"C'mon Anti, I wanna get there as soon as possible!"

The demon sat up in bed when he heard Marvin's voice, the memories of yesterday's events flooding back to him.

The fight with Jackaboy.

The car crash.

The hospital.

"Right, coming!" Anti shouted back as he put on a pair of black jeans and an Antisepticeye hoodie, combing his fingers through his hair to try and tame it as he left his room.

"Alright, lets go." Marvin stated, looking like he was barely awake as he created a portal to the hospital.

"You doing okay?" Anti questioned the magician as they walked into the hospital, his movements sluggish.

"Yeah...yeah, I'm okay, just tired." Marvin answered with a yawn, going down the hall towards Jack's room.

"He's going to need coffee." Anti murmured as he looked around, finding a small coffee shop next to the gift shop.

Anti then went down the hall towards Jack's room, becoming lost in the maze of white walled halls that all looked the same.

"Shit, um, I think it was this one." Anti decided, stopping in front of one of the doors and opening it.

"Hey Mar-"

Anti broke off once he realized that he was in the wrong room, a girl dressed in a candy patterned dress sitting on her bed playing with her long golden blonde hair.

"Sorry, wrong room." Anti apologized, starting to close the door.

"Wait!" The girl cried out, causing Anti to freeze with a confused frown.

"Our name is Melody, we want to help you." The girl told Anti with a smile, getting up off of the bed.

"The name's Anti, and what do you mean by we and helping me?" Anti countered as he hesitantly entered the room.

"You have a dark soul, we want to save you." Melody replied as if the answer was obvious, sitting back down on the bed and patting the space next to her.

Anti glances back before shutting the door behind him, placing the coffee for Marvin on the bedside table as he sat by Melody.

"Do you like baking?" Melody asked, her eyes boring into his.

"I-"

"Oh, I forgot that my party is soon!" Melody exclaimed, smoothing the wrinkles on her candy patterned dress and fiddling with the flower crown on her head.

"Wait, no, that was years ago. How could I forget that it happened?" Melody murmured thoughtfully to herself.

"No offense, but what is wrong with you?" Anti retorted, throwing politeness out the window.

"MPD and ADHD, but that's just what the doctors say." Melody answered with a shrug.

"Here, you should take these." Melody added, handing Anti a plate of cookies that was lying on her bedside table.

Anti was silent as he took the gift, the demon trying to gauge how he felt about the vibrantly dressed hyper girl.

"Stay weird Melody." Anti winked, taking the cookies and the coffee before leaving the room to find Jack's room.

"And done!" Jackaboy declared, admiring his and JJ's handiwork as he looked around the now spotless house.

JJ smiles as he held up a hand for a high five, the hero complying with a victorious grin of his own.

"Not bad. Hey, what're we doing for breakfast?" Chase asked, the hero remembering that the fridge was empty.

"I guess ve go shopping." Schneep replied, holding up a handful of cash.

"Where did you get that?" Jackaboy frowned, reaching for the stack.

"It's zhe money Jack left in case of an emergency, and I believe zhis qualifies." Schneep shot back, holding the money out of reach of the hero.

"Robbie go shopping!" Robbie cheered, Jackaboy and Schneep exchanging a look.

"Robbie should stay-"

"He should come with us, I'll make sure he doesn't do anything bad." Chase protested, the German letting out a long sigh.

"Schiesse, I better not regret zhis." Schneep muttered, walking out the door with Jackaboy, Chase, JJ, and Robbie behind him.

The egos were silent as they walked towards the grocery store, pausing when they reached the road in between them and the store.

"Okay, lets go. Everyone stick together." Jackaboy directed sternly as he lead the other egos across the street once the area was clear, Chase falling behind when he spotted a patch of dried blood on the ground.

"Chase!" Schneep cried out, the male standing frozen in the street as a car sped towards him while the driver was on their phone.

