On an airship going to beacon as Ruby stood there with a smile on her face... nerves one at that, as a blonde hair girl hugs her as she said, "Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!"
"Please stop." Ruby complained as she was being hugged by Yang which made her very nervous to be here.
"But I'm so proud of you!" Yang called as she jumped around a bit.
"Really, sis, it was nothing." Ruby said as she was modest all she did was the right thing. Plus she was sad that Noctis wasn't offered a chance to attend Beacon.
"What do you mean?! It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knees." Yang said trying to get her sister to stop moping around.
"I don't want to be the 'bee's knees,' ok?! I don't wanna be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees." Ruby said as Yang sighed.
"What's with you aren't you excited?!" Yang asked as her sister was going to Beacon she should be more happy.
"Of course I'm excited I just... I got moved ahead 2 years. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything." Ruby says as puts her head down.
"But you are special!" Her sister says as she puts her arm around her younger sister. "So, when are you gonna finish telling me about this mysterious boy that helped you?"
Ruby blushed at the thoughts of a certain gold-eyed bluenette. Ever since she told Yang last night about what happened, her sister was surprised but amazed to hear a boy actually helped her trying to stop Roman and his goons. She only mentioned the boy's name and talked a little about his weapons, but she never said who he really is before she decided to call it a night since she got tired from the robbery. The last thing she recalled was when Ky kissed her hand before he and his friends left when they bailed him out. It's not everyday a boy, or prince in his case, would kiss her hand. To her, it felt like she was in a romantic fairytale.
"SIs?" Yang called out, waving her hand in Ruby's face. "You okay? You look a little red."
Ruby snapped out of her thoughts and she shook her head. "O-Oh, sorry." she apologized in a stutter as she chuckled sheepishly.
Yang smirked as she placed her hands on her hips. "Thinking about your boyfriend at the robbery?"
Ruby widened her eyes and blushed harder, her cheeks turning more red than her cloak. She never would've thought Yang guessed the boy is her crush. "W-What?! No, he's not my boyfriend! I only just met him! We don't have anything happening between us. Not even since he kissed my hand." she denied out of embarrassment, only to cover her mouth with her hands when she realized the last thing she accidentally slipped out.
"OH MY GOSH! My baby sister finally has her first crush!" Yang cooed as she swung Ruby back and forth in her arms, "I'm so happy! I never thought you'd ever be interested in boys!"
"Gggck!" the crimsonette girl cried out in pain, struggling to break free, "Yang! Please... let go... you're crushing... me..."
"Oh sorry," the blondie let go of her sister, who looked dazed and ready to keel over. She gave her an apologetic look as Ruby straighten herself out and she pouted.
Now that Ruby has recovered, Yang continued with the subject by placing her hands on her arms and asked the important questions, "So Ruby... is he cute? What's he like? What's his name? Does he like puns? Do you plan on asking him out?"
"Gck! Yang," Ruby knocked her sister's grasp on her and started to punch lightly, and cutely, in rapid succession when her sister embarrassed her with those answers. "It's not like that! I arleady told you, he just helped me out and I never got to thank him! Or know if he's OK. I'm just worried about him that's all."
"I see," Yang nodded sage-like, "But is he cute?"
Ruby growled at her and looked away with a slight blush, "Well... I did get a pretty good look at him. So I guess he was cute."
The blonde beauty grinned as she wrapped her arm over Ruby's head, "Atta girl! There's hope for you yet! Now then after we get sorted into Beacon let's go hunting for your mystery crush. I bet we can find him easily, even if you don't know much about him."
"I'm not crushing on him!" Ruby pouted with an adorable blush. She sighed as she looked away sadly, "I don't even know where to start. I already told you about his name, his blue hair, his golden eyes and a little bit about his swords. That's just it."
"At least you gave me some intel on the guy last night back home." the older girl smiled with her fingers rubbing her chin. "So his name's Kyon, right?"
"Um... yeah. Kyon Virtus Caelum." Ruby responded to her. "Have you heard of him?"
"Wait, you mean THE Prince Kyon?!"
"U-um..." Ruby stuttered, thinking of a way to change the topic, but Yang wouldn't stop.
"He was the guy who helped you out last night and you wouldn't stop talking about?!"
With a sigh, Ruby came forward, "Yeah..."
"Wow." Yang breathed out. "The Prince of Lucis? Never thought he would be the person you were talking about."
Ruby started to speak again, only to pause with widen eyes when she looked to the side.
Yang looked at her sister, confused and a little bit concerned by her sudden change of behavior. "Rubes? Something wrong, little Sis?" she asked.
She suddenly gasped, which took Yang by surprise. "It's him! He's right over there! I can't believe he's here on this airship!""
"What!?" Yang blinked and looked toward the direction Ruby was staring at. Sure enough, there was the royal blue spiky-haired Lucian prince standing by in his blue and black jackets. He was looking out the window, tapping his foot with a content look on his face.
