(Timeskip 4 years)

(Summer's POV)

It's been 4 years since I adopted Y/N and Esdeath and I must say they seemed to be destined for greatness. Esdeath was a rather fast learner with her choice of weaponry:A long rapier.She hasn't gotten her semblance yet but she seems to be fine without one so far.For Y/N he's seems to be a prodigy, despite only being 4 he already 7 years ahead of kids his age in intellect, is very confident and determined in whatever task he himself sets or anyone else, a great swordsman already, always accomplish missions in record time and from what I always see he doesn't feel fear,nothing seems to scare him whatsoever. Regarding his relations with his other siblings is the as good as his skills, him and Yang are inseparable and very alike,both are thrill seekers, prefer to use their hands to fight rather than weapons,make puns(unfortunately) and overall just love being with each other. He looks up to Raven,Qrow and Quill which me and Tai have mixed feelings about since we love how he wants to be a hunter we both just hope he won't end up a drunk one or like Raven. Don't get me wrong, Raven is a great fighter and a better mother ever since she brought the two but she still is somewhat merciless towards grimm and criminals we find since she chooses to kill them depending on what crime they committed. Speaking of Y/N something I've noticed about him is that he has heterochromia meaning his eyes are two separate colors his right being a fire orange while his left was a shining silver which is something that definitely help him get into Beacon. After awhile of him training with Quill who seemed to have taken a liking to him, Qrow and Raven came by and said they were going to Atlas since Ironwood wanted to talk about the creatures that they have encountered since Raven after 4 years found another one coming close and when she killed it,the corpse was found by a Atlas soldier that was walking by. 

 Qrow:" Great now we have to go talk to him and I bet he isn't gonna like the fact that we knew for 4 years and didn't tell him."

 Qrow and Ironwood never really saw eye to eye how to deal with situations nor did he like taking orders from him.

Raven:" I hate this as much as you but he won't stop bugging us about it till we talk to him about, plus Ozpin might be there so James might not be as annoying as he normally is."

Just then as I was making dinner Y/N walked in to ask me what those two were talking about. Summer:" Well sweety they have to go meet a friend of ours and the general of Atlas to discuss somethings."

I wanted to put this lightly since I didn't want to tell him just yet why since if I did then that may end up leading to the slip up of him being adopted or how he was found since at 4 that would definitely have a bad outcome, then I realized how his eyes lit up when I said general. 

Y/N:" A general?! They're so cool! Can I please go mommy!? I'll be on my best behavior plus seeing Atlas would be so cool!" 

I gave a little smile since he never really left Patch and as I said before he's a thrill seeker but sending him to Atlas wasn't really something I wanted to do especially since Qrow and Jame's arguments always almost end up in a fight. Just then Tai walks having heard the conversation and said something surprising. 

Tai:" I think that's a good idea honestly since you will get to meet up with Ozpin and Ironwood would be too busy with Qrow's antics to probably care or even really notice." 

I was there still surprised Tai would let him go but then I realized if Ozpin saw Y/N's silver eye and his skills then him going to Beacon shouldn't be a problem I sighed and said to Y/N.

Summer:" Okay you can Y/N but please stay close to Qrow and Raven and do what they say okay?"

 Y/N nodded his head excitedly and then ran off to tell the two third of the Branwen twins about what me and Tai agreed to. Qrow was fine with it and Raven didn't mind in her words "actual good company" though she did add that she would pummel Ironwood if he bothered Y/N in anyway. 

 [Timeskip 20 minutes]
Raven's POV
Arriving at Atlas, we walked around a bit since we weren't in a hurry and Y/N being the curious little guy he was stared at all the buildings that either contained dust new robot trash soldier or new weapons that the Atlas military were using for the war with HER. Waiting for a escort before we were to meet the others was a pain since I had better things to be doing,finally we were led to a big room that had Ozpin, Glynda and the "man of the hour" James with his arms crossed. When we showed Ozpin immediately noticed Y/N on Qrow's shoulders and let out a sigh knowing how Ironwood was gonna react to this.

Ironwood:" Qrow! Raven! Why did you bring this child to this meeting?! This is not some game!" 

Raven:*Annoyed tone*" This child is my nephew and he apparently wanted to see you believe it or not"

 Ironwood:*surprised* " Me? Why would he want to see me?"

 Raven:" He wanted to see Atlas and it's general so here he is and he's only 4 he's not even gonna care or understand what we're talking about."

Ironwood sighs while Ozpin seems amused by Y/N till Glynda tapped his shoulder and pointed at Y/N's eyes. Ozpin then made his presence known by walking to Y/N and bending down to be at somewhat eye level.

Ozpin:" Hello their young man my name is Ozpin and this lady here is my assistant Glynda Goodwitch*points to a beautiful blonde woman with a stoic demeanor*"

 Y/N gives a cute smile and shakes Ozpin's hand.

