Everyone is waiting by Dane's bedside. They are so worried even though the doctor already told them that he already had passed the critical stage.

Everyone is looking at him with so much worry. The doctor already said they don't know the accident's impact on Dane's Body until he wakes up. His body was full of bruises and cuts.

The doctor had to operate on his head to relieve the pressure from his brain. Thankfully, the driver who hit Dane was fast enough to help and rescue him if he didn't. They can only imagine the worst.

The doctor was positive enough to assure them that Dane was now out of danger. They just need to wait for him to wake up to know the full extent of his injuries.

Dane's parents are just sitting by the left side of the bed, holding his hands waiting for him to wake up. Dane's mom can't help but still cry while looking at his helpless son lying on a bed full of injuries.

Ever since Dane was a kid, she was so protective and caring over him, so seeing him be like this, she feels like she was a failure of being a mother to him. She feels so useless that she can't do anything to help her son! His father was also devastated looking at the current state of his beloved son, he may not be that vocal, just like her wife, but his love for him is beyond measure.

It hurts to see his only son be like this, and he couldn't do anything to avoid or stop it from happening. Both of them haven't slept at all for a day, but they don't mind it because all they can think about is their son and his safety. They want to see him the moment he wakes up.

On the other side, Gavin was sitting on the right side of his wife's bed. He is so quiet again, but deep inside, he keeps on chanting in his mind for his wife to "Please wake up!"

He is so dried up already from all the crying that he did on the altar, which is very shocking for him to do. Gavin never believes in God or anyone with a higher power. He is very skeptical about this matter, but at that moment, he is so desperate, and he doesn't know where to ask for help anymore; he chooses to do something he never believes in at first.

He can't do anything to prevent it from happening. He couldn't save his Dane. He blames himself so much for all that is happening to his wife right now.

He has no idea why Dane left that house. He is trying too hard to think of any reason Dane will step out of the house, but he can't. He couldn't remember or think of anything.

Gavin was busy caressing his wife's face while holding Dane's hand firmly. He doesn't want to let go. He never wants to let it go because he fears Dane might not feel his presence or Dane will choose to slip away.

"Baby? Are you sure you don't want to go home first to change clothes or even take a shower? You have been here in the hospital for 24 hours already, and you never left. If you want, your dad and I will stay here with your in-laws to care for Dane. I'm sure!" Gavin's mom was talking, but Gavin didn't let her finish.

"I'm okay, mom! I want to be here! I will never abandon my wife again. I made that mistake already for sleeping so soundly without realizing that my wife is already gone and has been in an accident. I will never make that horrible mistake again! I will never leave his side ever again!" Gavin firmly said while still looking at his wife. He never once left his gaze on his wife.

"But son..." Gavin's mom was about to speak again, but her husband stopped her.

"Hon, you can never change his mind anymore. We have to understand our son. It's okay, son! We will not ask you again, but please try to eat something. You haven't eaten any food since yesterday! You don't want to collapse. I'm sure Dane will never like it if you get sick because of him. He loves you too much to make you suffer because of him." Gavin's dad said, trying to convince his son to listen to him

Gavin just remained silent, then nodded. His parent smiles a little after seeing their son finally agrees. They immediately go outside to buy food for him

Gavin, Dane's parent, was the only one remaining inside Dane's room.

"I'm sorry for what I said earlier, Gavin! I didn't mean to blame you for what happened to our son. I'm sure you are also devastated like us. I didn't mean to add on your burden or problem. I'm just really anxious for my son. I hope you forgive me." Gavin's mom suddenly said to her son-in-law. Gavin immediately looks at her.

"I don't blame you for blaming me for what happened to Dane because I'm too! I'm blaming myself for being useless. I wasn't able to save him, mom! I didn't get to avoid all of this from happening. I should have been there that moment! I should have..." Gavin wasn't able to finish his word because his mother in law immediately stood on her chair and went to his Son-in-Law

"Please don't blame yourself, son! It wasn't your fault! No one wants this from happening. It is just an accident. We may never know why did this happen. Maybe when Dane finally wakes up, he can tell us why he went outside in the middle of the night, but please! Never blame yourself. I don't want you torturing yourself with what if! Dane will never like it. I know how much my son loves you! We may not be that close, but I know how much you made my son so happy instead of angry. I'm thankful to you for coming into my son's life! You have no idea how happy he was when he met you! You made a huge impact on him that even I, his mother, was so thankful to you! Thank you for loving my son!" Dane's mom sincerely said to Gavin, then pulled him into a tight hug. They let go.

