A day had passed by since you passed out and flopped onto the ground. By now you were back on your feet and wandering around again, but you couldn't navigate the forest nearly as quickly as you usually could.

Due to both injures and exhaustion, you were reduced to a rather pathetic state. You could barely walk around.

Y/N: Ugh...I'm feeling light headed...

It didn't help that this side of The Forest was still in horrible living conditions. There was still remnants of fire scattered all over, and ashes flew through the air, potentially infiltrating your lungs.

The scent of burning wood could be smelled for miles, and yet despite how bad things looked, it could've been a lot worse.

At this point you had no idea where you were, nor did you know how long you had been wandering for. On the bright side, you hadn't encountered a single Grimm since that night several weeks ago.

Y/N: What do I do from here...?

Meanwhile: Towards the Edge of The Forest

Above all of the fire and Grimm, two adults could be seen standing on the edge of a cliff. One being Glynda Goodwitch, one of the Professors of Beacon Academy, and the other being Ozpin, owner of Beacon Academy.

From what could be seen, it seemed that they were monitoring the process of their students. Said Students had been placed into a practical exercise to which they will form teams.

So far, every student has at least one partner with them, except for one.

Glynda: It seems the final pair has been made. Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie. Poor boy, I can't imagine those two getting along...still probably better off than Miss. Nikos. I don't care what the records say, that Jaune is not ready for this level of combat.

Ozpin: It seems that Mr. Belladonna is the only one who hasn't found a partner yet. In fact, he's venturing far off into the Forest. Unlike his Sister who's partnered up with Miss. Xiao Long...

Glynda: While we dwell near the subject, our devices have reported of somebody else wandering the Forest. The other side I mean. These photos show him with spiky hair, no shirt, torn up cargo pants, and very torn up shoes. The most notable detail is that he has a brown tail.

The Photos on Glynda's scroll showed several pictures of you aimlessly roaming the destroyed forest. This caught Ozpin's undivided attention as he took a closer look.

Glynda: I personally find it hard to believe, but this boy could have been the cause of that massive explosion several weeks ago. It was in this Forest after all.

Ozpin: While it is worth looking into, I simply can't grasp the idea. No man or Faunus in history has been able to generate that much Power to which a literal hole is put in the sky.

Glynda: I understand, Sir. I'll be sure to keep an eye on him regardless.

With that they kept monitoring their students. Leaving both of them to wonder, what would a boy such as yourself be doing all the way out there in the first place.

Roughly half an hour had passed and you still didn't know where you were. However, you were still making progress for you weren't seeing anymore fire, and more importantly, you saw normal undamaged trees in the distance.

However, you could also hear the sounds of gunfire, and howling. You were questioning wether or not it would be a good idea to head in that direction.

Y/N: If I stay here, then I'll surely die...I don't really have a choice here.

With that you started to slowly walk towards the other side of the Forest which was now in your sights. Meanwhile in the distance, somebody was watching you.

???: Who is that guy...?

A few more minutes go by as you were greeted by a welcoming breeze of cold and fresh air. This alone was probably the best thing you had ever felt.

You took a minute and took several deep breathes. After weeks of breathing in fumes of ash and gross hot air, this was like a refreshing cup of ice cold soda on a hot summer day for you.

Y/N: *Deep Breath*...That's nice.

???: Why are you so bossy?!

??? 2: I am not bossy! Don't say things like that!

Your little trance was interrupted when the sound of two feminine voices arguing could be heard far off in the distance.

???: Stop treating me like a kid!!

??? 2: Stop acting like a kid!!

???: Well stop acting like you're Perfect!!

??? 2: I'M. NOT. PERFECT. Not yet...but I'm still leagues better than you...

???: ...You don't even know me...

Y/N: ...Hm...

Your eavesdropping was then put to an end by the sounds of cracking leaves and rustling bushes behind you. Slowly rotating, you turned around and locked eyes with an Ursa that had been passing by.

Y/N: Crap...déjà vu...

The Ursa took a deep breath before letting out a loud roar right in your face causing you to stumble and fall backwards as you went slightly wide eyes at the sight.

???: Huh...?

While it was just one this time, you were way too weak to run away, much less fight back. The Ursa held you down with one of it's massive paws as it prepared to cut into your flesh like a hot knife through butter.

Gritting your teeth, your eyes flashed Blue again as you began to growl yourself. However before you could fully change, the Ursa was knocked backwards by a giant red scythe.

Much to your surprise, your life had just been saved. Standing before you was a teenage girl, wielding a weapon that was almost the same size as her.

???: Are you okay?! You're lucky I was around!

Y/N: Yeah, I'm fine...thanks.

The girl offered you her hand. You took it as she effortlessly pulled you back onto your feet. She was clearly stronger than she looked, but considering the weapon she was hauling around, that shouldn't be a surprise.

???: I don't think I've seen you before. What's your name?

You hesitated to respond. Most people weren't nearly as friendly with you as this girl. It was an odd change. Nevertheless, you answered.

Y/N: ...I'm Y/N...

???: Ruby Rose. I just started attending Beacon. You look like you're in pretty bad shape...

Y/N: You go to Beacon...?

Ruby: Yup. I came here to fight monsters and make the world a better place! I'm guessing you're a new student too?

Y/N: I...don't attend any school...

Ruby: Oh...what are you doing all the way out here then?

Y/N: It's a long story.

Ruby: Well...so long as you stick with me, you'll be just fine!

Y/N: Okay...Thank you...

All of a sudden another voice shouted out in the distance. Speaking to Ruby specifically.

???: Ruby! What's taking you so long?! A sloth could've outran you at this rate!!

Y/N: Who's that...?

Ruby: Oh boy, here we go...
