<Ruby dream p.o.v.>

I saw myself in the Emerald Forest.

"Yang? Weiss? Blake? Anyone?" I called out.

No one responded.

Next thing I heard was growling.

I turned around and saw a large Beowulf pack.

They were being led by an Alpha.

I went to reach for my weapon but it wasn't there.

"No, no no no no no! This can't be happening" I said.

The Grimm got closer.

The Alpha and it's pack leapt at me.

I braced myself for their attack.

Next thing I knew was there was a bright light.

Once the light went down I saw that the Grimm had perished.

The light manifested as a mass of flying light...stuff.

"T-Thank you!" I said.

It didn't respond.

Until it flew behind me.

I saw the light stand just near the trees.

"Come..." It said.

It's voice was gentle and warm.

"Please...help me." It said.

"Help you with what" I asked.

The light began floating to the trees.

"Please...you must help me." It said.

I didn't have any other choice but to follow it.

"What do you need help with?" I asked.

"I'm trapped nearby. I need help" It said.

I followed it to a large cave.

"Are you in here" I asked.

My voice echoed into the void of the cave.

The light I was following transformed into a swirling vortex.

I then heard the voice.

"Find me...find me in the Nexus" The voice said.

"W-Where is it" I exclaimed.

"There isn't enough time. This will show the way" The voice said.

A gold light shot out of the vortex.

It hit my hand.

My hand stung a bit.

When I looked at my hand I saw what looked to be a magic compass.

"Find me...Remnant needs you! Bring the others" The voice said.

The vortex light glowed bright.

I covered my eyes.

"Ru...y...wa...k...u..." Another voice said.

It sounded familiar.

"Ruby...up..." The second voice said.

I tried to follow the voice.

Then I my eyes opened.

"RUBY" The voice said.

The voice came from Yang, who was hugging the life out of me.

I looked around the room.

I was in the nurse's office?

"Ruby, you're ok" Yang exclaimed.

"What do you mean? What happened" I asked.

Weiss then came into view, she also looked worried.

Blake was also there too.

"You weren't waking up. We tried waking you up but you weren't responding. So we took you to the nurse's office" She said.

Ozpin and Glynda came into the room.

"Miss Rose, I'm glad to see that you've recovered" Ozpin said.

"Do you know what happened for you to be in this state" Glynda asked.

"N-no I don't. I just fell asleep like normal. But I had the craziest dream" I said, laughing it off.

Ozpin looked concerned.

"What happened in this dream. It might help us understand what happened" He said.

"W-Well I was in the Emerald Forest. I was surrounded by Beowulves and then I was saved by a Light. The Light said-THE LIGHT" I exclaimed.

I looked at my hand.

And there it was...the magic compass.

Everyone looked surprised on what was on my hand.

"Sis...what's on your hand" Yang asked.

Ozpin walked forward.

He took my hand and looked at the compass.

"It is as I feared" He said.

We all turned to him.

"What is it" Blake said.

"You have been chosen" He said simply.

"Chosen" I asked.

He let go of my hand.

"Miss Rose. You and your team will not be attending classes for today" He said.

My team and I were confused and shocked.

"Why" Weiss complained.

"Miss Schnee. This is something that concerns all of Remnant" Ozpin said.

He turned to me.

"Miss Rose. You and your team are going on a classified mission. You are to follow that compass to it's destination" Ozpin said.

"Professor, why is this so important" Blake asked.

"I'll explain everything later. But right now, you and your team must prepare" He said.

The whole scenario seemed serious, so we followed his orders.

My team and I were on a transport ship heading to the Emerald Forest.

"Girls, are you familiar with the story of the Ranger of Light" Ozpin asked.

"Vaguely" Blake responded.

We turned to Blake.

"What do you know" I asked.

"A long time ago, there was a warrior known as the Ranger of Light. He wielded magic and fought for the good of the world. He fought a warrior of Darkness for the fate of everything. Unfortunately the aftermath was never discovered" She said.

"Indeed. I believe that he has reached out to you" Ozpin said.

We seemed shocked.

"Why Ruby? She's barely into her training" Weiss asked.

"I don't know that. But if he has reached out to you, then it seems you're destined for great things, Miss Rose" He said.

I was both excited and concerned.

My compass glowed.

"We're close" Ozpin said.

The transport ship stopped and dropped us down.

"I cannot join you girls, but I do wish you well. Call for transport when your mission is complete" Ozpin said.

We nodded.

Ozpin flew away.

"So...where to DustFox Maps" Yang joked.

I rolled my eyes and looked at my compass.

"This way" I said.

We followed the compass.

After about 15 minutes we ended up at the cave I saw in my dream.

"So, how do we find this Ranger of Light" Weiss asked.

I shrugged.

The compass started glowing bright.

From the entrance of the cave came the vortex from my dream.

"W-What's that" Weiss asked.

I pointed to the vortex.

"We have to go through there" I said.

Not having much choice, my team reluctantly followed me through the vortex.

We ended up in another dimension.

We then saw a floating Castle.

A strange force took us to the Castle.

We opened the doors and went inside.

We walked through the silent hallways.

The only sound being the sound of our footsteps.

The compass on my hand showed us the way.

We ended up in a large chamber of sorts.

There was floating blue Crystal.

"WOW" I exclaimed.

I ran around the room like a child.

"It's like we're in a fairy tale" I said happily.

Blake simply nodded.

We all then took notice of the giant Crystal.

It was calling to us.

As we got closer we were all shocked with what was in the Crystal.

It looked like...a man.

He was inside the crystal.

The compass and the crystal glowed together.

"P-Perhaps you should try touching it Ruby" Yang said.

I nervously put my hand up.

A laser came out of my hand and into the Crystal.

The more the laser hit the Crystal, the more the Crystal glowed.

After it had finished charging up, the Crystal was surrounded by a bright light.

It shot out of the Castle like a beacon.

Afterwards the Crystal shot the man out...and into me.

He collided with me hard, knocking us back.

Yang quickly helped me up.

We all got our weapons ready.

The man started getting up.

He looked like he was wearing some form of armour.

Once he stood up we got a full view of him.

HE LOOKED SO COOL!

"W-Who are you" He asked.

I stood forward.

"Umm...I'm not sure if you remember me, but I was the one who you contacted in the dream" I said.

He looked at me.

"Yes...YES! Now I remember, the one with the Silver eyes" He said.

He started doing poses.

"I am Y/n L/n. White Power Ranger of the Remnant Rangers" He said.

He radiated some form of energy.

"I'm Ruby Rose, and this is my team. Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long...she's my sister. Together we are Team RWBY" I said.

Everyone gave their greetings.

"Wonderful, the others are here. That saves us the trouble of getting them" He said.

"What do you mean getting us" Yang asked.

"I tried contacting all of you whilst I was sealed. It seems only Ruby was the only one who got my message" He said.

He pointed at us.

"Team RWBY. I have summoned you here for a special reason. You four are going to help me save Remnant" He proclaimed.

"How" I asked.
