Anthony : " What's so funny about it? ", he asked him politely as to why Y/n was chuckling all of a sudden as if he had heard a good joke.

Y/n :" They had probably brought us here in order to make us to focus on the mission ahead, but also at the surroundings, friends or foes around us. ", he said to them.

Anthony :" I can't understand it, if that's what they wanted us to learn, why did they brought us here for then? ", he asked them politely, having Rancor to sigh.

Rancor : "Isn't it obvious? They also brought us here because we have to also help professor Oobleck to collect samples from the tree syrup and thus we're here in the Forever Fall Forest.", he groaned .

Y/n : '*In his mind* Honestly, sometimes I think that Rancor and Weiss have more things in common than they think', he thought to himself sighing.

Ruby :" I think that we should go and find the others, except if someone fancies being scolded once we get back to Beacon after everything is over.", she said to them and as much as someone of them didn't want to oblige - Anthony and Yang to be more specific about it -, they had to go since they were assigning students into pairs and they didn't want to be left out.

(A/n : Small time skip to after the pairs were assigned since I had to see RWBY in quite a while 😭😭. As for the main pairs for this story they are :
-Y/n with Ruby
-Anthony with Yang and Weiss
-Rancor with Blake

After the pairs were made, Goodwitch had given them the short description of the mission which basically was as follows.

Goodwitch : "* fixes the position of her glasses * You're about to get into the Forever Fall Forest and manage to retrieve as much sap as you possibly can. Don't worry about it, you'll be supplied with necessary equipment for its retrieval such as jars and tools needed in order to harvest the sap from the trees. The pair of students that's going to fill the most jars with sap they'll get extra points once the semester is over. Finally, if you see any Grimm activity try your best to strive away as much as possible. You'll be monitored during the entire process, so every bad habit you do will be penalized accordingly after we return to Beacon.", she said to them sternly and after she had gotten nods of approval from every student that was there, she had allowed them to go ahead.

(A/n : With Y/n and Ruby)

Ruby :" Let's get on finding ourselves some sap ", she said to him in a slightly cheerful manner, but there was something, a feeling in the former Pharaoh's mind that was quite unsettling like a storm or an event that you can see it slowly forming and approaching ever so close every single passing second, but you can't stop it from happening. He was so focused on it that he couldn't hear Ruby talking to him,not until Ruby had waved her hands in front of his face.

Ruby : " Y/nnnnn? Remnant calls Y/n, are you receiving?", she asked him politely about it, having the latter to blink, getting snapped back into reality.

Y/n : " * looks at her * What happened?", he asked her politely about it, one of his eyebrows arched in confusion.

Ruby :" *sighs softly * Nothing, well... except for the fact that you seemed to be a bit out of it, basically staring into nothingness.", she said to him.

Y/n :" Yeah, I'm sorry about that, it's just that I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen and I won't be able to stop it.",he explained to her calmly.

Ruby :" Like what? ", she inquired, tilting her head slightly to the side.

Y/n : " I don't know what, but it would be a good thing to watch out for anything since I can't be sertain about it.", he said to her calmly, having Ruby to nod, despite giving him a weird look.

Ruby : "Okaaaaay....?", she said to him, although in slight hesitancy and then they had seen that Anthony had passed by them, alongside Weiss and Yang, each one of them holding about five big jars, filled to the brim with sap mind you, making Ruby's eyes to widen.

Anthony :" Hey guys! It's me Goku!!"

Y/n|Ruby|Yang|Weiss : "* insert the weird anime poker face with the comically huge sweat bead* *in unison * Whaaa?"

Author-Sama : "CUT!!!!! Once again!!!"

(A/n : Take two)

Anthony : "Hey guys!", he greeted them.

Ruby : " Hey Anthony, *looks at the jars and her eyes widened * Howdidyoumanagetofindsomuch... !!!?", she said to them and had basically blurted the last part of her words like a kid that had a little too much sugar before falling asleep to the point that Y/n had to close Ruby's mouth since she couldn't help but be loud.

Weiss :" * sighs * Couldn't you do it earlier? I was sure that the entire forest had heard her ", she said to him, partly asking and having the younger girl to pout slightly once Y/n had let her go.

Y/n : "As surprising as it might seem, I might have to agree more with Ruby than you Weiss. *sees that Weiss was about to start an argument * Not on the fact that Ruby should be calmer, but mainly on how did you manage to find so much sap?", he asked him politely about it, having the teen to chuckle nervously.

