It was at the auditorium where Jaemin gets a surprise visit from none other than, Jeno.

He was called to come and help with a few things there: cleaning, rearranging, and etcetera. And it was just great timing he was in a good mood to be mister nice guy.

Working with decent people was a bonus as well. None of them bothered him if he's being honest. Sure there were those who fooled around, but they don't drag Jaemin in to their shenanigans.

It was a good day. He doesn't get that a lot.

He wasn't in a bad mood even since this morning– only because both Yuta and Mark left early for something.

Which was really saving his sanity after several weeks.

The day got even better (somehow) when Jeno runs in, eyes scanning the huge room before they crinkle into crescent moons when they set on Jaemin.

Carefully walking over to him, excusing himself as he almost gets pushed when two boys were chasing each other instead of doing their tasks.

"Hi!" Jaemin couldn't help but smile at the beaming boy in front of him. "Uh, do you have a minute?" Glancing at the teacher in charge who's giving instructions.

"Kind of having a break," Jaemin replies with a heavy exhale following after. "Why?"

"Yeeun noona wanted to ask if you were up for a double date." Jeno doesn't hesitate to say, and it is very clear he is already excited for it even though Jaemin hasn't answered him yet.

"Double date... Now? After school?" Jaemin asks, pointing down on the ground as he emphasizes.

Nodding enthusiastically, Jeno takes his hand and squeezes it showing off how excited he truly is. "Yeah!"

But soon, the sparkle in his eyes start to fade as a frown appears on his lips replacing his usual sweet smile. "Unless you're busy... Which is totally fine, we can reschedule, hyung!"

In other circumstances, Jaemin would've took that offer and brutally tell the person that he isn't interested on that dumb idea.

But seeing Jeno like this again, supposedly a rare sight, it pulls some strings on Jaemin's heart. "I'm not busy." He quickly states.

Jeno peers up through his long lashes, blinking furiously as if the Jaemin in front of him isn't real. "Are you sure...? You don't have to lie–"

"I'm not lying," Jaemin cuts him off. "I really am free after school, so I don't see why not."

Again, in a different situation, Jaemin wouldn't have give in to this regardless of his schedule.

He would have lied in front of their faces, lock himself in his house or do anything to get away from the person like they're the plague.

This is oddly different.

His loud and chaotic thoughts were set aside once Jeno smiles brightly at him again. Couldn't stop himself from squealing as he hugs Jaemin tightly.

"Thank you, hyung! I'll see you later then!" Shamelessly kissing his cheek, Jeno waves him goodbye before skipping off.

Jaemin takes a deep breath for a moment, fingers tightly gripping on the broom he was holding. Clearing his throat, he then shakes his head and goes back to helping.

Jaemin gets another surprise while he was waiting by the gate, an excited Jeno practically jumps on him. Behind the blond haired boy was two girls holding hands, snickering at them.

Hands immediately resting on Jeno's waist, he gently pries him off to a good distance. Jeno giggles and kisses his nose.

"He just had candy, don't mind him." Yeeun spoke up with an amused smile, looking more calm and approachable than usual.

"He's basically a kid high on sugar right now." Jeno then blows a raspberry at her, "see?"

Huffing, Jeno calms down a tad bit and abruptly gestures to the girl beside Yeeun. "Jaemin hyung, meet Yeeun noona's girlfriend, Elkie!"

(A/N: okay ngl I forgot who I used as Yeeun's gf– idk if I really mentioned a name or not. Sorry! T~T)

The said girl smiles at him kindly. Jaemin's eyes didn't miss the way Yeeun glances at her girlfriend with such love written all over in her eyes.

"Nice to meet you, Jaemin. I've heard many stories– or shall I say, rants about you." Elkie says while they shook hands.

She then gets nudged by Yeeun as Jeno sends her a thankful wink.

"Look, I was just looking out for my sweet brother over here." Yeeun pathetically defends herself with a frown.

Elkie laughs in amusement, tucking a strand of Yeeun's hair behind her ear. "I know, sweetie. I'm just teasing."

Jeno interlocks his and Jaemin's arms and bounces on his feet. "Well, what are we waiting for? I'm hungry!"

The two girls giggle at his honest words, nodding as they lead the way. Jaemin subconsciously smiles softly at Jeno beside him.

Apparently Yeeun can be quite silly and chaotic at times, it just so happens Jaemin gets to see it because Elkie was there.

She accidentally spilled a portion of her drink on Elkie, however it didn't upset the latter and instead giggles at her clumsiness.

They excuse themselves to the bathroom, Jeno quietly jokes it would take longer than necessary and when they'll come back, both of them are messy.

A minute passes by, Jaemin clears his throat to start a conversation with his supposed fiancé. "Your sister is more nice with her girlfriend around." He quips.

Chuckling, Jeno hums attentively as he grabs his fork. "She's like that, acting cold to some people but is actually very sweet."

"Remember, she's only acting cold towards you. So don't take it to heart, she accepts you now."

Laughing quietly, Jaemin nods in agreement. "I like to think we're competing over you. You know, sister versus fiancé."

Rolling his eyes, Jeno clicks his tongue. "I love you both equally." He emphasizes.

Jaemin freezes.

Love... He... No, that's just–

Sure that's supposed to happen. Jeno falls in love with Jaemin, falls in his trap until he's unable to get out.

But hearing that now, Jeno saying that special word to him like he deserves it so much and is being so calm about it, freaks Jaemin out.

"Jaem?" Jeno calls out for him, eyeing him weirdly. "Are you okay, hyung?"

Blinking furiously, he gulps, Adam's apple bobbing. "Yeah... Yeah, I'm... Okay." He croaks, forcing a crooked smile.

Jeno seems doubtful, and it freaks Jaemin out even more by the thought of how Jeno can read him like an open book now.

So he stops him from prying, abruptly leaning in to kiss his lips hungrily. A loud smack elicits from their lips molded together before parting ways.

It was a short kiss, but it still has them breathing heavily as if it was really long. "I'm fine, I promise. I was just... Admiring you."

"Ha?" Jeno blushes, really flustered at Jaemin's words.

Jaemin doesn't cringe or feel any regrets on saying that. He doesn't even hesitate to back up his words, "you're really pretty, sunshine."

Hand cupping Jeno's jaw, his thumb runs over his moist lips as Jeno purses them nervously.

Slowly pulling away and instead moves his hand down onto Jeno's thigh, the blond haired boy clears his throat.

"By the way, hyung... I want to thank you for taking this as an opportunity to bond with Yeeun noona and also meet her girlfriend..."

"This is honestly our first time having a double date, we used to tell each other how nice it would be. I promised her that day would come."

"And I'm really glad we get to have this moment together... Especially the person I'm with is you, Jaemin hyung." Jeno's hand rests on top of his, making him instinctively squeeze his thigh.

Jaemin's breath hitches as he recalls Jeno's words earlier.

"I love you both equally."

"I love you both..."

"I love you..."

It was so much for him all of a sudden, inching closer until he nuzzles their noses affectionately. "Thank you..."

It was the only thing he can utter out at the moment as Jeno was oblivious to his overwhelmed state.

Pecking him on the lips sweetly before he looks away to slice a portion of his pie, feeding it to Jaemin who was basically trying to hold himself together.

When Yeeun and Elkie come back, Jaemin eases up just in time and the four of them enjoy their double date just like that.

Jaemin quietly thanks the heavens none of his peers are roaming around, because surely they will interrogate him later on.

And they will not be happy if they find out.
