"Yeah. We made up," Gary chimed cheerfully into the phone. "Mmhmm. Yeah. I still love her. Okay. Bye." Gary hung up on Drew and smirked at (Name), who stared back at him, a stoic expression on her face. She had nothing to say to him, nothing to feel about him anymore. She still loved him, deep down, but at the same time, she felt disgust.

"Why are you doing this?" she questioned emotionlessly.

"It's only fair. You made me miserable and now I'll make you miserable." A look of disbelief crossed (Name)'s face.

"Don't you think my life is already miserable enough?"

"Like it's been that hard for you," Gary snapped. "Maybe you left me for that guy? What was his name? Harry? Harry Albert? Did you leave me for him?"

"Shut up..." was (Name)'s feeble response. Gary smirked in triumph.

"So, that's it. You left me for another man." He moved closer to the (h/c)-haired girl. "Now, tell me. Where is he now?"

"I... He..." (Name) bit her tongue, about to say that Harry Albert didn't exist, but Gary interrupted her.

"Did he cheat on you? Was he a jerk and you broke up with him? Did you fight?" (Name) didn't answer. Gary kept firing questions at her until finally she broke.

"Harry Albert... doesn't exist." Gary was silent for a moment. Then he burst into laughter as (Name) flinched.

"Yeah. Like I'll believe that." (Name) let out an irritated huff. This is going to be annoying...

Well, you and Gary got back together of course!

(Name) groaned. She had forgotten that Gary had told practically everyone that they were "back together." Next thing, he'll probably tell everyone that I'm the Kalos Lady.

Well, you see, about that-

(Name)'s text was interrupted mid-sentence when a large hand plucked the phone out of her hand. (Name) glared at Gary, who raised an eyebrow.

"This is pointless, Porcupine," she growled. "They'll find out eventually." The brunet shrugged and ran a hand through his hair.

"Hey. This didn't need to happen if you told me the truth," he replied with a smirk. "You just chose not to. So it's only fair that I get back at you." (Name) sighed loudly. Not only was he torturing her, he also managed t0 get (Name)'s friends to let him stay at her house until they "bought a house together." Arceus! This is worst situation I've ever been in during my whole life!

"I want to tell you, but then you'll be even angrier than you are now!" she yelled. Gary began to get irritated as well. His left eye twitched in annoyance.

"Can I be any more mad at you than I already am?!" he shouted in reply.

"I told you that you can't know why! Because then you'll never forgive me!" 

"I'm not forgiving you now for not telling me!" Gary argued in reply. The two threw insults at each other, yelling at the top of their lungs. (Name) began to tear up a bit as she swallowed hard. He really hates me now... when all I wanted was the best for him!

"You know what?" Gary paused and raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

"You would never listen to me anyway," she spat, her voice cold as ice. "Even if I did tell you the truth, you would laugh and continue trying to shatter me." Gary's mouth dropped open in shock but he quickly closed it.

"You're right. I would say that because you know what you are? A lying bitch."

(Name) had no idea where she was going, had no idea where her feet were taking her, but after Gary's last sentence she couldn't stay near him anymore. Her body moved on it's own, running farther and farther away from Hearthrome City until it was just a speck in the distance.

Gary, meanwhile, was venting to himself. Why in the hell did I say that to her?! I want her to be mine again, I don't want to fucking chase her away! Why am I doing this...? This... this wasn't my original intentions...

"It's done," Azelf sighed monotonously. "Ana, I've controlled Gary's will to do the exact opposite he wanted to do. This is the LAST favor I will EVER do you. Again, you aren't the same girl who saved me and the other Lake Guardians from Team Galactic..."

"Oh really, Azelf?" Ana questioned with a small smirk. "I'm sure you'll be doing MUCH more work for me soon. Besides, I KNOW you, Mesprit, and Uxie didn't use your curse full-power. Now you have to repay me by doing what I want again. Only Uxie did her job, so I guess I'll leave her alone, but you and Mesprit..." Azelf growled.

"I refuse." Ana smirked even wider.

