Robin's POV:
Raven came out of her room today, but didn't speak. She made her tea, and sat down right in the middle of us without saying a word.
It's really uncomfortable. We all are uncomfortable, except (seemingly) Raven. We had the TV on the news and she just watched and listened.
"Um, Hi Raven." Beast Boy tried to break the ice.
"Hello." She said. Well it sort of worked.
"Friend Raven will you be joining us in the park at the o's of the clock in the afternoon around 3?" Star asked.
"Sure." Raven answered and continued watching the news. Nobody said anything. Raven just stared blankly at the screen. I looked closer (with my eyes) at her face. She had lines in between her eyebrows. She's slightly straining about something. But they she's good at hiding stuff like that.
I won't say anything about it unless she does. I don't want to make her angry. For multiple reasons.
"Well, it's time for the T-Car's weekly check again. You want to help me Raven?" Cyborg asked. Raven looked at him and then darted her eyes away from him, but he head was still facing him.
"No." She said plainly. Then she turned back to the TV.
"No?! Alright Raven! The jig is up! You always want to help with the T-Car. What's the problem?" Cyborg burst out.
"Cy-" I dragged out but Raven cut me off.
"I just don't want to."
Cyborg looks sad now.
"Are you sure Raven? Last chance!" He threatened. Raven didn't even say anything this time. She just stared blankly at her tea cup. Then the crime alarm went off.
"It's Cinderblock." I said. "He's literally tearing up the road near the train station."
"Does this guy have anything better to do?" Beast Boy asked. I ignored him.
"Titans GO!" We all rushed out...including Raven. "Hey Raven, are you sure you want to go?" She just nodded and headed out the door. I followed suit.
When we got there he wasn't just destroying the streets, he was eating them. What does he not have anything to do on a Saturday?
"Dude! That's worse than Cy's meat! Was brunch not enough for him? There are better foods Bro!" Beast boy yelled at Cinderblock which got his attention. He ran at us and we all split up.
"Beast Boy! Go!" I yelled. He turned into a mouse and jumped on Cinderblock and ran all around his body. As he tried to grab him I threw flash disks at him, temporarily blurring up his vision.
Then Star threw a barrage of starbolts at him. When the smoke cleared...he's still standing there.
Beast Boy changed back into a human.
"I know this guy is made of rock but he wasn't this tough before." Beast Boy stated.
"My turn." Raven said. She flew up to him. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" She enclosed him in a sphere made of her dark energy.
He's getting smaller. And smaller, and smaller...Now he looks like a rock. He is a rock!
Raven condensed him into a little pebble. Since when can she do that?!
"...what just happened?" Cyborg asked.
"Friends, the Cinderblock is...a pebble?"
"Since when can Raven do that? Since when can you do that?!" Beast Boy asked. Raven had her back to us. She looked at her hands.
"I don't know..." She said. Then she just flew away. I walked over and picked "Cinderblock" and stuck him in my pocket.
"Okay...we all know it. So I'm just going to say it. Raven's been acting really weird...er than normal." Beast Boy pointed out.
"No kidding. Something is defiantly wrong." Cyborg said.
"Friends, should we not go home and confront Raven?"
"As much as I would like that Star, we can't all do it at once. It should just be one person." Cyborg said.
"I'll go." I said. "And no eavesdropping."
"How do you guys know she even went home?" Beast Boy asked.
"Do you know any other place she would have gone?" I asked. He shook his head. "That's what I thought. Star." I reached my arm out and she picked me up. Cyborg jumped on beast boy who turned into an elephant.
When we reached the water Beast boy turned into a whale and Star dropped me on his back and she did the same.
We got to the shore and Cyborg punched in the code. The door buzzed. Nothing.
"Raven locked us out. She put some sort of spell on it." Cyborg said in an empty tone.
"Why would she do that?" Star asked.
"To keep us out. Let's try the roof." I pointed to the roof. Star carried me up and Cyborg rode on pterodactyl-beast Boy's back. When we got there I tried the door. It bounced me back.
"Robin! Are you okay?"
"I'm fine Star." I walked over to the general area in which I think Raven's room is on the roof. I started banging on the floor. "Raven! Let us in!!"
"Yeah! We just want to get into the house and talk!" Beast Boy chimed in.
A shock wave threw us back and onto out butts. Then a dark image of Raven came from the floor.
"Raven?" I asked. She didn't have a mouth.
"No, this is my soul self. I'm not actually coming out. Now what do you want? And make it quick. I can't stay separated for very long." It was kind of creepy having her speak without a mouth.
"What was with this?" I pulled "Cinderblock" out of my pocket.
She stood firm.
"Like I said I don't know." She looked up. "I've got time for one more question. And make it quick." She said firmly.
"Um I have one. What was with you today? Not wanting to help me with the T-Car, something is wrong." Cyborg said. Raven looked up again.
"I'm gone." She answered. Then she sank back into the floor.
"What does that mean?" Beast Boy asked.
"Robin?" Star asked.
I know exactly what it means.
"It means Rage got every one of them. There is very little of Raven left. She is basically straining to make sure she doesn't explode."
"Mentally or physically?" Cy asked.
"...Both."
~~~~~~
We tried all day to get into the house.
