(Sapphire's POV)

Ruby better notice. This all better be worth it.

"I already asked," Ruby says, all of a sudden, "but are you sure you're okay?"

"Yeah." I reply.

"But why of all places do you want to come see my contest?" 

"Can't someone be with their best friend?" I ask.

He just looks up for the rest of the walk.

(TIME SKIP GETTING TO VERDANTURF TOWN)

We get to Verdanturf Town. Ruby wants to go over their contest performance 1 more time. I decide to go with him because 1. There's nothing to do, 2. I'm trying to show my feelings!

"Is it me," Ruby says, "or do you seem different?"

"I don't know what you mean!" I respond.

"You seem like that little girl you once were. You used to love contests, hate battling! Is that coming back to you?" 

"N-no!" I stutter.

(TIME SKIP TO CONTEST)

It was time for the contest and Ruby let me go back stage with him.

Then my heart rate went faster when I saw Ruby talking to Marge, apart of Team Magma. Oh no! What if...Ruby likes her?!
