Dealing With Rage

Rage can be petty,
and Rage can be major.
Rage can be unimportant,
and Rage can be useful.
It all depends on how you decide to use it.

"Really?" Timid asked quietly. "What would happen if they got me?" I ignored her question. I don't want to think of that right now. I'm already distressed enough.
"Come on. Let's go Robin."
"Go where?" He asked.
"I want to talk to Rage. She's always willing to talk weather you think it or not."
"Can...can I come Raven?"
"Sure Timid." I was a little reluctant to bring Timid with me, but she would probably be more vulnerable on her own. At this point I have to protect as many emotions as I can.

We walked down the beaten path, literally, and Timid and I flew over the holes and Robin leaped over with the help of his staff.

"Wait." Robin said.
"What?" I asked.
"Down there. Go. And be quiet." He motioned to the underside of the road. Timid and I followed his instructions and we used our powers to keep him from falling.

"What's happening Robin?" Timid asked in her quieter whisper voice.
"I'm going to take a guess and say that's Rage." He whispered and pointed up.

Sure enough, Rage was standing right there. Just above us. I hope she doesn't sense us.

"Happy, Brave, Passion! Come on! We need to find Timid! Trigon wants Raven as his own. I'm going to do that from the inside out." She said maliciously.

Now I'm scared. Timid jerked and gave me a look that said, "Your scared". I nodded.

I pointed to the direction that Rage came from. We flew over there and we were far enough away where we could talk normally.

"We need a plan so I can talk with Rage." I said. "Robin...got any ideas?" I can't think of any good plans.

"Well, Timid could distract Happy, Passion, and Brave, while Raven and I go talk to Rage."

"By myself?" Timid looked worried.
"Robin, Timid doesn't like doing things by herself." I pointed out.
"Well she is a part of you isn't she? I think she'll be fine." I looked at Timid.

"Alright Robin. Timid, go up to them. I'll hold Robin. When you run away Robin and I will go up."

"O-okay." She faded into the ground and I saw her emerge from the ground in front of my 3 emoticlones. They exchanged some words, and then they run off chasing Timid. I hope she will be okay. We're going up.

I did the same as Timid did and appeared in front of Rage.

"Hello Rage." I said.
"Hello Raven." She smirked.

Timid's POV:

Arg! They are chasing me. I don't want to fight. But-but Raven never said I had to.

I kept dodging them by appearing and disappearing and reappearing in different palaces.

I hope Raven is quick. I can't do this forever.

Raven's POV:

"What are you doing Rage?" I asked.
"Trigon wants me to leave at his disposal by destroying you from the inside out. Once I do that. Any feeling will lead to me. And the next time Demon Raven comes out, that will be the last time." She said and laughed.

.... IT WAS BAD ENOUGH WHEN I COULDN'T FEEL CRAP! Now if I do I'll get so angry that I'll be a complete Demon!

Robin can tell I'm mad.
"Raven, calm down." I took a deep breath.
"See, the plan is working." Rage said with a smirk.

"Earlier Raven said she saw a red flash and when she did she fell out of the sick and her powers wouldn't work." Robin said.
"Oh that. Yes. Trigon is trying to make you powerless before he makes you powerful."

"Rage, just leave the others alone." I said.
"Make me." Then she grew into Trigon.
"Raven, is that the real-"
"No. But he's just as dangerous."

Robin and I got battle ready.

"Rage shall consume you!" He said. Robin went right at him. Good, he can distract him.

With Trigon, blunt force won't do crap. You have to be skillful, and smart about it.

I flew up to behind his head and covered his eyes with my magic and tried pulling him towards the cliff.

"Robin! The Boulder!"
"Right!" He gave me a thumbs up and ran towards a preciously perched boulder. He used his staff as a jack to move it and make it roll  towards Trigon's feet...hooves...whatever.

It rolled right over them. He stumbled back and fell over the cliff.

And before he could get up I lifted a massive piece of rock.

"Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"  I lifted it about 3 or four stories of him, and just let it go.

The Trigon turned back into Rage, who was knocked out.

"Um...Raven? Did you just kill her?"
"No. You can't kill emotions from the inside. I wish it was that easy though. C'mon let's go find Timid."