Yang let out a low purr. Ruby was right... he was cute. Very cute. Of course, he's not there alone.
The sisters saw the quartet of teenagers standing with him. They guessed the teens were his companions, including one of them who had a fox tail and another with cat ears on their head. This made them figure out they're Faunus. Although, Yang's attention was more focused on the boy with the fox tail. She had never seen him before. His handsome face made her let out an impressed whistle.
"Mama likes~" She uttered under her breath before looking at Ruby. "Well. What are you waiting for little sis? Why don't you say hi to him? At least to make up for that kiss on the hand?"
Ruby blushed as red as my hood and recounted "W-wha! No! It's nothing like that! It's just... I feel like I'm not good enough to talk to him. I mean, he's Royal and I'm not..."
Yang wasn't having none of that. "Don't worry Ruby, let me help you out!" Yang gripped her hand as she dragged her along with her, walking towards Kyon and his friends.
"Wait! What're you doing?! Nonononono!" Ruby tried to stop her, but with no successs.

Kyon and his friends found themselves aboard an airship to Beacon. They kept to themselves for most of the flight, even as other new students came aboard and began mingling, but they could all definitely feel the buzz of excitement that permeated the air around them.
"Sure seems like everyone's all buddy-buddy with each other," Aptus commented said as he noticed that a few people were greeting others like they were old friends, and figured that those folks knew each other from another school or were old classmates reuniting after whatever counted as summer break here.
"Looks like it." Eliza nodded in agreement, watching all the new students interact with one another.
"There's so many." Silica said as her feline ears twitched slightly. "I guess everyone's aimning to be a Huntsman or Huntresses nowadays."
"Depending on their reasons," Seig spoke up as he leaned against the window, arms folded.
"What do you mean?"
"In other words, some people are just in it for the money and the fame, but there's even more that are just looking to grow stronger."
"While we on the other hand, are to represent Lucis and keep his 'Royal Doofus' out of more trouble." Eliza teased, gesturing over to Kyon, who quiet the whole time.
"Ky? Is something wrong?" Silica called out to the boy.
"..."
"Kyon! Ky!" Said Aptus as he snapped his fingers in front of his best friend's face, causing him to snap out of it. "Hey, what's going on?"
"Huh? What?" The blunette perked up, looking around. "What's up?"
"Dude, you were spacing out." Aptus said.
"Oh, I was just lost in thought." Ky replied, scratching his head.
"Is it about Beacon?" Silica asked him. "Like what's it going to be like?"
"I believe the prince had something, or someone else, on his mind guys." Sieg said, looking over at the group. Kyon could swear he seen an evil gleam in Siege's eye. The cheeky bastard. "Perhaps something to do with the girl that was with you at the station."
"Oh yeah! You seemed to be getting acquainted with her," Aptus said with a foxy grin.
Kyon narrowed his eyes at the fox, in both personality and traits. "First off." He started warningly "It wasn't like that. We were trying to stop Roman from robbingthe place. Secondly, she was saying she wanted to be a Huntresses-" Before he could continue Eliza had piped up, looking up from his book to see the show.
"Interacting. So, you were hoping to see her again, is that it?" She said with a teasing smirk.
Kyon himself had an idea of what his face looked like and merely looked away from them before they started laughing at his embarrassed expression.
"Don't you have weapons to forge?"
"Don't you have a girl to see?"
The blunette knew he couldn't win. Whenever it came to the young Huntress-in-training he could never, for the life of him, get back at his friends for the teasing that would ensue from the mere mention of her.
However, Aptus' face suddenly went wide eyed as he looked over Kyon's shoulder. Before Kyon could turn around to look at what had Aptus gawking, he felt something tap on his shoulder.
Kyon turned and was confronted with the visage of a well endowed blonde whose entire air screamed confidence. What she wore was pretty much eye-candy to say the least. A tan jacket showing off her midriff, an orange scarf wrapped around her neck, and though it didn't look like it a low-cut yellow crop top with an emblem on the left side. (Not a bra or swimsuit, mind you.) A dark brown belt, black mini-shorts, and brown knee-high boots with over-the-knee orange socks to top off her outfit. She also wore black fingerless gloves and she had golden gauntlets currently equipped on her forearms. She was attractive and she had no disillusion about.
"Hellooooo~" Yang greeted them with a wave and a smile. "I believe you and my sister met last night." She then pulled Ruby to her side as the young girl was seen struggling.
Kyon noticed the girl as his eyes widened slightly. "Ruby?"
Ruby paused as she looked over at the Prince, before giving him a sheepish wave. "Uhh... hey."
"So this is the 'Ruby' you mentioned?" Eliza said with a smirk and arms crossed, as she looked over at Kyon.
"I have no idea what you're taking about Eliza!" Kyon yelled back at him with arms crossed.
"Uh huh," Eliza said and placed one leg over the other with the same smirk.
