Chapter 10:

“Can I think about it?” I stand up and head for the door turning around for his answer,

“If you don’t show up next week I’ll have your answer and unfortunately will have my lawyers file the papers to sue you.” His eyes shows that he was sorry but it was just the way things go, I nod before exiting.

What do I do, I will never get a better paying job but at the same time if I stay I think I will go completely mad. Being yanked around like two kids fighting over their favorite toy. “Mommy, Smackdown is about to start!” Angel squeals climbing on the couch beside me, I give a weak smile and nod.

“I’ll put it on now, Angel what do you think about mommy getting a different job?” she looks up at me with her thumb in her mouth as she seems to think about it.

“Mmm, I like your job cause even when you’re not with me I can always see you.” She smiles and I nod, I must admit I like my job to I love nothing more than wrestling but was it worth it. The music starts to play and both of us squeal with delight, I hope Dolph isn’t on tonight though he probably was, he pretty much ran Smackdown now.

Cody was in the ring with Sin Cara while Ash was ring side, he needs to stop going for the mask or he is going to lose again. “What is it with wrestlers and needing to take off someone’s mask, geez.” I groan,

“Word to your mother” Angel says and I turn to her shocked,

“What does that mean? And where did you hear it?” I ask looking down at her dumbfounded she looks up at me worried that she said something bad.

“I don’t know…I thought it meant like your right…an I heard it while at Nana’s on TV.” She looks afraid but when I laugh and pull her close into me she just joins in seeing everything was fine. There was a knock on the door, “Who is here during Smackdown?” Angel groans folding her arms across her chest and sticking her bottom lip out pouting, I smile.

“Who is it?”

“Me…” rings a man’s voice I turn to Angel who’s face lights up,

“Daddy!” she screams jumping up off the couch and running for the door, I jump up picking her up and answering the door. Nick and Nikki both walk in and instantly I want to throw them out slamming the door in their faces but Angel’s excitement makes me stop.

“What do you want?” I try to ask in a friendly voice for Angel’s sake, she tries climbing out of my arms to get to him but I pull her back and she knew something wasn’t right.

“I came here to fix everything…and to see my Angel.” He says the last part in a more cheerful voice smiling at her and she beams with happiness, “Can I?” he asks reaching his arms out toward us, she looks into my eyes pleading and I cave handing her over.

“What am I doing here? Ugh this place is so low class.” She snarls looking around the apartment that was actually quite nice, it wasn’t a thousand dollar place but it was close.

“I already said I was here to fix everything, Victoria you have always been special to me and give me a feeling I have never and never will feel with someone else. And Nikki you have this spell over me that I don’t even understand.” He says to both of us, I look at him confused.

“Is it really that hard to choose?” I ask narrowing my eyes at him, he looks hurt and opens his mouth.

“Dolph just tell her you choose me already so I can get out of here, hell if you want we can get custody of Angel.” She rolls her eyes, and a fire in me ignites

“I dare you to try to take my child!” I yell charging at her, Nick steps in the way with Angel in his arms and I quickly stop so I don’t hurt her.

“Will everyone just calm down, let me say what I need to say. Nikki you always talk shut up for once and let me speak, Victoria I know you are fed up with me but just please one last time…please.” I turn to Nikki my jaw clenched, her hands are folded across her chest as she glares at me and it takes all my self-control not to attack her face.

“Go on,” I say through clenched teeth,

“You both had an important part in my life at some point some longer than the others,” he looks at me, and then carries on. “You each brought me something good in life, Tor you gave me Angel. Nikki, you helped boost my career.” Nikki gives a cocky grin, “But obviously I can’t have both of you and need to make a choice.”

“How do you even know I still want you after everything you put me through?” I snap at him, he adjusts Angel in his arms as he bites his bottom lip.

“I don’t, I’m making my choice then you or Nikki can make your choice whether or not you want to, obviously I’m not forcing you…” I just glare at him and he continues, “Nikki, I mentioned earlier that spell you have on me, I don’t know how you do it but anytime I get the courage to leave you I can’t. I thought that was love, but when Victoria came back in my life I remembered what love was and you aren’t it.” He says plainly her face gets a fire in it when she realizes he isn’t choosing her and my heart jumps with joy no matter how mad I am at him.

“Fuck you, Dolph. Get with that trash, see if I care!” she yells before slamming my door behind her, I stand there staring at him trying to decide whether or not I wanted to be with him.

“Angel, go watch Smackdown, mommy and I will be over there in a little bit.” He says in a loving voice kissing her cheek before setting her down, she listens like always. “Are you taking me back? As fucked up as our relationship can be you can’t deny we are meant to be together… please. I will never ever in a million years do something like this to you again.” He pleads and my heart starts to ache wanting to believe him so bad.

“You keep promising that, Nick.” I sigh as the tears burn my throat, “You get this last chance if you ruin it we are done for good.” I choke out and he immediately pulls me into a hug swinging me around, his lips press on mine and I know for a fact I made the right choice.

“Remember when I said we were gonna get married and have kids?” he asks I nod, “We have the kid, let’s get the marriage things rolling.” He smiles wide and I giggle pressing my lips back to his as tears of joy ran down my face.
