Chapter 5:

“Dolph was so surprised to see me because he left me to come here, I guess he assumed I would never make it without him.” I shoot daggers at him and the crowd was surprised by my reaction,

“That isn’t the whole truth-“ he started but I cut in again,

“I’m not finished yet, so don’t worry. We met in high school fell in love went into the independent circuit together, promised to never give up on the other to be together forever, remember that Dolph? Marriage, kids, and old age?” I laugh bitterly as his cheeks flush pink and his eyes start to water,

“Vixy…you know I meant all of that.” He says low into the mic as though he was trying to say it privately,

“No you didn’t, because the moment the WWE called you left without a second glance. Like I meant nothing to you…it is hard to get over your first love, especially when you have a little girl with his exact face staring back at you the whole way.” I cover my mouth suddenly realizing I just admitted something I wasn’t supposed to, Dolph freezes realizing that wasn’t part of the script.

“Are you saying…we have a daughter…?” he chokes out eyes pleading with me, I gulp hard wanting to crawl under a rock.

“Yes, and you left her…” tears were starting to bead in my eyes knowing she was at home watching mommy and…daddy on TV, he blinks repeatedly taking a step back as if suddenly he was dizzy with confusion. “Dolph…I loved you with all my heart, hell truth is I still do…no matter how much I try to hide it…” I mutter getting back to the script; he looks up at me the look of betrayal in his eyes makes the tears escape mine falling down my face.

“I didn’t mean to leave her…or you…I love you, Vixy. I always have, when I told you there would never be someone else I meant it…” he sighs taking a step forward, he brushes his thumb gently over my cheek wiping my tears and suddenly everything feels very real again. His hand under my chin he makes me look up in his soft brown eyes, Nick… I think no longer seeing Dolph in them at all. “Please forgive me, remember me…”

Remember me, remember me, the words ring in my head that wasn’t part of the script…that was Nick letting me know he was back. I give a smile through the tears standing on my tip-toes I press my lips to his, once again going off script, he wraps his arms around my waist and I encircle mine around his neck. His lips oh so sweet, my heart starts to race remembering this feeling that only Nick can give me, he slowly pulls away and I feel a lingering tingle in my lips as if his still there and I treasure every second I can of the feeling. He takes my hand and we walk out of the ring even grown men were in tears cheering as he smiles down at me and we disappear in the back.

Still hand in hand he opens his mouth to say something when the world’s most annoying voice cuts in and no, it’s not Vickie. “Babe, you are such a great actor it actually looked like you liked kissing that mutt.” Nikki Bella laughs pulling Nick to face her she puts both her hands on his face pulling his face down to hers for an awkwardly forced kiss.

“Thanks.” He mutters glancing over at me, thanks? So much for the real Nick being back… I think as I shake my head disappointed in him. I walk away, down the hall I went headed for my dressing room when I’m yanked into a room.

“Please don’t kidnap me!” I screech, I hear a familiar laugh and turn to see Ashley with a huge grin.

“Please tell me that was not scripted!!” She squeals with excitement as she pulls on my arms, I give a weak smile.

“Sorry to disappoint but most of it was…” I groan just as disappointed as her, her smile fades and she looks confused.

“What was real?” she asks, I look at her not wanting to say but my silence was enough her jaw drops in shock. “No…you guys have a daughter?” Her eyes are about to pop out of her head,

“Yes, her name is Angel Kaye Nemeth…she is turning five in November.” I whisper, really not my proudest moment hiding something so big from Nick but I was so mad. Jealous. It was wrong I know.

“Aw cute, I can’t believe Dolph didn’t know…you think if he knew he would have stayed with you instead of joining the WWE?” she asks taking a seat and motioning for me to sit beside her, I do and think about it.

“I would hope so, but really I will admit most of it was jealousy and anger but I really did love him and was proud…I didn’t want him to pass it up. So I stayed quiet. Wanna see her?” I ask and her eyes bright up with joy, I took that as a yes and pulled out my phone showing her pictures.

“Wow, Angel was definitely the right name she is freakin’ adorable!” Ashley exclaims, taking the phone out of my hand to get a better look.

“I would say thanks but she gets her looks from her dad…”
