❅ 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏: 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏

"They're five minutes late and still counting," Glancing at her Burberry gold watch wrapped around her slim wrist, Yeeun sighs. "Dad, I have a thing to go to after lunch."

"With Eunbin noona?" Jeno perks up from his sparkling water, previously staring at the bubbles in the liquid through the transparent glass.

His elder sister immediately squeaks and snaps her head to him, eyes widening to give him a warning look accompanied by a small grunt.

They glance at their parents, the two adults chuckling at his kids. "Who's this Eunbin girl I'm hearing about?" Their mom asks in a teasing manner.

"No one!" Yeeun clears her throat and glances at her gold watch once again, "if the Nakamoto family won't be he–"

"Hey, everyone! Good afternoon, sorry we're late." A breathless voice frantically speaks as the Lee family turns to see the awaited guests.

Mark runs a hand through his locks of hair, trying to soften out the messy parts while Jaemin behind him stands straight; hands in his pockets with a bored expression.

Yuta shakes Mr. Lee's hand as the latter then introduces his little family one by one, not forgetting to smile while gesturing them. "This is my wife, Haeun."

"Pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Lee." Yuta politely takes his hand out, the said woman kindly accepts it to shake.

"The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Nakamoto." She smiles, the vibe giving off the same as her husband; warm and kind, yet her eyes are still intimidating.

"These are our children," Lee then moves on to his two kids who have stood up to formally greet the Nakamoto family.

Gesturing a hand to his eldest first, "this is Yeeun, our daughter. I believe she's the same age as your son." Glancing at Jaemin as he spoke.

Jaemin eyes Mr. Lee's daughter intently, she's the same as the picture Johnny showed them. Especially with the fierce look he's getting in return, he almost smirks.

But then Mr. Lee snaps him out of his thoughts, bringing him back to reality as he gestures to his second and youngest child next.

"And finally, this is our son, Jeno. He's a year younger than Yeeun and your son," the said blond haired boy smiles in the sweetest way the Nakamoto family has ever seen.

Sure they have seen a lot, their peer Shotaro for example– but for someone outside their circle, this son of Mr. Lee is on top of the list.

Eyes crinkling into crescent moons, cheekbones high up with his lips curling like a cat's. He's like that cartoon character Yuta saw one time.

"Oh and this is my husband, Mark," Yuta snakes an arm around the said boy's shoulder blades, "and our only child, Jaemin." Glancing at the latter.

The first one to speak up was Jeno, "hi! nice to meet you!" Yeeun beside him silently nods, still a bit wary of the small family of three.

Yuta shakes their hands first, Mark next and soon followed by a reluctant Jaemin murmuring his greeting.

"Well, let's get started, shall we?" Mrs. Lee, Haeun, smiles and gestures for them to take a seat.

"Oh yes please, I'm starving." Mark winces when he feels a nudge on his side. "I'm being honest," hissing at Yuta with a small glare.

Luckily, they didn't get any weird looks from the Lee family. Just an eye roll from Jaemin behind them.

"So, about the agreement..." Yuta hesitates to ask– just an act, by the way. He, along with the other two, are impatient, but they have to be careful of how they approach.

They assume if they act too confident and ask Mr. Lee straightforwardly, they wouldn't sound too good since they're begging for help.

Or what Mark called it earlier back in their temporary house, "desperate and greedy bitches." Which is obvious enough.

Mr. Lee looks up from his dessert, swallowing his food as he slightly points at Yuta with his small fork. "Ah, yes, of course."

Pausing when Haeun leans in to gently wipe the corner of his mouth with a table napkin, mumbling a soft "thank you" afterwards.

Turning back to Yuta to focus on the main point of this meet up, Mr. Lee hums. "Well, I've spoke to the kids about it, and they hesitated."

"Oh, that's understandable, Sir Lee." Mark spoke up with a kind smile, "this is sort of new, for us atleast. A little old schooled, for you maybe?" Joking at the end.

He gets a laugh from Mr. and Mrs. Lee, "maybe." Haeun giggles with a small wink.

Smiling tightly, Mark wants to excuse himself and take a break from stretching his lips so widely almost every second.

Meanwhile, a little bit unfair for Mark, Jaemin beside him doesn't react much. He doesn't hide the way he's clearly bored right now, not paying too much attention but at the same time, he is.

However, he starts tuning in even more when Mr. Lee continues, "I gave them time to decide, after all, they're my children." Words genuine as he shares his usual sweet smile to his kids.

Yuta nods in agreement, "I hope they didn't feel too pressured or anything, even now." Eyeing Mr. Lee's children as well, "your decisions are valid. Okay?"

Yeeun smiles at him, although not too much compared to her other family members, it works. She still must be feeling careful with them.

"At first we did, since we've encountered some not-so nice business partners arranging the same thing," she shares about in all honesty.

Mr. Lee sips on his cola, "but we have your answer, Nakamoto family."

The said "family" waits in anticipation, almost on the edge of their seats as Haeun announces for them.

"Our son, Lee Jeno, has accepted this arrangement."

Hearing that, Jaemin almost ruined their lunch if it weren't for Mark grinning widely. "That's nice to hear!"

"But are you sure he wants to?" Yuta and Mark inwardly facepalm when Jaemin decides to speak up.

The Lee family snap their heads towards him, a little flustered that he spoke up as he wasn't too talkative today.

"My apologies if I sounded rude," Jaemin said. "But I want to clarify things before we get too ahead of ourselves."

Yeeun answers him this time, "don't fret, Jaemin-ssi. My brother has thought about it hard enough and was very sure of his answer." Tone stern.

She looks at him almost a bit too sassily, but the trio guesses that's just how she is on first impressions.

Glancing over to Jeno, the blond haired boy smiles at them again. Although, this time, his cheeks were painted with the color pink.

Gritting his teeth, Jaemin smiles tightly at his new lover, "that's... That's great. Very great." Mumbling the last part so harshly.

Fortunately for them, the Lee family were oblivious and just cheered happily. Jeno couldn't take his eyes off his future husband now.