"Well, you can't." Azelf's eyes widened as a purple Pokeball was thrown at it. A Master Ball.

(Name) didn't know where she was. She was confused, and lost. All that was in front of her was a vast meadow of green grass dotted with pretty pink flowers.

"Why in the hell am I here?!" she wondered out loud.

"(Name)." The (h/c)-haired girl jumped as she felt a hand on her shoulder. But the voice was familiar.

"Jamie..." (Name) sighed in relief. "What... what are you doing here?" 

"This is Gracidea Meadow," the brunette replied. "This is where I guard Shaymin's secret... this is where I've been for more than half a decade, because this place needs to be safe... and Shaymin guided you here because... there's something important you need to know."

"Shaymin?" The little green Pokemon appeared, a smile on its face.

"Um... hi?" (Name) questioned, feeling slightly foolish to be talking to a Pokemon. 

"It's saying you should go tell Gary the truth," Jamie said softly. "You have to. You have to do it to fulfill your destiny." 

"He hates me now," (Name) groaned in reply. "He'll never listen to me."

"But," Jamie smiled. "It seems as if a Pokemon's work is done for now, so he will be more understanding."

"Huh?"

"Azelf, (Name). Azelf has been controlling Gary since the wedding."

"But... why?" Jamie and Shaymin looked at each other.

"I've said too much," Jamie sighed. "I promise this will work. I promise. Tell him the truth..."

It was the most awkward night of her life.

(Name), Gary, May, and Drew were out at a fancy restaurant. Kaila, she learned, was at home with a babysitter.

May and Drew were flirting, with sweet 'I love you's and crap and every time they got in a slight argument, they always ended up kissing- and that would somehow make it all better.

(Name) and Gary, however were not talking. At all. They simply ate, completely ignoring May and Drew, who were one table away from them so they could have some "privacy."

After they finished eating, however... that was a completely different story. (Name) and Gary knew it would be rude to leave, but they didn't want to talk to each other and May and Drew were too wrapped up in each other.

Finally, (Name) broke the awkward silence.

"G-Gary?" The boy raised an eyebrow.

"What?"

"I'm sorry for yelling at you earlier..." she apologized timidly. Shit! Why in the hell am I talking like this? Why am I acting like this? When did I stop being mad at him?!

"It was my fault," Gary replied a little too quickly and a little too loudly, causing several people to look their way. Their faces reddened as they waited for everyone to look away.

"I guess you do deserve to know the truth but..." She paused. "Can't you see that you're not the only one that suffered through all this? I was ALONE, Gary. You had Ana, you were going to get married and have a happy life. While here I was, living alone, a shitty life with shitty people all around me and-"

"I get it," Gary sighed. "I was wrong." The green in his eyes dulled. "I'm sorry, (Name). I was just irritated that you wouldn't tell me anything. And I really shouldn't have snapped at you... you... you didn't deserve that..." 

"I guess I owe you the truth..." (Name) drummed her fingers nervously. "I left you because I wanted you to be happy." Gary's eyes nearly bugged out of his head.

"You thought I was going to be happy with ANA?!" (Name) huffed angrily. This was exactly why she didn't want to tell him in the first place!

"You looked so happy with her, I didn't want to ruin anything-"

"Pesky woman." Gary cut in as (Name) inhaled a deep breath. "You weren't going to ruin anything... I wished you had stayed with me." 

"I... couldn't. Because Ana... I thought she was going to be the one for you..." Gary sighed and ran his hand through his hair- again. It was starting to be a cute action in (Name)'s eyes.

He reached across the table and cupped her cheek with one hand.

"How can she be the one for me when you're the one for me?" (Name) blushed heavily.

"W-wait! When did you go from being all mad at me to... this?!" she stuttered. 

"I love you. I really do. How can I be mad at you when you're the girl I love?"

"You hopeless romantic," (Name) giggled with an eyeroll as Gary leaned in and captured her lips. This is what it was supposed to be like... but it's happening now, so who am I to complain? I'm sorry I didn't stay with you.