"Hehe. Eliza, huh? It's nice to meet you guys. I'm Yang! Ruby's older sister! And I take you guys are all friends?"
"Indeed. Seig Orion, it's pleasure." Seig responded, before he noticed the facial structures of Yang and Ruby. There was a physical difference in their faces. Even if there was a hint of resemblance between the sisters if one looks at them close enough, neither of them looked physically similar to each other. "Pardon me for asking, are you two foster sisters or half-sisters?" he asked curiously in a polite manner.
Yang seemed somewhat surprised by his inquired question, "Um...yeah. We're half-sisters. I was kinda expecting you to say we don't look nothing like sisters."
"There is more to being a family than blood relations, whether they bear physical resemblances or they do not. It seems that I notice a rather vague resemblance between the two of you."
"Anywho," Aptus slipped around Kyon and stood in front of Yang. "Name's Aptus Raizer. Got it memorized, beautiful?"
Yang leaned and placed a hand on her hip. She looked Aptus up and down and gave a small hum of contemplation before she said, "You know, I'm used to getting hit on. I've been called cute, sweetheart, and hot. But I think this is the first time a guy has used 'beautiful'. Points in your favor, but I'm gonna have to deduct some points for hitting on me in the first place. So, plus one point for you, Foxy."
Aptus laughed and said, "Fair enough, I'll take one point. Hear that, guys? Still one point ahead."
"Good for you Ap. You went from zero to one. Only took you eighteen years," Eliza joked, which got Aptus to stick out his tongue at her.
Silica giggled at this before introducing herself. "Hi. I'm Silica Narbeth. Nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you guys too." Ruby smiled with a wave of her hand. She flinched when she saw Aptus leaning his head into her. He looked at her up and down. "What?" she asked.
Aptus kept on eyeing her for a minute, then he made a smirk with crossed arms. "Well, well, well. I never knew Ky's lady friend would be as cute as a little ladybug."
The crimsonette blushed harder than her cape as the other girls burst out laughing. Sieg chuckled at the pun Aptus made. As for Kyon, his reaction was the same as Ruby's, except his cheeks were blushing a little less lighter than hers.
"Hahaha! That was so clever, Ap!" Eliza said between her hard laughs.
"Hahahahaha, oh man! Why haven't I thought of that one!? I like him already!" Yang added while laughing before pointing at Aptus, who grinned at her in response.
"Dude, knock it off!" Kyon scolded with a glare. He shoved the amused fox Faunus to the side.
"Sorry, man. I just wanna see if this girl is the one you were trying to impress during the robbery last night." Aptus laughed as he pointed his thumbs at a now-bashful Ruby.
"I wasn't trying to impress anyone!" The Prince protested, waving his arms rapidly and comedically in deep annoyance.
"Yeah, keep telling yourself that."
The news story then switched as on the screen was Roman Torchwicks mug shot as Kyon recognized the guy as he came close to catching him. "In recent news last night's robbery was led by nefarious criminal Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities. If you have any information on his whereabouts please contact the Vale Police Department. Back to you, Lisa." Cyril said as Lisa soon reappeared on screen.
"Thank you, Cyril. In other news, this Saturday's Faunus Civil Rights Protest turned dark when members of the White Fang disrupted the ceremony." Lisa said as the image of the protest appeared before being changed with the White Fangs Symbol. "The once Peaceful Organization has lost much support from the Faunus in recent years when Lucis was founded and had openly welcomed Faunus into their boarders and were treated as equals and which further cemented when White Fang had attacked and assassinated know Faunus leader within Lucis's Kingsglaive and Crownsguards as well as several Faunus Political Leaders. This once Peaceful Organization has now-"
During their little commotion the news cast suddenly changed and in its place as the blonde-haired woman that Kyon and Ruby met before showed up as a hologram. She made her appearance, or a recording of her, to broadcast to all of the students on the ship.
"Hello, and welcome to Beacon!" the hologram recording announced to everyone.
Ruby, Yang, and their new friends stopped what they were all doing and looked to see the broadcast. The buxom beauty was the first to speak up, "Who's that?"
"-my name is Glynda Goodwitch-"
"Oh."
"You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace. And as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it." Glynda explained, giving a motivational pep talk to the students. "You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world."
The projection for Glynda disappears leaving everyone to reflect on what she said.
When it ended, the group saw a lot of students rushing to take in the view of the city below as they flew over it to their destination, and when Kyon went to have a look for himself, his four Lucian friends could not help but smile when he lit up with excitement.
"Wow! Look at the view!" Silica said running up to the glass window and pressed her face on it while looking outside. "We are so high up here!"
"Such a remarkable sight, indeed." Sieg agreed as he walked towards the window before he stood beside Silica to see the view better.
"Yeah..." Eliza breathed out in awe.
"LOOK! You can see Signal from here!" Ruby pointed out. "I guess home's not too far away."
"Beacon's our home now." Yang calmingly said with a hand on her shoulder.
"Indeed it is." Sieg accounted as he smiled and pushed his feodora up.
