Kris

I returned to class with a nauseating hatred burning inside me and a bitter taste in the back of my throat. Everyone looked at me warily when they realized that Noelle hadn't come back with me.

"Alright shits, get your garbage together and-" Miss Alphys was interrupted by the classroom phone ringing. She cussed to herself and picked up. "Hello? Yes, if course. Sure. Uh huh, yeah. Sure, they'll be right down. Thanks, bye." she hung up. I was a little surprised at how respectful she was on the phone. "Barney and new kid I haven't bothered to learn's name, you're wanted in the office." Around us, kids looked at me anxiously. Susie and I exchanged confused glances before shuffling out the door.

"Look, I'm really sorry about what I did yesterday. I don't know what came on me, but it was unforgivable," Susie said as we headed down the hall.

"It's fine... It just brought back some memories that I wasn't prepared to remember yet." Susie mumbled something I couldn't make out.

"What was that?"

"N-nothing, it's stupid. Just-" She sighed. "It's better to remember than to forget."

I paused and pondered that. "Yeah, you're right. It is better to remember, even if it hurts." She nodded, and we continued on silence.

When we entered the office, the Secretary waved to get our attention. "Hey kiddos! There's someone in that room over there who wants to talk to you." She motioned to a closed door with the window covered. It looked pretty sketchy, but we went in anyway.

I pushed the door open a crack and pushed myself through. Before me I saw a desk, and behind that, a big black office chair facing a window. Suddenly, the door snapped shut behind us, causing us to jump. A small skeletal hand cloaked in a blue aura raised from behind the chair. With the flick of two fingers, the blinds too snapped shut. The office chair turned towards us, but I didn't see anyone sitting there.

"heya," a voice called up at me. I looked down and saw a small, round skeleton slumped down in the chair, his little pinprick pupils staring up at us. He wore a bright, wide smile and a blue sweatshirt.

"the name's sans, sans undertale. professional napper and procrastinator, and multiverse enthusiast." He held out two bony hands for Susie and I to shake. We reached out, and an electric shock ran through our bones in unison. The small skeleton chuckled and revealed a hand buzzer in each hand.

"i'm also a comedian."