Jackaboy ran as fast as he could towards Chase, his heart pounding his his ears as he pushed Chase out of the way.

The car drove on as Chase shakily stood up, Jackaboy breathing hard as he pushed himself up off of the ground and carefully tested each limb to make sure he didn't get injured.

"Are you two okay?" Schneep called out to the pair, Jackaboy flashing the German a thumbs up as he hurried across the street with Chase.

"Robbie help." Robbie decided aloud, hugging Chase once he reached the others waiting for him on the other side of the street.

"Jesus, don't scare me like zhat." Schneep snapped at Jackaboy, relief shining in his eyes as he hugged the hero.

"Let's just get the damn groceries." Chase mumbled, the group walking inside the store.

"Hey Doc, can I buy a drink?" Chase asked the German, gesturing at the array of different alcoholic drinks.

"No, zhat vill kill you." Schneep answered without hesitation.

"Yeah, like drinking five cups of coffee a day is good for you." Chase retorted, his arms folded across his chest.

"I've only been drinking three!" Schneep argued, Jackaboy rolling his eyes as he stepped in between the pair.

"C'mon, I got everything that we need. Let's-"

Jackaboy broke off as he looked around him, his eyes wide in panic.

"Where's Robbie?"

When Anti finally stepped into the right room, he found Marvin asleep in a chair next to Jack's bed, the magician's wand held loosely in his hand.

"Hey, assbutt!" Anti hissed in the magician's ear, surprised when Marvin didn't react.

Anti took the wand out of Marvin's hand and roughly poked him with it in the face, the ego still passed out.

"Fine, time for drastic measures." Anti announced, starting to move Marvin's mask off of his face.

The demon paused when he noticed how pale the magician's face was, prominent bags under his eyes and his lips almost colorless.

"God, you burnt yourself out trying to heal Jack, didn't you?" Anti mused to himself as he set the coffee and cookies down.

"Anti?" Marvin called out weakly, his eyes barely cracked open to look at the demon as Anti kneeled in front of the exhausted magician.

"Drink this." Anti commanded gruffly as he handed Marvin the coffee and a cookie, the magician downing both in seconds.

"Where were you?" Marvin asked once he finished, shaking his head to clear away some of his grogginess.

"Got lost. Now c'mon, you should get home so you can rest." Anti advised the magician.

"I couldn't heal him, I tried, but..." Marvin trailed off as he glanced at the Irishman, his expression filled with defeat.

"It just means he'll have to heal up the long way, Jack'll he fine." Anti comforted the magician.

"Why are you being nice?" Marvin blurted warily.

"Because there's plenty of time to be annoying once everything is back to normal." Anti admitted with a shrug as Marvin took his wand back from the demon, trudging out of the room.

Whenever the pair got home, they saw Chase passed out on the couch with the tv on, Schneep laying next to him while Robbie was curled up on the floor.

Jackaboy was in the kitchen talking with JJ, neither ego noticing that Marvin and Anti has returned until they stepped into the kitchen.

"Marvin, you look like shit." Jackaboy pointed out as he looked at the pair, Anti smirking in amusement.

"Gee thanks." Marvin grumbled, flipping the hero off before going into his room to sleep.

"Cookies!" Jackaboy gasped once he noticed the plate in Anti's hand, reaching for it only to have his hand slapped away.

"Fuck off, someone gave these to me." Anti scowled, holding the plate out of reach.

"Fine. So, how is Jack?" Jackaboy prompted.

"Same as before. Marvin tried healing him, but apparently couldn't." Anti reported.

"Chase nearly got mowed down by a car on our way to the store. I swear that road is cursed with stupid people." Jackaboy remarked.

"Well anyway, JJ made eggs and bacon for breakfast if you want some." Jackaboy offered, the demon, looking over at the stovetop.

Anti took some food before sitting down next to Robbie on the floor, eating breakfast while watching tv until he felt himself drift off to sleep.