Y/N:" It's really nice to meet you Mr Ozpin and you too Ms Goodwitch."

 Glynda responds with a simple head nod while Ironwood is just there still wondering why a child would want to meet him and why The two siblings had to bring him. Ironwood fakes a cough to gain everyone's attention. 

Ironwood:" Well we're all here and despite us having a unexpected guest I guess we can continue since I want to discuss the creatures huntsman and my soldiers have been encountering."

While he was talking Y/N saw a revolver that was on Ironwood's table that was open so he quietly walked over to pick the gun up and saw a single bullet next to it.What else caught his attention was the man aiming the rifle towards the back of Ironwood's head! Immediately Y/N had to make a decision to shoot the man or let him kill Ironwood and it was pretty obvious which one Y/N would choose.

Everyone was absolutely shocked to have witnessed what just happened. A 4 year old child had just quick drawed a Atlas soldier that had tried to shoot Ironwood. They looked at the soldier who was on the ground with a bleeding right shoulder before two other soldiers ran over to apprehend him, then the adults looked to Y/N who was still holding the revolver before slowly walking over to the general.

Y/N:*Shaky voice*"He-e-res your g-gun sir."

The scared boy then with shaking hands handed the gun over to Ironwood. James was speechless but was also impressed to see a child use a weapon perform and act on flawless instinct. James then remember hearing from Quill that her nephew was a prodigy and seeing what transpired made James believe that this boy with the right training could one day become the perfect warrior.

 Ironwood:"Young man I have a proposition for you, how would you like to be trained by Atlas's finest soldiers?"

 Everyone was once again shocked to hear James offer to this 4 year old but Raven and Qrow both thought training Y/N by Jame's soldiers wasn't really a good idea. 

Raven:"Are you saying James that me and my team can't train anyone?"

 Proceeds to glare at the general and then goes to her nephew to pick him up.

Y/N:"General Ironwood, why me instead of someone else?"

 Ironwood gave a genuine smile which was rare to say the least. 

Ironwood:"Because young one you saved a life without hesitation and with great skill."

Y/N looked at Raven and Qrow for their opinions. 

Qrow:"This is up to you kid."

 Raven was a bit more hesitant but came up with something that would ensure Y/N's safety.

Raven:"I'll agree but I think at least one member of my team will have to watch over him while your training him."

 James nodded and said those terms will be allowed.

[Timeskip 2 hours]
Returning to Patch we explained to the remainder of my team what happened and needless to say they were in shock and awe but both hesitant to have Y/N trained by Atlas but begrudgingly agreed when Ironwood agreed to allow a member of our team watch over him. After the explanation they decided to call it a day and head to bed.

Raven's POV
God this was a Hella eventful day and I swear one of my longest *sigh* guess now I can finally rest at least. After finishing a good shower and putting on my sleepwear I went to my room to be greeted by Y/N waiting for me with a small blanket in his little hands and his head down. I asked if he was OK since this was a first from him then he asked if he could sleep with me for the night, this was surprising to me since he never asked Summer or Quill that so I asked him why.He then raised his head only for me to see tears in his eyes and what he said made perfect sense to why he asked to sleep with me. 

Y/N:" I didn't mean to almost kill that man it just happened and I'm scared something like that will happen again." 

I went to him and gave him a hug to calm him down since he almost killed a person at 4 years old which would have a VERY dark effect on his mind. I looked down and saw he fell asleep in my arms and with a smile I went to my bed and fell asleep with Y/N on my chest.

[Timeskip morning] Qrow's POV
I woke up at 10 since I drank a bit since yesterday was damn crazy with Y/N shooting that asshole and Jimmy offering to train him. As I went outside I saw Esdeath and Y/N looking around as if looking for something which confused me since I saw Zwei still sleeping on the couch so what were they looking for? I then saw something that made me think I had one too many to drink:A big chunk of ice that encased a tree. I couldn't believe that something like that just appeared I was so shocked that I didn't hear the Boarbatusk till it was too late. The Goddamn thing sped towards while Y/N pushed Esdeath to the side so it wouldn't hit her I ran towards him even though I knew I wouldn't make it their in time, but then the ice-encased finally made sense when Esdeath suddenly shot a ice shard toward the Boarbatusk that pierced it's damn skull killing it. I stood there frozen (no pun intended) seeing a seven year old child with a semblance like that was awesome but when I saw Y/N push Esdeath so he would take the hit rather than her so she would live was heartwarming.I snapped out of my thoughts and ran over to them to see if they were okay when Esdeath then ran over to Y/N with a strong hug calling him her hero which perfectly described what he did. I went and picked them both up and walked into the house to explain what happened when the others woke up though I knew I was gonna need another drink after this shit.