"Mom, it's me who should be thankful to Dane for coming into my life. You have no idea how much of a douchebag I am before meeting him. My life has no direction at all but upon meeting him! Everything seems to be in place and has a reason. I didn't know that I could love someone like how I love Dane, but I did! I fell the hell in love with him! He is my life now, so if he..." Gavin couldn't finish his world anymore. He could say the words, those words that if it comes true, It will break his life into million pieces. Dane's mom just pulled the man into a tight hug to try and calm him down

"Ah~! don't worry, son! I know my son! He will never let the people he loves suffer so much. He loves and cares about us too much! He will come back to us! You're just starting your life as a husband and wife. I'm sure my son will never let it all end just like this. He will come back to us. He will come back to you! I'm sure of it. He will!" Dane's mom firmly said while hugging Gavin.

After a while, Gavin finally calms down. Dane's mom comes back to Dane's bedside.

They were all anxiously waiting until Gavin suddenly felt a sudden movement from Dane's hands, he thought he was hallucinations at first, but then he felt it again. He immediately stood and went near Dane's face.

"Love? Love?" Gavin worriedly tried to call on Dane.

Dane's parents immediately stand from their sit and look at Dane

"Why?" Dane's dad worriedly asked Gavin

"He moves his hand's dad! He moved it! I felt it!" Gavin excitedly said

"Are you sure?" Dane's mom asked this time

"Yes, mom! I'm positive! I felt it!" Gavin said to his mom, then he tried to hold his wife's hands again and tried to call on him again

"Dane? Love? Are you awake? Please love! Please open your eyes! Please! If you're awake, please grip on my hand again!" Gavin asked his husband. He tried to lift Danes hands that were holding his hand. He waited and waited for Dane to do some movement again.

"Love, please! Hold into my hand again that was holding you! Please, baby!" Gavin repeatedly asked Dane.

But a few minutes had passed already, still no
Movement from Dane was noticed. This time, they were all disappointed and thought that Gavin was hallucinating.

"Son, I think you are just..." Dane's dad was about to speak when they suddenly witnessed a seem to be a miracle

Dane's fingers move again.

"Oh! God! Baby!" Dane's mom can't help but exclaim because of happiness while witnessing her son finally waking up.

Dane started to move his eyelid, signaling that he was about to wake up.

"Oh! Love! Love! You're awake!" Gavin exclaimed as he went near his wife more. More like he was hugging him.

"Hon! Please call in the doctor!" Dane's mom asked his husband, which he immediately followed. Dane's dad hastily runs outside to call on his son's doctor and nurse.

Gavin moved a little away to see his wife. Blurry, but Dane started to see his surrounding.

"Love! How are you feeling? Are you feeling a little pain? Please tell me!" Gavin worriedly asked his wife

"Baby! Thank God! You're finally awake! How is my baby? Any pain? You scared us, baby!" Dane's mom, worried, said to her son

"Where am I, mom? Why are you here?" Groggy, but Dane still manage to ask a few questions.

"You're in the hospital, baby! You got into an accident! Don't you remember?" Dane's mom said to her son

Dane shook his head a little. He doesn't remember what happened. Then a man suddenly hugs him, which makes him more confused.

"Love! I'm so happy that you are awake! I thought I lost you? Please don't leave me ever again. Love! Please don't do this again! I can never imagine my life without you!" Gavin, on the verge of crying, said to his husband as he let go of him. Gavin was so happy, but it was cut off when he saw the expression on his husband's face.

"Why love? Is there something wrong?" Gavin was so worried, waiting for his husband's answer to his question but what he got immediately broke his heart into a million pieces.

"Who are you, and why are you hugging me like this? Sorry, but I don't seem to know you?" Dane confusedly asked Gavin