"Not even Lucis is too far away. Guess the royal blood goes with you, pal!" Aptus said as he placed a hand on Kyon's shoulder and smiled down at the sight before him of Vale.
Kyon did the same as the sunlight gleamed in his golden eyes, before responding "Yeah, I guess it does." The sight was cut short as they overheard someone and caught sight of a blonde-haired boy with bright blue eyes beginning to puke as he hurried towards a trash can. He wore a black hoodie with orange inside, silver armour with black trimmings, jeans, black converse shoes, brown gloves, and several brown leather belts with brass buckles.
"Yeesh. Glad I'm not that guy," Aptus muttered to the group.
"Well... I guess the view isn't for everyone," Yang commented out loud.
"Although it makes you wonder why he even came down to have a look outside if he knew he was probably going to get sick," Eliza said.
"Think we should check on him to make sure he's okay," Silica asked, showing a bit of concern.
"I'm sure he'll be fine," Kyon reassured his friend.
"It was a nice moment while it lasted..." Ruby commented, as head lowered down a bit with a smile on her face, though it quickly disappeared at the sight of something at their feet... or rather, on a certain someone's foot.
"I wonder who we are going to meet! Hopefully someone better than Vomit Boy...?" Yang muttered outloud.
Kyon noticed that Ruby was shifting away from her sister with a disgusted look on her face. "Uh, Ruby? You okay?"
"Yang! You've got puke on your shoe!" Ruby pointed down towards Yang's boots and sure enough there was a light splash on the tip of her boots. The girls' reactions were almost instantaneous.
"Gross! Gross! Gross! Gross! Gross! Gross!"
"No! Get away from me! Get away from me! Get away from me!"
"Ew, yucky!" Silica cringed. Even Sieg was not pleased by what he's seeing on Yang's foot.
Eliza dashed toward behind Sieg with a shriek, causing the latter to blink in surprise. "Don't get that anywhere near me or on my dress!" she warned as she poked over Sieg's shoulders and pointed at the foot Yang was waving as an attempt to get the puke off it.
"Ugh! That looks nasty!" Kyon gagged.
"Yeah, no kidding!" Aptus agreed in deep disgust, stepping away from Yang's boot with Kyon to avoid possibly getting splashed by puke.
Little did they know that several seats down from the airship, a mysterious young woman with a black bow one her head looked up from the book she was reading as she watched the wacky scene. Her amber-colored eyes then moved over to Kyon, who was trying his best to avoid the puke.

Shortly after Miss Goodwitch's announcement had finished the airship heading to Beacon had finally arrived to its destination, landing at the drop off point on the cliffside.
However, as soon as the doors open to let all of the arrivals exit out of the ship the blonde boy was the first to run out. Heading over to a trash can and kneeling over it in case he threw up.
"Should've had a barf bag," Eliza sighed as she exited out of the ship. While looking over to at the blond with his head over the trash can looking slightly green, but nothing more.
Sieg saw how the young Knight like Initiate was vomiting as he sighed and pulled out a potion and walked over to him and placed a hand on his back. "Here my friend drink this, it should subside the nausea." Sieg said as the blond hair youth nodded.
"T-thanks." He said trying to keep his stomach down. The young man opened the bottle and drank its contents already feelings it effects working.
Sieg re-joined the group as they continued on with the rest of the students until they came into full view of the campus they would be staying here for a long time to come. Beacon Academy.
Past the long walkway to the school's entrance, along with many lamp posts on the sides, stood the school. Surrounded by lush green fields and bushes, healthy trees, a moat, and a large tower that can be seen in the center. Its white lustrous walls almost glowing with the sunshine raying down on it with the blue clear skies highlighting its shape and grandiose form.
"Wooow..." Ruby and Silica said in unison as they took in the sights of the school with their mouths hanging open, gleam in their eyes, and smiles on the corners of their lips. The Lucian gang were smiling as well; Seig with his arms in his pockets, Aptus with his arms crossed, and Eliza with her hands on her hips as she let out a low whistle.
"The view from Vale's got nothing on this." Yang said with her hands on her hips and a smile on her face as she stood next to Ruby.
Kyon then walked up to the girls with his hands behind his head. "Yeah, but I think Insomnia still tops anything for sites."
Just then, someone had passed by them, and Ruby had no longer gawked at the school but at the weapon she was holding as she converted to a little chibi floating version of herself. Her eyes gleamed as she stared at her weapon. "Oh my god! Sis! She has a collapsible staff! Oh! And she's got a fire sword!" Ruby was floating away to follow the girl with the said weapon, but was stopped by Yang who grabbed her hood and pulled her back as Ruby turned back to her normal self.
"Easy there little sister! They're just weapons."
"Just weapons?" Ruby offendedly asked. "They're an extension of us! They're a part of us! Oh and they're so cool!"
