As October
comes to life,
StudCo
dives in
to Christmas,
which I kind of
hate.
Holidays are
not my thing,
because they
interrupt
regular life,
but I
deal with it
because they're
completely
unavoidable.

We have a huge
project
each year called
Merry and Bright.
In short,
we get
students,
staff,
families,
and
community businesses
to donate so that
people with
less
can have a
Christmas that is
merry and bright.
I think
it's kind of
cheesy,
but it's fun
to see the whole
student body
excited for
once in their lives
and the intent
is good.

I just hate
trying to convince
businesses to
donate.
Most people
are usually
generous about it,
but it's so
awkward
to be a teenager
asking an adult
for anything.
Because adults are
kind of
condescending.
Like because
their lifespan
has already
doubled mine,
they are gods
and I am
stupid.
