Ryan's POV

Me : "Goodnight Luke"

Luke : Goodnight brother "

My eyes were widened in surprise after what he said.

Me :" *thinking :He actually sees me as an older brother, despite the fact that in the beginning he was terrified of me* " I thought to myself and smiled softly to him, as I finally leave my eyes to close and let my tiredness consume me into a peaceful sleep.

(A/n : The time skip to the middle of the night comes by a chibi Luke snuggling near a sleeping chibi Ryan)

(A/n:In Ryan's dream)

Luke: "Bro where are you?"

Me : "No *sniffles *, don't you dare, take him away!! "

I shouted as I see a lot of dark disorted hands going towards Luke, with the purpose of hurting him. I try to get closer to him to stop them, but I can't move a muscle.

Me : *starts to cry *No, no, no *his tearful hazel colored eyes turn into a bright Teal color, as his hair turn from their original dirty blond color to white with silver highlights as he emits a massive amount of light * NOOOOOOO!!!!! "

Author's POV

(A/n:In Ryan's room)

Ryan opens his eyes and finds that he was bathed in cold sweat as he was taking a shaky breath after a shaky breath trying to calm himself down.

Ryan :" *thinking :Calm yourself down it was only a nightmare,* he looks at the pillow, where Luke is sleeping, to find him awake *only a nightmare *"

Luke : "Ryan, what's wrong?"

Ryan : I just can't sleep, I had another nightmare "

Luke's POV

When I heard him say that I saw that his eyes where full of concern when he was looking at me.

Ryan :" You might not want to believe what I am about to say, but this nightmare was involving you "

How did he have a nightmare about me. It's as I thought he really cares about me. I thought to myself as I ask him

Me : Ryan? "

Ryan :" Yes Luke? "

Me :" Can I ask you something?"

Ryan : " *smiles warmly * Sure thing, go ahead"

Me : " D-do you t-think of m-me as a p-pet?", I asked him as I didn't know why he is so cautious around me.

Ryan : "*His eyebrows are raised up and his eyes are filled with consern *No of course not, why do you think that?"

Me : " I m-mean I *sobs *, I can literally fit in the palm of your hand", he said as he started to cry and he did not see Ryan gently scooping him up and cradling him close to his chest as a form of hug.

Ryan : "*smiles as he sees that Luke tries to hug him, by grasping a part of his white t-shirt in his small hands *I would never in my life think of you like a pet, because I am actually thinking of you as a little sibling mostly a brother and if you would like *he rises Luke up until he is at the same height as his eyes earning a small yelp from the little borrower *, I could actually try to persuade my parents to adopt you. "

Luke :" Would you really do this for me? *he looks at Ryan and sees him nodding while he is smiling at him *. Why do you think that I deserve something like that for me? "

Ryan :" Because I want to show you that there always is someone who cares about you and I actually heard that you called out to me goodnight brother, before you fell asleep "

Me : "*Hugs the tip of Ryan's nose, while crying happily *Thank you so much!!! "

Ryan : " *smiles warmly *No problem little brother "

Ryan's POV

Luke : Ryan, can I sleep with you?"

Me : " Of course", I truthfully answer to him and I see him giggling like a 3 year old as l lean my head on my pillow and see him snuggle at the crook of my neck.

Luke : "*stops laughing *Goodnight brother"

Me : "* I smiles softly at him, while I put my hand protectively over him* Goodnight little bro", I whispered to him, after that I see that my hand is glowing an emerald green light That never happened to me before, how curious indeed. I think to myself as I fall asleep.

(A/n:Time skip to the morning)

(A/n: Begin this one)

I wake up first and I see that Luke is still sleeping, not to much of an early bird I see I say to myself and I hear him snoring like a little baby.

I see outside of the window that the sun hasn't risen up yet Well, time to meditate as I wait for the others to awake I say to myself as I sit with my legs criss-cross on the wooden floor in the perfect position and get a meditation stance,as I close my eyes.

Luke's POV

I start to slightly shift into my sleep and I see that for some reason the pillow is warm. I opened my eyes to see that Ryan had left the bed and as I look around for him, I see that he is floating slightly above the ground with his legs criss-cross, his fingers are forming an oval shape and his eyes are closed calmly.

(A/n: Just like this, but replace Jiren with Ryan, the red aura with Ryan's inner blue one and the dark space with Ryan's bedroom)

He looks so calm, almost entirely peaceful if he wasn't like over twenty times my size, I chuckle at my thoughts and continue to look at him, the person that treats me like an equal, almost like a brother despite the fact that I am a faunus and he is a human.

I think as I started to slip of the pillow and landing on my feet, on the bed's mattress. I thought that I would feel a tremendous amount of pain on my leg because it was broken, but I didn't feel nothing That's weird I can stand up again despite the fact that my leg was broken like a good amount of time before, wait a minute DID HE ACTUALLY HEALED Me I thought to myself as I made a mental note to say thank you to him for healing me.