"Hi." oh my god!
"Ahh!" Robin and I screamed. Timid appeared behind us.
"Aww jeez Timid. You do that every time I come in here."
"You should get her a bell." Robin joked. Hmm...maybe.

"We're going to leave now Timid. Go somewhere safe and please try to stay hidden." I warned.

"Okay. Bye." And she disappeared.

~~~~~~~~
"This is bad Raven." Robin said. I was staring out the window.
"What's going to happen to you?"
"I have no idea. But what am I supposed to do? Happy and Brave? I 'use' those when I'm hanging out with you all (sometimes) and fighting."
"We can sedate you."
"Please no. I guess I will just stay home whenever you all go out."
"Well, I'm going to go to bed. See you tomorrow Raven..." I waved goodbye and locked my door.
Sigh. I can't do anything. If I turn demon again that will be the end of it.
I guess I'll have to sleep on it. I'm too tired to think.
~~~~~~~~

I take it back.

I check the clock. 2:14. I've been awake all day. I'm just laying in the bed. Staring at the ceiling. I glanced at my mirror, then back at the ceiling.

I want to go to sleep really badly, but my brain won't go to sleep.

Alright that's it. I'm getting up. I'll just grab a book and sit on the couch. I don't want to be locked up in my room all day. Even if I can hang out with the others.

I grabbed a random book from one my shelves and headed for the door. But then,

"Stop." A voice said. What the-?!
"Who's there?" I asked.
"You know who I am." I haven't heard this guy's voice before.
"No I haven't. I don't recognize your voice." I can't sense who this guy is either.

"Yes. You do know who I am Raven."
"What do you want?"
"Where did you plan on going?" He asked.
"I'm not going to tell you anything."
"Hmm. You were going to the living room."
"How did you know that?"
"Let's just call it a talent. Now you are going to put down the book, and quickly, and quietly go down to the basement." He commanded.
"I am not...going...to..." I trailed off. "Uh...okay." This guy is able to control my motions and speech. The only free will I have at the moment is to think. And that's limited too.

I did just what he told me. When I got out of my room, I tiptoed down the hall to get to the stair well to avoid waking Cyborg up from his alarm. I walked down the stairs and when I got to the basement, I tried to turn on the light, but nothing happened. Great.

"The lights don't work." I said.
"Just keep going Raven and stop talking." I followed his directions unwillingly. Now his voice sounds a little familiar.

"Stop." He told me. I stopped. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see what it was.

"Hello Raven. Miss me?" He said. It's...Malchior.

"Malchior...how...how did you get back?" Herald sent you to another dimension."

"True. But I had some help." Trigon...
"Yes Trigon." What?! "Telepathy. You're not the only one with it."

"He gave you the power to control me didn't he?"

"You're just as smart as I left you."
"Why did you team up with my father?" can feel tears welling up in my eyes, but I managed to keep a straight face. I sniffed.

"For the same reason I teamed up with the brotherhood of evil. Revenge and my own satisfaction."

"Why am I down here?" It took him a long time to answer.

"Your Timidity is strong. She has evaded your Rage. But Rage will get her eventually. I am here, to make her more vulnerable." Why am I getting so upset about a mummy that can talk?

Ugh...who am I kidding.

"Okay then. Now let me go." I said with a slightly quivering lip, but I was still keeping a straight face.

"I think I've done enough. For now. Goodbye Raven." He snapped his fingers and I automatically fell to the floor. My limbs became spaghetti. That was pinned down. Luckily the gem on my cloak doubles as a communicator.

"Raven calling anyone. *Yawn* Raven calling anyone." No answer. "Raven calling anyone! Raven calling anyone!"'I became distressed.

Nobody comes down here all too often. And I'm always in my room half the time anyways. I don't even know if my limbs will stay like this.

"Ahh!" I yelled. I strained. I've got a massive headache.

"Sloth." Rage got sloth. Granted, I can't really be messy anymore, but that means Rage is that much closer.

Rage is trying to coax Timid out of hiding.

Sleep. I just want some sleep. That's all I want right now. I don't care when I wake up. I just want to sleep. Sleep is a beautiful thing.

Most of the time it is at least.
