm down until we get some answers. 

The two team leaders then pondered in their thoughts for a moment before looking at one another. On one hand if they chose to accept this request from the headmaster it could be a new learning experience for them and their teams. But on the other hand, they would risk going on the mission with very little knowledge of what to expect on the new land. 

Ozpin: Of course, the chose is yours to make. You can say no if you feel like it's too much for you to bare. 

Jaune and Ruby then looked at their teammates as if asking for answer. Everyone in the group all nodded to their team leaders in a way of saying yes. The two leaders then turned back to Ozpin.

Ruby: We'll do it professor.

Jaune: You can count on us sir!

Ozpin: Very good. Have your things packed, you'll leave in an hour.

Jaune/Ruby: Yes sir!

As the two teams left the office to go get ready for their mission Glynda then looked to Ozpin with a concerned face. 

Glynda: Are you sure this is a good idea Ozpin?

Ozpin: Those two teams show great promise to become huntsman and huntresses. Their teamwork is also noteworthy as well. 

Glynda: But they are still in training. I don't think they are ready for this kind of work yet. 

Ozpin: Well, you said yourself that no one else is available right now. Besides the public wants answers and we need them as soon as possible.

Glynda: Otherwise, the panic will just attract Grimm. 

Ozpin: Exactly, we just need to have faith in the two teams. 

But what Ozpin didn't know was that he made a choice that was going to change the world for years to come. 

A little while later...

After packing what was necessary for the journey that lay ahead teams RWBY and JNPR were now making their way to the docking ports. While they were walking to their transport, they were having a little bit of a chat with their mission they were going on. 

Nora: I'm excited! We're going to be the first ones to explore this new land!

Ren: Nora, we don't know what we're going up against.

Yang: Don't worry about Ren, I'm sure we can beat up anyone that gets in our way!

Weiss: Just try not to beat up anyone we don't want to make enemies with if there are locals on the new land.

Yang: Hey I have self-control ice queen! 

Weiss: Stop calling me that! 

Ruby: Come on guys, stay positive! We're going to explore somewhere new!

Blake: I guess it could be fun. 

As they were walking to their aircraft Pyrrha then noticed the look of concern on Jaune's face.

Pyrrha: Are you okay Jaune?

Jaune: Huh? oh uh... yeah I'm fine.

But Pyrrha wasn't buying it.

Pyrrha: Jaune...*Looks at him with concerned eyes*

Jaune: Uh, okay fine, I'm...just a little nervous.

Pyrrha: About exploring a new land that came out of nowhere?

Jaune: Yeah that.

Pyrrha: Well, no matter what we face we'll be there for you. 

Jaune: Thanks Pyrrha.

The group then stood at the landing platform as a aircraft came into view and landed in front of the students. 

(A bullhead...)

Ruby: Alright guys, Lets go explore the new land!

The eight students then boarded the aircraft and then set off towards the new land to the eastern coast of Vale. However, as they flew towards the new land the eight students had no idea that they were about to make history. 

Meanwhile back on the US side...

Over the Pacific Ocean a lone US Navy PBY Catalina was doing routine patrol around the coast of San Fransico to look out for Japanese vessels. But the crew of the aircraft were also looking out for anything over in the new land. 

???: Hey Captain, you think there's anyone living on that new land that popped up from nowhere?

???: I don't know honestly, if there are let's hope they are friendly.

???: I could agree with you there, we don't need any more problems than what we got already. 

Captain: Yeah, dealing with the Japanese in this part of the world and all that. 

Copilot: Let's just hope that if there are people on that new land, let's hope they are friendly. 

The crew of the aircraft was then not far from the coast of the new land that came out of nowhere keeping a lookout for anything out of the ordinary. But as they were flying at about 7,550 feet in the sky one of the crewmembers then saw something leaving the mainland of the new area and heading for the US. 

Crewmate #1: Uh, Captain? I've got sights on an aircraft about 2,000 feet below us heading for the states. 

Captain: What does it look like?

Crewmate #1: Its gray in color, looks like it has two engines of sorts on the ends of its wings. 

The captain then looked towards where the unknown aircraft was near the ground and sure enough it was heading in the direction of the US. 

Captain: What in the name of... what is that?! 

The other members of crew then also tried to get a look at the unknown aircraft heading for their country. The captain then turned the plane in the same direction as the unknown aircraft was heading. 

Captain: Hey Denny, radio back to base let them know what's coming! 

The radioman of the crew then got to work to radio back to base about the unknown aircraft. 

Denny: You got it Cap! 

A little while later...

With the two teams of Huntsmen and huntresses the journey to the new land was becoming a bit of a long one as they spent the last hour just traveling to the coast of Vale. But now the pilot said that they would be reaching the new land in about a matter of minutes.

Ruby: Oh, were getting closer! 

Yang: Indeed, we are little sister!

Weiss: About time. I'll be glad once we are off this aircraft. 

Jaune: Ugh...same...

Pyrrha: Motion sickness Jaune?

Jaune: just a little...

Just then Nora gave him a slap on the back.

