The white light slowly faded away and left me standing in a dark forest. The same crimson leaved trees surrounded me as in my dream. Looking around, I felt things rushing back to me. Memories, emotions, pains, everything that had slipped away over the last week. It was overwhelming. I knew there was barely any time left though, and I pulled through.

With my newly regained memories, I found that I recognised my surroundings. I started the walk towards Card Castle, but I quickly froze. A tremor ran through the ground, and the trees around flickered in and out of view. But that was nothing compared to the throbbing pain that shook me to my bones. It only lasted a few seconds, but throbbing remained in my head, clouding my thoughts.

I continued on my way despite the pain. If all went well, I'd meet Ralsei at the castle and he could help me. I had no other plan if I didn't. As I walked, I found myself zoning out. It was strangely quiet here, much more than usual. I got so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even realize when I walked directly into a door.

This was certainly new. I had used these door warps before, but there was never a door here before. I had no clue where it would lead. But I didn't have much time. I decided to take the risk. I opened the door and walked through.

Extremely conveniently, the door opened up to the long path leading up to the castle. Another tremor shook the ground, and the throbbing was amplified. I turned around, and the door had disappeared. Returning to my walk, I approached the looming Card Castle.

"Kris?"

I whipped my head around. Lancer dropped the misshapen berries in his hands. He ran towards me and jumped into my arms, hugging me tight.

"Kris! Kris! I told him you'd come back! He said I was being foolish, but I knew you'd come!" he exclaimed, tears falling from beneath the shadow of his hood.

"Lancer! Where is Ralsei?" I asked, overjoyed to see him.

"He's looking for berries. Susie is..." Lancer's voice trailed off.

"What? What's wrong with her?"

"She's... Not doing so well... We're trying out best, but... We're not sure how much longer she'll last."

"Lancer, we need to find Ralsei now."

"I understand. Come on, I'll help you find him."