Anthony :" Well.... it might be because of the fact that I might have used a part of my Semblance in order to do as such. ", he said to him with a nervous chuckle.

Y/n :" * sighs * Please tell me that you didn't just grew up and decimated half of the forest", he said to him with a deadpan face.

(A/n : Just like that, but replace :

-Meliodas with Y/n and
-The inn with the Forever Fall Forest)

Anthony : " * his eyes widened * N-No I didn't, on my word. I have used the sense amp of my Semblance. ", he said to him. (A/n : In case some of you have forgotten about it, Y/n and Anthony have practically similar Semblances, although with minor differences in strength and some abilities)

Ruby :" Wait so you were able to smell the sap whilst it still was in the tree?", she asked him puzzled. Although it was a strange thing, it wasn't out of the realm of possibility since Y/n was able to hear Nora's teases towards both her and Y/n...

Wait a second.

Ruby :" * looks at Y/n * Can you do it too?", she asked him politely and seeing that Y/n was hesitant about answering her question, it was time for her to use her most underestimated weapon.

Y/n : "I.... *sighs seeing that Ruby was using the puppy eyes strategy * I can do it too, but it'll have to wait for a bit.", he said to her and had went off to somewhere.

Yang : "Where is he going at?", she asked them in frustration.

Anthony : " * chuckles * As funny as it seems, it's not the first time that I've seen Y/n going somewhere without giving a proper explanation.", he said to them.

Yang : "What do you mean?", she asked him politely as she, along with her sister and Weiss had turned to face him.

Anthony : "Back when we were at Earth with our old friends, Y/n was something like a leader to us for two main reasons. One of which was that he was undoubtedly the more tactic from us, although he did some reckless things that he still has regrets about to this day and secondly it was because of his unnatural precognition.", he explained to them as two out of the three girls that were with him.

Ruby :" What does precognition mean? ", she asked him politely, quite puzzled about it.

Anthony :" * chuckles slightly * It's mainly due to Y/n's experience since he used to be a Pharaoh many millennia ago, he has developed a form of precognitive thought process. Think about it like having a built in mental alarm in your mind that warns you about whenever something bad is about to happen or is happening somewhere else and before you ask about it, no Weiss, it's not a Semblance effect, it's basically the many years of experience that someone had in the past imprinted into their mentality. ", he said to them, having the white haired heiress to groan slightly at the teen's words.

Y/n on the other hand had arrived at the place where his feelings were guiding him towards, hearing for any possible sound. Once he had heard some voices from a nearby place he had sneaked as stealthily as possible towards the place and he had seen the two people he wasn't expecting together. Cardin and Jaune.

Cardin : "Get this jar of sap and throw this either on Pyrrha or Y/n", he said to him, trying to force the teen to take the jar and do as he said to him.

Jaune : "I'm not going to!!", he yelled towards him, throwing the jar at the brunette who had managed to dodge it and unfortunately for the both of them it hit an Ursa Major and it didn't look happy about it.

The Grimm on the other hand had growled loudly and charged at them. Surprisingly enough, the one of the two teens who had moved forwards was Jaune, raising his shield to block the oncoming attack. He had managed to block it, but due to the force of the impact behind the Ursa's blow had made him to recoil and step backwards, getting knocked down onto the ground with his shield away from his hand.

He was going to move in order to take it, but the Ursa had went in for another attack aimed at the brunette and due to the fact that Cardin was being to much of a coward in order to attack, he had done the only thing he could. He closed his eyes, hoping that this was going to be the hit to end him.

Cardin : ' *In his mind* So this is how it is huh? This is how it's going to end. It's a shame, a same that instead of using my time in order to amend for every bad thing that I've done, I've managed to only push myself closer to the end. Heck I didn't even manage to ask for the bunny girl, Velvet, also from Y/n and Ruby, Jaune and Pyrrha to forgive me.',he thought to himself, tears of regret falling freely from his closed eyes, if only he had more time.

If only he had another chance.

It appears that Cardin's prayers were actually answered as he had only felt the incoming blow stopping somewhere, but the force of it had knocked him down onto the ground, making him to open his tearful eyes, tensing badly seeing who was the one who saved him. The one who saved him wasn't Jaune as he had hoped, but Y/n, who had looked behind his shoulder towards him with dark red eyes.

