I woke up to an alarm going off and a bird on my face.

Wait... What?

Why the hell is there a bird on my face?!

I hissed as the bird finally flew off, leaving through my open window as well as leaving a large scratch on my face from its talons. That was going to leave a mark...

I sighed as I got up and did my daily morning routine. After that was done, I finally grabbed a granola bar and headed out the door, making my way to the Academy in the early hours of the morning. However, despite it being the early hours of the morning, the village was already lively with shops opening up and other students making their way to the Academy.

I sweat dropped as I noticed Sakura and Ino about to race each other. I looked behind them only to notice some of my own fan girls, and I stiffly turned around hoping they didn't notice me. My eyes almost lit up as I saw three of the only girls who wouldn't bother me.

"Hey guys!" I called out to them with a wave as I jogged up to them.

"Akio???" They all looked mildly confused.

"What do you want with us?" Katie asked suspiciously with her eyes narrowed.

"Aha-" I chuckled nervously while scratching the back of my head. "Well, you see... I was wondering if I could walk with you guys on the way to the Academy?"

"Why us?" Katie was starting to glare.

"Oh, um, about that..." I shuffled my feet as I looked down nervously. "The- The fan girls sort of, kind of scare me..."

I blushed slightly as they all just stopped and stared at me. They blinked once. Twice. Then Katie let out a boisterous laugh as she doubled over with the other two following her lead in a more quiet manner.

"O-oi!" My blush grew as I tried to defend myself. "I-It's not that funny!"

"I'm sorry, but that's hilarious." Rose smiled while the other two nodded.

"Oh man!" Katie laughed. "That's an absolute riot!"

"I think I understand his reasoning though," Emily spoke quietly, paling with the others and myself as Sakura and Ino ran by like bulls after a red flag or, in this case, Sasuke.

"Y-yeah," Katie sweat dropped. "No kidding..."

"The others are even worse..." I started anime crying.

"Y-you don't say..." Even Rose and Emily were sweat dropping at this point.

"There there," Katie tried to comfort causing us all to stare at her. She shuffled in discomfort at the stares. "What?! It always worked when Olivia said it!"

"Yeah, but..." Rose and Emily looked at each other. "Olivia is the only one awkward enough to pull it off."

By this point we had resumed walking, and I gave them a curious look as they spoke.

"Olivia?" I questioned.

"Oh, she's one of our friends from where we come from," Rose stated simply. "She's one of the nicest girls you'll ever meet, but she's a bit on the awkward side. She's probably the only person you'll ever meet that literally doesn't have any enemies!"

"Yeah, no kidding!" Katie barked out a laugh. "I never understood how she could always stay so calm. But it was hilarious whenever she got overly excited about anime and went on her rants!"

"I concur," Emily smiled slightly before frowning. "It would be nice if she was here with us."

"Yeah..." The other two started sulking with Emily as well.

"Uhhh..." Ah, crap. What do I do? What in the name of all that is good do I do?! "Oh, uh, would you look at that! We're at the Academy already! Yeah, um, we should probably get to class! Then we can get placed on our teams and all that jazz!"

"Oh, right," Thankfully, the three perked up as we walked inside.

"Oh!" I remembered. "You guys should probably go inside before me. You don't want to be seen with me by the fan girls. Trust me."

"Ah, those girls can screw off!" Katie exclaimed as she took me by my arm with Rose taking the other before they began dragging me in. "We're just friends, so they can be prissy all they want. Doesn't matter to us."

Friends huh?

"Thanks," I smiled at them for more reasons than one.

"No problem!"

"Yeah, you're now considered as one of the girls!" Rose smirked. "That means your problems are our problems now."

"Uh... Thank you?" I think.

"No problem!"

What did I just get myself into?