Seeing Ruby talking so much of weapons made Kyon think of how many magazines or posters she would have of weapons. "Guessing you're a weapon expert?" He asked with a raised brow.
Ruby replied with a toothy smile and gleaming eyes. "Guess you can say that. I just really really REALLY love checking out weapons! They're just SO COOL! Gosh! Even your swords are the coolest I've ever seen!"
The blunette chuckled. "Thanks Ruby. I appreciate it, but my swords are not that cool. They're just swords." He said, dismissing the last part modestly.
"Not that cool!?" Ruby offendedly asked once more, "You're a prince and you've got cool weapons like that! I'm so jealous!"
"Guess Little Red is a weapon's nut." Aptus smirked.
"Appears that way." Sieg agreed.
"Well Ruby, why can't you swoon over your own weapon? Aren't you happy with it?" Yang asked, at which Ruby responded by grabbed her mechanical scythe and transformed it into it's scythe form, and held it in her arms like a child's toy.
"Of course I'm happy with Crescent Rose! I just like seeing new ones. It's like meeting new people, but better..."
Yang responded with a happy smile and playful tug of Ruby's hood pulled over her head, "Ruby, come on. Why don't you try and make some new friends of your own? You already made friends with Kyon, so why not make new friends with others."
"Why would I need friends if I've got you and Ky's friends?" She asked as she pulled her hood back down.
"Well..." Yang nervously stood alone, but not before a large group of people suddenly appeared behind her and Yang joined up with them and waved goodbye. "Actuallymyfriendsarerighthere!Gottacatchup!Kay!Seeya!Comeonguys!"
"Wait! Where are you going?!" Ruby asked as Kyon watched Yang and the group of people zoom by Ruby and down the trail. He gave dumbfounded look, before turning and facing his friends, giving them the stink eye - thinking what they were thinking. And they showed nervous looks.
"Um... OkayseeyaKy!We'llcatchupwithyoulater!WaitupYang!" Aptus yelled, where another group of people had appeared behind them and had joined up with them. They zoomed by Ky swiftly and he spun around trying to catch his focus. "Where are you guys going?!"
"See ya, Ky!" Eliza exclaimed. grabbing Silica's arm. "We'll go on ahead and message you on your scroll!"
"Don't wander too far off, Your Highness!" Sieg declared as he shot off with the others who had joined up with Yang's group.
"Aren't we supposed to go to our dorms?! Where are our dorms?! Do we have dorms?!" Asked Ruby as they zoomed down and out of sight. She waved her arms with a slightly panicked yelp and zoomed around the area to look for possible directions. In the process, she bumped into Kyon.
"Ow!" He yelled, losing his balance before stumbling and falling backwards on something rectangle and heavy and then something similar to a dolly or a U-boat.
A bunch of suitcases and materials were set flying out all in direction on the ground.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" a loud angry feminine voice shouted out.
"Huh?" With his eyes closed, Kyon opened his left eye and looked to see the person who shouted at him.
A girl with fair skin and piercing blue eye, with a small vertical scar over her left eye. Long white hair pulled back in an off-center bun tail to the right side of her head. Pinned with a silver icicle-shape tiara. She wore a thin strapless white dress with the hems of the dress stitched to resemble snowflakes. With layers of tulle under the skirt. She wore on top of her blouse was a bell long-sleeved bolero, in white, with a red inside and ruffled collar. Her boots were the same as her entire outfit, white.
"Oh! I'm so sorry!" Ruby started to blurted out as she rushed over to help Kyon up, "That was my fault. I accidentally bumped into my friend and he fell over."
"Yeah, take it easy. I'll help put everything back," Kyon said to calm the situation to defuse the situation, as he got up and patted himself down. However, that didn't sit well with the new girl.
"Help?" the snow white-skin girl seethed as she glared at the two, "Oh, I think you helped enough. Do you have any idea of the damage you could've caused?"
Both teens looked all over to see the scattered luggage around. Ruby looked skeptical, while Kyon looked unamused and disinterested.
"Umm..." the girl in the black combat dress muttered, trying to think of an answer, as she went to grab one of the white hair girl's suitcases.
Kyon gave her a dry reply though, "Geez, I don't know, ripped clothes? Unless you're carrying around something explosive and dangerous, like Dust, for example. Which is not a good idea to have in the same suitcases as your clothes."
Weiss snatched her suitcase from Ruby's hand and began to open it, "This is Dust and...," when she realized what the boy said she stood there a moment and stared at him. She snubbed her nose to the air and went 'hmph' as she continued with her lecture, "Like I was saying, before I was rudely interrupted, this is Dust minded and purified from the Schnee Quarry."
"Uhh..." poor Ruby was having a tough time keeping up.
Which did not improve the snow-white girl's mood as she narrowed her eyes on Ruby, "What are you, brain dead? Dust!"
She pulled out a veil and starts shaking it to Ruby, without realizing the cap was loosen from the falling, and red powder flew in the air with each shake. However, the white-haired girl wasn't paying attention.