Y/n : " * looks at Jaune and Cardin * Take your shield and retreat Jaune, I'm taking it from here, as for you Cardin I still have something to tell you.", he said to them as he proceeded to basically one shot the Ursa Major. He had then turned around and looked towards Cardin, looking at him with his bright red eyes, the look on his face was the same scowl that a disappointed parent would have towards their undisciplined children, seeing that they're not stopping any bad habits.

Y/n : "Are you out of your mind!!? Didn't I and the professors gave you enough punishments to stop from misbehaving like that!!? Think Cardin!! The war that your parents and everyone else is in against the Grimm will soon be yours once you finish your training on Beacon!! There's no point in being an arrogant fool. ", he said to him, having the latter to growl lowly as he stood up.

Cardin :" Who are you and you think that you're going to be the one to give me orders? Go back to your all too precious fantasy of being the one to order others and leave. Me. Alone.", he said to him, throwing a punch towards Y/n, having the latter to catch the brunette's fist.

Y/n :" I'm not living in a fantasy as you are implying, nor I'm ordering you. I'm only advising you. You should learn to recognize the difference between an order and an advice Winchester.", he said to him sternly.

Cardin : " You're not one to give me advices. The only one who had ever given me an advice... *his voice cracks* w-was my father. ", he said to the tri colored teen and his eyes had widened in surprise. This was not something that he would ever admit to anyone openly. [A/n : I'm changing a bit Cardin's Backstory so that it fits more and can potentially make his redemption in this story all the more better (I really don't have it in me to kill a character especially in this types of stories 😅😭)]

Y/n's eyes had widened slightly in surprise at Cardin's words, understanding really well the meaning behind the word was by that voice crack alone. He had lost his father, the Pharaoh Aknamkanon potentially at an even younger age than Cardin probably was.

Y/n : "I know how you feel?", he said to him with a sigh, losing his scowl as it turned into a frown.

Cardin : "Oh really now? I'm pretty sure that you got everything in a golden platter in your life so there's no need to fake it out. I don't want your pity", he growled.

Y/n : "I might have had everything in a platter as you said, but both you and I have one thing in common.",he said to him, blocking Cardin's other punch.

Cardin : "Really now!? A-And what's the thing that we have in common", he said to him.

Y/n : "*grits his teeth * I had lost my father as well", he said to him, making Cardin's eyes to widen.

Y/n : " * chuckles dryly * I can understand that by your look alone you didn't expect that. No matter the place, the country or even the planet there are some things that you can't easily hide from others who have a similar past with you.", he said to him.

Cardin :" Let go of me! ", he said to him, trying to move his hands as he tried to suppress his emotions from overflowing.

Y/n :" I know how you feel. I know what it means to live without one parent all too well. Ironically enough the difference between the two of us is that right now you are acting exactly how I would act had I allowed my grief to overcome me.", he said to him, letting go of the teen's hands as he gave him a sad smile.

(Is it just me or whenever I see that sad smile from Tanjiro I'm always about to cry 😭)]

Cardin :" I-I get it, I was a fool for lashing out to everyone like that. I-It's that I don't want everyone to think about me as a weakling, I don't want to be seen as a coward and have others to pity me because I lost my father!!!", he said to him bursting out in tears.

Y/n :" First of all, calm down and think about your actions, think about how your father would feel watching his only child from high above. I know that deep inside you, you looked up to him, trying to be like him.", he said to him calmly, sitting by him.

Cardin :" *sniffles* And what about it? I'm pretty sure that he's hating me for my actions. *sobs* Think about it, I had bullied Jaune, harassed Velvet, heck I even tried to force Jaune to throw the sap jar onto you!!! *grabs his hair* My father had no reason to be proud of me", he said to him solemnly averting his gaze from the ex Pharaoh.

Y/n : " That's what you think about it. Surely he's not proud of your actions since even in the afterlife he's trying to see if his son will finally mature and stop blaming himself. As long as you are willing to change, you can do anything. Starting first of all by being a better leader and friend towards your team. As for the rest, small steps can be all you'll ever need in your life trying to show them how much you changed. * puts his hand on Cardin's shoulder * I know that most of them won't trust you right away, but try being patient and avoid any urge to go back to your old habits. ", he said to him calmly.

Cardin :" I-I see, *sighs* T-Thank you for the advice Y/n, it really means a lot to me.", he said to him, actually honest for once, having Y/n to smile.

Y/n :" No problem Cardin ", he said to him with a small smile.
