(Sapphire's POV)

After I finished crying, I made sure I looked fine. I don't wanna show my emotion even to my family. I thought about it and I guess I should do some certain things to get him to know!

I went downstairs to eat breakfast. I ate pretty fast and then went out to Ruby's house. I then knock on the door and wait for an answer.

"Oh, Sapphire," Ruby's Mom said when she saw who it was at the door, "I suppose you're looking for Ruby?"

"Yeah, can you tell me where he is?" I ask.

"I think he went to Petalburg Woods. He was looking for you!" 

He was? Ruby was looking for me?

"Alright," I say, "thanks!"

I then walk to Petalburg Woods.

When I get there, I find Ruby up in the tree he usually finds me in.

"Ah, Sapphire," He says, "there you are. I thought you sometimes come here and just hang out here for a while."

"Pfft," I spat, "can ya get down from there?"

"Well, considering I'm already dirty so might as well."

He jumps down from the tree.

"Hey, ya could've broken a bone!" I say.

"You never worried about me!" He says, making eye contact with me.

"I just didn't want to bring a broken boned boy back to his house! So, why were you looking for me?"

"I just wanted to tell you that I'll be away for about a day because there's this special contest happening! It's in Verdanturf Town. I'm leaving right now. Luckily, I brought some extra clothes."

"Oh!" I say.

"So, why were you looking for me?" He says asking the same question.

"I wanted to be with you for a little bit!" I say.

My 1st step to getting him to know is ruined. I was going to spend the whole day with him but it's messed up by some stupid contest.

"Oh? Well, sorry Sapphire!" He says.

He starts walking away. I quickly text Dad saying I'm going to Ruby's contest!

"Wait, Ruby!" I say, running up to him. He looks back at me, "Can I come?" 

"You want to come to my contest?" He says, "Sapph, is everything okay at home?"

"Yeah, everything's fine. I just want to come with you!"

"Yes! Alright, let's go!"

We head our way to Verdanturf Town. Argh, hopefully this contest is special!