"Fire, Water, Lightning, energy!" she continued lecturing the two, but Kyon had a feeling knew where this was going and he didn't want to get caught in the middle of it himself.
"Hey, uh... you should probably stop shaking that veil right now," Ky pointed at hoping to get her attention, "Can't you see that it's-"
"What did I say about interrupting me?! Were you raised on a barn in the middle of nowhere!?" the girl snapped at the Kyon. The boy looked taken back, but glared right back as her dismissal. Also, there was no need to say that.
"Listen! You have to realize that-!"
"Are either of you listening to me?!"
Unfortunately, it was too late. Ruby got a whiff of the red Dust, most likely the Fire Dust, and her nose started to wrinkle and twitched.
"That's not it, your veil is-"
Kyon was then cut off as a hand belonging to an unfamiliar source stopped the girl from waving her hand while another person put a hand over the red girl's face to prevent her from sneezing. Everyone immediately turned their attention on the person preventing the white-haired girl from her actions as standing in front of her was Sieg.
"Excuse me. I strongly recommend you stop this scene and the shaking of that Dust Vile, otherwise we might experience a small detonation due to the improperly sealed vile." Sieg said as the tone he used regal and nobility as the girl noticed the small cloud of dust seeing he was correct. "Ruby, please take five paces back until the dust cloud clears if it moves torts your direction take two paces either left or right." Sieg said as he looked to Ruby who nodded.
"Thanks Sie, right in the nick of time." Kyon said as Sieg nodded.
"Anytime."
The blunette looked back at the the girl with a headshake. "You see? That's what I was trying to warn you about. If you know some much about Dust, then it should've known better than to wave it around in front of people. Nor carry them around such unstable dangerous substance in flimsy non-secure suitcases!"
She gasped offendedly. "How dare you accuse me! I am only explaining the Dust if you let me tell you dolts what you did wrong! I'm not sure if any of this is sinking in yet before your friend here arrived a second ago. Do you have anything to say for yourself?!" she walked in, pressed her finger on his chest and sneered at him.
"Like you should be the one saying you're accusing us." Kyon scoffed with an eye roll, removing her hand from his chest.
"What did you say?!" The girl exclaimed in anger.
"You heard what I said! And by the way, didn't your parents ever teach you about good manners? This attitude of yours is getting as cold as you are right now!" Kyon glared, causing her to glare back when he mentioned her 'cold' attitude.
"Now, now, both of you settle down before you make a commotion." Sieg said as he stepped in. Behind him, Ruby was watching the scene with worry. She didn't like where this was going. Although she's glad Sieg came to defuse the tension growing between Kyon and the girl, she never wanted the both of them to get on the wrong foot because of her despite Sieg's attempts to calm down the annoyed duo. This wasn't what she had in mind on the first day of Beacon Academy.
Just then, some red Dust passed by her nose. She began twitching and wrinkling it again. Only this time, she started to cough after smelling the Dust accidentally.
Sieg heard her, looked over his shoulder and widened his eyes when he realized he didn't stop Ruby on time from what she was about to do. "Uh, pardon me..." he spoke politely to Kyon and the white-haired girl, who were too busy talking to hear him.
"For your information, I have very good manners! Don't you know who exactly are you talking to?!" The girl argued.
"If you have any idea who I am, then maybe you shouldn't talk crap to me or my friend!" Kyon argued back.
"What makes you think I'm mean when you made a mess on my Dust?!"
"It's not my fault I didn't see all your stupid junk when I fell down by accident!"
Sieg stepped forward. "Uh, excuse me-"
"Junk! J-Junk!?" The girl was now even more livid. "You..."
"Uhhhhaaaahhh-Chooooo!"
And that was the sound of Ruby's dust-filled nose sneezing and catching all three youths in a massive fiery explosive. A giant crater was formed from the sneeze below the group and the veil in the white-haired girl's hand flew upward to the skies and landed a few feet away. Towards someone.
Splendid. Just what Sieg wanted to do today. Get caught in an explosive. As he was covered from head to toe in black soot, like the two girls though they looked more dazed than he was as Kyon puffed out a cloud of smoke. "This is what I was trying to warn you about."
"Well, ex-plode you, too," Kyon remarked.
However, the girl was having none of it, "Ugh! You complete, dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you both," she glanced at Ky when she said that, "a little young to be attending Beacon?"
Ky had seen this kind of arrogant attitude before. Though seeing it again was started to make him quite boiled with anger. He never liked someone getting yelled at for something so simple or blamed for that was clearly the other person's fault.
"Well... I..."
"This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparring and practice you know. We're here to fight monsters. So, watch where you're going!"
Kyon had enough of this and needed to get these things off his chest and address this entitled rude girl who got everything handed to her on a silver plate and call her out on how rotten she was being. He was about to confront the girl when, much to his surprise, Sieg stepped up to her first.