Star blasted the tower with her starbolts and her eye beams, I threw all of my gadgets at the Tower, Cyborg fired missiles and his sonic canons at it, and Beast Boy turned into too many animals to count. All attacks either bounced off, back at us, or just plain exploded. We finally gave up when the sun started going down.
"Ugh...I'm so tired...does this mean we have to sleep out here tonight?" Beast Boy asked.
"I guess so." I answered. That wouldn't be so bad, if it wasn't the middle of the fall. It gets cold here at night. Star would be fine, beast boy can turn into an animal that's used to the cold, but me and Cy? Are going to have to find another way.
"Robin, what are we going to do? We're not immune to the cold and can't turn into animals." It's like he read my mind.
"I have no idea. Wait, do you have a heating system?" I asked.
"No, but I could try to modify my fan." He started fiddling with his fan.
"I'm going to get us dinner." Beast Boy said.
"What?" Before any of us could ask what he was talking about, he turned into a shark.
He came back and spit out a couple headless fish and seaweed. Star screamed so loud I think my eardrums burst.
"Dinner! Now all we have to do is make a fire cook it!" He said.
"Oh! Okay. Good thinking BB. I'll get started with the rotating thing." Cyborg said.
"I believe it is called a 'rotisserie'." Star said.
"Right..."
"May I get started on the fire?" Star asked.
"Sure." I answered. Then she zoomed around town and came back with a pile of sticks.
"Will this be sufficient friends?" She asked with a big smile.
"Uh...yeah! That's just enough!" Cy said. There was a lot more than just enough.
Those two worked on dinner and Beast Boy and I are sitting off to the side.
"Robin. Do you think Raven is going to be okay?" He asked.
"You want the truth or what you want to hear?" I asked. He thought about it.
"The truth."
"If it's bad enough that she locked us out. It'll be worse before it gets better." I still didn't answer his question.
"But do you think she's gonna be okay?" He repeated.
"Yeah." I answered. I have total confidence in my answer. ........
"Yo! Who wants salmon?!" Cyborg laughed. Beast boy laughed and ran over.
"Wait? Where's my seaweed?"
"You can cook that?! I thought you got it by accident and I threw it back."
"Ugh!!" Beast boy groaned and went back to catch his own dinner.
~~~~~~~~~~~
About an hour after we finished eating Beast Boy passed out. Star fell asleep on my lap.
"Cy, did you get that heating system done?"
"Sort of. This is the best I could do." He deployed his heating system and it worked. His whole body heated up and gave off a warm comforting heat. Probably around 76 degrees, which is what we had the thermostat at in the Tower. Then he fell asleep. Now there was just a pile of sleeping teens. Except for me. I stayed awake for about 3 or 4 hours after dinner. Then I finally fell out.
~~~~~~
Wake up. Wake up! WAKE UP!!
I shot my eyes open and shot upright. I looked at the horizon. The sun is just starting to peak over the horizon. I wonder if Raven is up yet. Something tells me I should try the door again.
I punch in the code, and the door opens! Raven must still be sleeping. She can't concentrate on keeping the shield up if she's asleep. I let the door quietly close and go get the others.
"Guys! Wake up! Raven's asleep and the spell wore off." I whispered. I don't know why I'm whispering.
"Wha...?" Beast boy said drowsily.
"Really?" Star asked.
"C'mon guys stop talking and let's go! I don't want to be outside all day too!" Cyborg pushed.
We all ran into the tower and waited for the door to close.
"You think Raven will know we're here?" Cyborg asked.
"Probably. She's probably more powerful now than ever." I answered.
"What do you think she's going to say?" Beast Boy asked.
"I'm going to ask why you came in." Raven just appeared right in front of us. Her real self, not her soul self.
"Because we wanted to come into our own house Raven. You can't keep us out forever." I said.
"I can and I will." She said. She opened the door with her powers and pushed us back with them, but we didn't fly out of the door.
She's picking a fight, on purpose. The others know this. I can tell. We all looked at each other like, what are we supposed to do?
"What? You four don't want to have a little fight?" She said with a devious smile.
"What do we do Robin?" Star asked.
"She's not herself anymore guys. Go for it until she snaps out of it." I said. "Titans GO!"
We all went towards her at once. She jumped away from all of our attacks. Then she captured all of us inside of a dark bubble.
"Theh.. Too easy." Raven said.
"Everybody close your eyes!"I yelled. They all did and I threw a flash bomb inside the bubble.
"Wha-ahh! I can't see!" Raven's attention, and concentration, as diverted, so she dropped the bubble.
"Let's do this all at once and make it quick." I said. I jumped in the air staff in hand, Star had her starbolts ready, and Cy had his cannon ready, and beast boy ran at her as a T-Rex.
"Go!" I basked her with my staff, Cyborg and Star fired and Beast boy got her good in the stomach with his tail. She tumbled back and landed hard on the door back first. She slid down and sat there. Her head was down and her hair was covering her face. We all stood from, not knowing what to expect.
She lifted her head up.
"Thanks..." She said. We all dropped out battle stance and Star ran over to hug her.
"Alright Star you can let me go now." She let her go.
"What happened?" I asked.
"It's been a week. The girl with you here is barely here." She stopped. "Sorry I locked you out." She said with no emotion. But we know what she means. "Bye."
Then she walked out.
"This won't be good." Nobody contradicted Beast Boy. We were all thinking it, he just said it out loud. As usual.