Nora: Aw don't worry our fearless leader! We're almost there. 

Jaune: I hope so...ugh.

Just then the pilot spoke up.

Pilot: I can see the coastline of the new land kids! We're almost there!

Ruby: Thanks for the update!

Pilot: No problem!

The Pilot then when back to his business flying the aircraft. But then a beeping sound came from his radar screen as it showed four yellow dots heading right for them. But before he could figure out what they were he then saw the crafts in question heading for him. The four aircraft then flew right over the bullhead as the Bullhead pilot flinched a little when the planes flew past them so close, and they got the attention of the two teams in the bullhead. 

Yang: What was that?

Pilot: I don't know, something just flew past us. 

But then the sound of an unfamiliar type of engine was then heard outside the bullhead as Ruby looked out the side window and saw some aircraft that were unfamiliar to her. 

(The P-40 Warhawk...) 

Ruby: W-what aircrafts are those?

It was then Weiss looked out the same window to see the aircraft.

Weiss: Nothing I have ever seen before... I don't recognize their markings either. 

She was right as the symbol on the planes was a blue circle with a white star in the center with white rectangles of the sides of the circle. 

Blake: Just who are they?

As the pilot was wondering what to do the radio then started to crackle a little before hearing a faint voice come through it.

Radio: *Static* Respo- *Static* you are tresspas- *Static*

Pilot: Could it be those planes next to us?

The pilot then adjusted the frequency of the radio until the voice became clear. 

Radio: Unidentified aircraft you are trespassing in US airspace state your intentions or we will open fire on you. 

Pilot: Oh dear...*Turns on the mic* This is Pilot Darnell Evans of Beacon Academy, and our intention is to explore this land that came out of nowhere, who are you though?

Radio: I'm Captain Ron Davidson United states Army Air corps.  

Darnell: US Army air corps?  Never heard of it. 

Radio: Yeah well, you are entering US Airspace, I going to have to ask you to come back to our base or we will shoot you down. 

Darnell: No, don't shoot there are children abort.

Ron: Then I suggest you follow my orders, and nothing bad will happen.

Darnell: Um... yes sir...

With that the four planes then formed a diamond formation around the bullhead with one plane in the front, two on the sides, and finally one in the back. The two teams inside the bullhead also took noticed of this while it was happening. 

Ruby: Um pilot? Why are those four planes surrounding us?

Darnell: Well, I just spoke with them on the radio and... um they want us to follow them back to their base...

Yang: Why can't we just outrun them?

Darnell: The leader said he would shoot us down if we resisted.

Yang: Oh. So, you're saying we got no choice in the matter.

Darnell: Yeah, that's what I am saying and that's what the leader told me.

Weiss: Well, that's just great! 

Pyrrha: I just hope we didn't do something wrong. 

Nora: Aw come on! What's the worst thing that could happen? 

A little while later...

After a little more flying over the new land and being escorted by the four unknown planes to wherever their base was. However, as they were flying along the sight of the base then came into view of the students. 

Darnell: Well kids, were coming up on their base I think...?

Ruby: *Looks out the window* Not what I was expecting...

Jaune: I just hope they are friendly.

Just then the captain of the four planes then radioed Darnell again. 

Ron: Land just near the hanger on the Western side of the airfield. 

Darnell: Copy...

Darnell then flew the bullhead to where he was instructed to as he began the land procedure, as he did so he noticed people surrounding the bullhead all aiming guns at it. Then a couple of vehicles then came up with the soldiers with mounted guns on them also aiming at the bullhead. As the Bullhead landed on the ground a loud voice was then heard coming from outside.

???: Turn off the engines and step out of the aircraft or we will shoot!

The two teams looked out the windows of the bullhead to see that they were surrounded on all sides by soldiers.

Jaune: what do we do now?

Ren: We can't fight them all, they'll kill us if we resist.

Nora: So, we're just gonna surrender? Like that?

Ren: Nora, there are more of them then there are of us, they won't hesitate to kill us if we do not cooperate. 

Pyrrha: He does have a point Nora, besides I don't think fighting will get us out of this situation. 

Nora huffed as she knew she couldn't win the argument. 

Ruby: Well, better not keep them waiting...

Yang: It's okay sis, were with you.

The scene then switches to back outside the aircraft with all the soldiers still aiming at it in case the people inside tried anything funny. Then the two doors on the side of the aircraft then raised open revealing a group of eight teenage kids inside. 

soldier #2: If you have weapons, throw them to the ground and put your hands on your head! 

The eight teenagers then hopped out of the bullhead and did what the unknown soldiers told them to do. The two teams threw their weapons to the ground and put their hands on their heads. The soldiers then approached the group and first grabbed their weapons off the ground and then forced the teens to the ground while handcuffing their hands behind their backs. 

Ruby: (In her mind: I just hope these people are friendly...)

Oh no Teams RWBY and JNPR have been arrest by the US Military! 

Anyways This took me a while to brainstorm but I finally did with some help from Raival904 he helped me come up the idea for this chapter!

Now, the next book that will be update will be my marines one, so stay tuned for that!