"Pardon me, but I'm afraid you must stop offending and accusing my friends any further. This behavior you're bearing is unacceptable." he reprimanded calmly and firmly with a stern face.
"W-what?" The girl stammered in disbelief.
"Yes. What my friend had done to your Dust wasn't his intention. It was merely a genuine accident. Therefore, the least you could do is forgive him."
"But he-!"
"But nothing." Sieg cut off her accusation, causing her to be taken aback by his calm and strong firm tone. Kyon smiled, happy that his friend was sticking by his side. Ruby stared in amazement from seeing how he's taking over the situation so lightly without being mad. "When my friends confronted an infamous criminal the previous night, their abilities caught the attention of Beacon's headmaster. He offered them to attend the academy. They may be young, but I know they are capable of fighting monsters, defending the innocent from danger and becoming Huntsmen." the silver-haired boy finished.
Kyon and Ruby smiled at that, the latter also feeling grateful to Sieg for defending her, even though she just met him. As for the girl, she shook off her shocked state and furrowed her eyebrows. "How can you be sure those two will be Huntsmen regardless of their age?" She questioned while trying not to sound rude in front of him as she pointed at the said duo, who looked at her angrily in response.
"Perhaps you should watch them fight a monster sometime and see for yourself. Your arrogance will make unfortunate consequences that will make you regret it soon if you don't stop." Sieg answered.
The girl looked a little surprised, not knowing what to say from the hidden wisdom in the end of his words.
"Plus, I already said sorry Princess!" Ruby spoke up, annoyed by the girl too.
"It's Heiress, actually," A new feminine voice chimed into their conversation.
The new voice belonged to a with girl of a pale complexion, similar to Ruby. She had long, wavy black hair, and her eyes were amber, complemented by light-purple eye shadow flaring backwards. The eyes were slightly tilted upwards at the ends, giving her a somewhat catlike appearance. She also had a black ribbon tied in the form of a bow.
The rest of her body she adorned to wear a black buttoned vest with coattails and a single silver button on the front. Under that vest included a white sleeveless high neck undershirt. Along with white shorts with black leg stocking and low-heeled boots. On her left arm is a detached sleeve with a silver cuff around her bicep, and black ribbons are wrapped around both forearms. Finally, she has a small loose black scarf wrapped around her neck. In one hand was a small untitled book, and the red vial of Dust that flew out of the girl's hand in the other.
Kyon looked back, folded his arms behind his head, and raised an eyebrow, "What's the difference?"
Her amber eyes, glanced at the boy and gave a small smirk, "I suppose none, I guess."
Sieg could've swore he thought he saw her bow twitch a little, which he decided to keep to himself for the time being.
The girl then pointed over at the white-haired girl, "Anyway, who you're trying to talk down to-" she spoke. "is the prince of Lucis himself. Prince Kyon Virtus Caelum - heir to the throne and son of King Noctis, the current king of Lucis and the Crown City. Speaking of which, it is a pleasure to meet you your highness" she bowed her head and smiled.
Kyon looked taken back. "Oh, um... Thanks?" Was all he could respond. It was nice knowing that someone recognized him, but he was still puzzled of who the black-haired girl was and why she stepped in now all of a sudden in interest of him.
"Wait! Kyon?" The white-haired girl worryingly asked. "The prince? Lucis? I... I-I..." The girl stammered with pleading and wide eyes, before the unexpected happens; she unsheathed her rapier and for a second Kyon thought she was gonna gut me, but instead... She knelt and stabbed her weapon into the ground, head facing down. "I'M SO SORRY!"
"What?" Kyon asked at a loss of words, dumbfounded to see this girl suddenly surrender because she knew who he was.
She stood back up and pleaded "I'm so sorry, your highness! I had no idea who you were! Please forgive me and my behaviour!"
Whilst Kyon was still at a loss of words, Ruby stepped in with a shrug and rub-it-in-your-face look. "Hmph! Should teach you not to disrespect a prince, huh?" she said.
The girl growled and glared once more at Ruby, and before she could say anything, the black-haired girl declared. "Oh, right. I almost forgot."
She twisted the vial of Dust around in her hand and analyzed the girl, "Weiss Schnee - heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world. Being shipped out across to Lucis, Vacuo, Mistral, Vale, and Atlas in reputation for hunters and huntresses."
"Finally! Some recognition" the girl - Weiss remarks with her hands on her hips and a scowl look upon Ruby.
So this was who the girl was - Weiss Schnee. Kyon knew her and her family well - their family mining company and palace is located in Atlas, her father and president of the mining company was Jacques Schnee; hoarding millions of dollars for his own personal gain and growth of his company. Her oldest sister was Winter Schnee; determinable and nonetheless strong in nature and force (He met her before). And she had a younger brother named Whitley; never seen or met him before, but he's the runt of the Schnee litter. They never cared about the Faunus or their safety when they put them to work, only that they continued to work unpaid, while they hoarded all they money. Slavery if you ask him. They ruled the kingdom of Atlas, while Kyon's father ruled the kingdom of Lucis. Speaking of which, Noctis and Weiss' fathers never got along much to not at all. Noctis saw the Faunus as humble people and he sees that humans and Faunus are equal beings, while Jacques saw the Faunus as nothing of the sort and that they were nothing more but animals underneath their heels. Whilst the black-haired girl mentioned who she was, there was one thing she was missing...