I actually gasp from the shock as I see him stopping to levitate and standing up, Holy cats, I am never going to get used to his size am I? I asked rhetorically myself, but my curiosity about him started to hit its peak as I see that when he opened his eyes for a moment they were Teal and his hair where white with silver highlights. He is probably not as human as he looks, is he?.

Ryan POV

(A/n: Meditation flashback)

As I begun to meditate I actually saw that I was in a different place, more like a different point of time to be honest and I saw dad asking something to uncle Qrow and then he shouted to him to get out.

Qrow : "Tai I am sorry, she could not make it back"

Taiyang : " Your sorry won't bring her back Qrow, I trusted you to protect Summer but you did not do it."

Qrow : "Tai as I said before I am sorry"

Tai : " Qrow just leave me alone"

Qrow : "I am sorry ok"

Tai : " I SAID LEAVE. ME. ALONE GOD DAMN IT!!!"

He shouted to uncle and as he left and closed the door, I saw that dad begun to cry.

Tai : " I am sorry *sobs* Summer *sobs* I couldn't save you"

(A/n: End of the meditation flashback)

I found a way to bring her back I say to myself as I stand up and deactivate my Semblance and I see that Luke has awaken and he is trembling, as I take a step closer to him and kneel by the bedside, in order to be at eye level with him I say.

Me: "You are still afraid of me aren't you?" I ask him rhetorically as I see him nodding at me. We are going to have a long day in front of us, I said to myself as I sighed.

Me:" Are you hungry right now? " I ask him wanting to change the mood and I see him nodding sheepishly.

Me : "Well,*smiles* I will take that one as a yes"

(A/n:Stop the music)

Luke's POV

(A/n: Start the music)

He said to me as I expected him to pick me up from the bed like he did before, but I was wrong when I saw him having his hand palm up for me on the bed. He is seeing that I hesitate a lot and he says to me.

Ryan : " What are you waiting for a formal invitation. Get in."

He said to me with a silly voice as I begun to laugh and finally stepped on his palm as he brought his hand with me close to his chest cupping it up so I don't fall.

We get close to the stairs as I see him rising his hand in front of his face to ask me.

Ryan : "*whispers* Luke do you mind if I put you in my shirt pocket, because I don't want anyone to see you right now", I nod to him as I see that he took his hand off his face and by using his left one he picked me up by the waist using only his thumb and his pointer finger as he lowered me into his pocket.

Ryan POV

After putting Luke in my pocket I went downstairs to the kitchen and made a simple toast with ham and cheese. Also I filled up a glass of milk and I put a straw in it what did you thought that I could only think about myself when I eat and not about Luke. I say to myself unsure about who I am speaking to.

I go back to my bedroom and I put the glass of milk on top of the the nightstand and the plate with the ham - cheese toast on the center of the bed, I get Luke out of my pocket to find out that he is sleeping again on my open right palm.

Me : " *starts to gently poke Luke on his sides * Hey, wakey, wakey sleepy head breakfast is ready"

Luke : "Five more minutes bro", he says as he curls up into a ball.

OK, I didn't want to do this but you forced me to. I say to myself as I begin to use the most abusive form of physical torture, the tickling.

I start to tickle him gently, without putting any force at all at his sides and he begins to laugh uncontrollably, which to be honest has put an ever playful smirk on my face as I chuckle at him I am such a good bigger (no pun intention) brother, am I?.

Luke : "*tries to speak while he is still laughing and trying to push without any effort Ryan's massive fingers * OK, OK, I am awake *laughs* please stop it"

Me : "OK I will stop now, because you will have to eat right now."

I said to him as I lower my right hand in order for him to hop on the bed.

Me : "*chuckles softly at Luke's awe about seeing the size of the toast* Eat until you are full and I will eat what remains of it. Not that you will eat a lot or anything " I mumble the last part to me.

Luke : " *pouts* I heard that you know!!!"

Me : "*chuckles whilst ruffling Luke's hair with his finger*Yeah, yeah whatever shorty "

As I said to him that he proceeded to rip a small piece of the toast and started nibbling on it, in the mean time I was searching about something in my scroll.

I stopped looking at my scroll as I see him starting to poke me on my ankle, so I look at him smirking and say to him.

Me : "What happened pup didn't you said that you were able to eat the whole toast"(A/n:I forgot to mention that in the five year timeskip Taiyang told to Ryan what faunus are)

Luke : " I could eat it all if I wanted to ya know, but I didn't wanted you to have to go down to make another one"

Me : " *he rises a cocky right eyebrow up, while he is still smirking * Luke I was saying the truth about my statement before, because there is absolutely no way that you could fit the whole toast inside you", I bluntly say to him as I poke him with my finger at his belly.

Luke's POV

Me : "OK then as I said now it's your time to eat"

Ryan : " *his stomach begins to rumble * Well you aren't wrong with that", he said to me as he started to eat the rest of the toast, having a pleasant hum to leave his mouth after every bite. He must really like having a toast for breakfast doesn't he I thought to myself trying not to look at him when he was eating, because it's actually terrifying from my point of view

When he finished eating he put the plate on the nightstand and he took a glass from it.