"The same company infamous for their controversial labour forces, and questionable business partners."
There it is!
"Wha-?! How dare you! The nerve of..." Weiss stumbled while Ruby chuckled. She scowled at the girl before aggressively yanking the dropped Dust vial out of her hand and stormed off. I saw a pattern of a snowflake imprinted on the back of her jacket, which was easy to tell as the Schnee family crest. "Ugh!"
"I promise I'll make this up to you" Ruby called out.
"Don't sweat it Ruby" Kyon assured her, "some people have their good and bad days. She? She probably has a bad one. Either that or she's a hot head. Or cold in her case."
She smiled as she's gotten over her griev and chuckled at my little joke there, although it was pretty bad. She got over her grief and recovered. "Yeah. I guess so... So! What do you want to-" she wanted to ask the girl, but instead we saw her turn and walk away casually.
Sieg camed up ro the girl and spoke, "Don't take it personally, Ruby. Everyone has their own agenda."
Ruby had an upset look in her eyes once more until seconds later she had crumpled to her knees and lied on the ground.
Concerned for her, Kyon knelt down beside her and asked "Ruby? You okay?"
"Yeah... I'm just... down, I guess."
"About what?
"Everything. My whole life turned upside down and now I'm here."
"But that's a good thing, right?" The blunette assured her.
"Yeah, but I couldn't bring my old friends with me to Beacon, and I was really looking forward to making a team with them after I graduated Signal. Then I got pushed ahead early two years and had to abandon them. I mean... it's nice that I could probably be on the same team with my sister, but it wouldn't be the same without them. And now I have to make new friends and I can't. You saw Weiss. And then that girl. They didn't want anything to do with me, so what's the point? Welcome to Beacon."
Ruby was really let down, having no friends or anybody to hang out with must be a nightmare for her. Kyon thought back to the airship when the gang introduced themselves to Ruby and her sister Yang, and he thought how that was like making new friends. "Don't worry, Ruby. You made several friends already. Me, Aptus, Silica, Eliza and Sieg."
Sieg tipped his feodora to the girl. "That, you do."
"See?" Kyon lent out his hand for her, and motioned for her to take it. "Besides, I'm here for you. You fall and I'll pick you right back up. So what do you say?" He then gave the girl a toothy, closed-eye grin.
Ruby stared at the boy for a while as her cheeks turned a shade of red, until she smiled slightly and took his hand, and he pulled her back up to her feet. "Thanks, Ky. It means a lot to me."
"No problem Roselyn."
Ruby's eyes widened as she looked at the boy. "Roselyn?"
"Yeah, I figure I give you a nickname. Why? Don't like it?" Kyon questioned with a smirk while he tilted his head.
"N-No. I like it fine."
"Good, because I'm gonna call you that whenever you liked it or not."
Sieg took a moment to hear that and then started to snicker.
Ruby pouted and stuck out her tongue, "Meh!"
Soon, someone walked up to them as Sieg turn to see it was the same blonde knight who was sick on the air ship as he said, "Good afternoon, may we help you?"
Everyone turn to the guy and said, "Ah... sort of, maybe, but I would like to say, thank you what you gave me, I help me a lot."
"It was my pleasure," Sieg said as he did like to help things, and for him and everyone else on that airship, no one wanted to smell vomit.
"I'm Jaune by the way," Jaune said as he held up a hand to him as the Kingsglaive took it and said, "Seig."
Ruby walked up and shook his hand as well, "Ruby."
Kyon shook his hand next and acquaint himself; "Kyon, but my friends call me Ky."
Jaune's eyes shot open when the bluenette mentioned his name. "K-Kyon? As in... Kyon Virtus Caelum?!" He asked.
"Yeah?" Kyon answered questionably.
"No way! I'm... I'm so honoured to meet you your highness! I-I don't know what to say!" Jaune darted down as he knelt and got back up instantly - a gleamingly excited and surprised look in his eyes.
"Thanks."
"Say. Your highness... Um... Is it alright if I could walk with you two guys to the ceremony? I've got nobody to hang out with." Kyon exchanged looks with Sieg Ruby as she smiled and nodded, while Sieg shrugged casually.
With that, he answered Jaune "No, not a problem. And please, don't call me 'your highness'. Just call me Ky."
"Um, yeah. Sure thing your high- I MEAN, your majes- I MEAN... I should stop talking now..." Jaune stuttered with his words with utter defeat to the fact that he didn't want to speak.
"Say, wait a minute..." Ruby interrupted with a snort. "Aren't you the guy who vomited on the ship?"