Ryan : " Do you want any milk or not?"

Me : " *smiles* I would like to"

I said to him as he leaned backwards and rested against the headboard of the bed and he gently scooped me up and placed me on his chest

Ryan : "Well, *points the straw at Luke * help yourself"

He said to me as I grabbed a hold of the straw with both of my hands and take some sips of the milk.

Me : "OK now I am full the rest is yours", I said to him smiling.

Ryan : *shrugs * OK then "

He said and with a few gulps the rest of the milk is finished.

Ryan's POV

Afterwards I decided to take the empty glass and plate down to the kitchen. So I told to Luke that he has to be in my t-shirt pocket for that one, yet again. We left my room and as I was going downstairs to the kitchen, I felt a small poking on the left side of my chest.

Luke :" Ryan? "

Me :" *stops and looks down to to Luke * Yea "

Luke :" How many people are in your family? "

Me : "Are you nervous Luke?" I ask him and I see him nodding nervously.

Ryan : " Well, we are 5 members at our family, three of them are my father, my two sisters. *smiles *The other two you probably know them already, because they are you and me. Also don't be afraid they all are really nice and I promise you that they won't hurt you."

I said to him and I went down to meet the others

Me :" Morning everyone"

Taiyang/Ruby/Yang : "Morning son/big bro"

Me : "I want everyone of you to meet someone and please be gentle with him"

Taiyang/ Ruby / Yang : "Oooookayyy", they said to me and their looks turned to confusion as I started to speak to my shirt pocket.

Me : " It's OK Luke you can come out now", I say to him in a calm manner.

Luke : "*Pokes out of Ryan's t-shirt pocket * H-hi"

(A/n: Stop the music)

Luke's POV

(A/n: Start this music)

As soon as I said hi to them I see that one of the two girls is coming straight towards me running and I start to whimper scared.

Ryan : "*Puts his right hand protectively in front of Luke * Hey, hey, hey slow down Ruby he might be scared of you, so calm down".

Ruby : " But he is so cute and can I pick him up please?"

Ryan : " At first allow him to open up to you and if you want to pick him up you should firstly ask him if he is OK with that. Do you understand me Ruby."

Ruby : "OK Ryan *looks down at Luke and smiles at him *. Luke, can I pick up you up? "

Me : "I w-would not m-mind that, but p-please be g-gentle with me"

Ryan : "*Looks down at Luke surprised * Are you sure about it? "

Me : "I-I'm sure about it"

Ryan's POV

After he said that I gently scooped him out of my pocket and placed him at my sister's palm. When she got him at her palm we both see that he started to shake like a little leaf in the wind and I see that Ruby is holding him close to her chest, hugging him. As I saw that she hugged him and after a while he had fallen asleep in her embrace I couldn't help but let an aww escape from my mouth.

As we both silently laughed at my aww, I saw that my father motioned me to go to him.

Taiyang : "So that's why you wouldn't want to come out of your room, *hugs Ryan * I am proud of you my son"

Me : "Thank you dad, but that's not the only thing I wanted to say to you", I say to him as he looks at me confused.

Taiyang : "What do you mean by that?"

Me : "*whispers * The first thing is that I wanted to ask you about, if we can adopt Luke as a younger brother"

Taiyang : " *whispers * Why not, *sees that Ryan looks at him surprised * I adopted Ruby after her mother's death and also you sortly afterwards, who decided that I am not going to do this again"

Me : "*Smiles and hugs his dad* Thank you so much dad, you don't know how much does that mean to me*thinking :I didn't thought that he wouldn't need any persuasion* "

After that we go into the living room to find that Luke was playing calmly with Yang and Ruby. You don't sease to amaze me little bro I said to myself and smiled proudly at them.

Taiyang : *clears his throat *Excuse me all of you, we have some important news for Luke. "

Luke : " *looks up to Taiyang worried* Y-yes Mr. T-Taiyang "

Taiyang : *kneels to be at eye level with Luke and smiles softly at him*No need for unnecessary formalities or fear Luke Xiao Long."

Yang : "Whaa? Wait a minute, his surname is Xiao Long, since when? "

Taiyang : "His surname is Xiao Long since today, because we are adopting him"

Me : " *Smiles widely at Luke's surprise as he kneels towards Luke * It's not a dream Luke, we really are brothers now"

Luke : "*cries happily * THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!", he said to me as he proceeded to hug tightly my fingers as I lift him up to my chest to hug him.

Me : " This is not the only thing I wanted to tell you, *they all turn to face him *, I think that I've found a way to bring back Ruby's mom"

A/n: And cliffhanger, as some of you might have already noticed from the Explanation Time of the previous chapter, Ruby's mother Summer Rose is the person who is going to reappear in this story. But this is mostly for the next chapter so I am going to post the Explanation Time for this chapter, so until we meet again happy reading my fellow Wattpaders.
