Chapter 5

Using the computer in Alex's home office, which surprisingly didn't have a password on it, Diana managed to book three trips to the point of Greece where she and Meg were staying before they went back in time, the first time that is. It wasn't cheap either. Lucky for them Alex was rich.

"Tomorrow at noon, that is the soonest we can leave." Diana sighed as she wondered what they would do until then.

She knew Alex had a guest room of two so she decided to look around the place. Four guest rooms she found. This place was huge. She picked out the room that had the balcony. Sitting down on the bed, she knew the guys were picking out their own rooms. Sighing she knew she could really use Meg right now. She was able to tell Meg anything. Now, she just wondered if maybe Meg was just in the past, waiting for her to come back.

"You ok?" Hector asked as he leaned against the doorframe.

"I miss Meg, also I can't help but hope she is back in the past just waiting for us to come back." Diana admitted.

"I understand, I hope Paris is doing the same thing. Not knowing what he might be doing makes me nervous." Hector confided in Diana as he sat down on the bed beside her.

"Yeah, I wonder why they didn't come forward."

"Mother can only travel so many at a time, I'm surprised she got the three of us here." Achilles said as he came into the room.

"We were trapped in wax figures for years, Achilles." Hector sighed.

"We still got here Hector, I never said it was the best way." Achilles shrugged.

"He's not wrong." Diana shrugged as well.

"Best thing to do is stick together, Diana. You may know this time well but Achilles and I do not." Hector said as he looked around the room.

Diana stood up and went to the computer in the room.

"Actually, things have changed a lot since i've been gone. In 2020, two years before we got here, there was a global pandemic. A virus going around killing thousands. I don't know anything about it but according to this article, the less people we are around, the better." Diana said as she looked up from the computer. "I think I prefer the past now."

"No one would blame you. Who would want to live through that?" Achilles nodded.

"Better get some rest. Big plans for tomorrow." Hector said as he left the room with Achilles staging behind because he had a feeling Diana wanted to talk.

"I'm no Meg, but I was your husband for a long time. Go on, tell me what's on your mind, I know it's eating you up right now." Achilles says sitting on the bed.

Many things were eating her up at that moment, she was hoping just getting to the past was possible, while the thought of having to choose between them again was weighing on her mind. She remembered everything, including Achilles saving her when she was poisoned by one of the women who wanted to marry Hector. When she chose Achilles, they had a son, a family for a while, but then war called and he would answer all of the calls of war. Leaving her and their son behind.

While Hector stood by her side, he made sure her every want and need was achieved. He was not the easiest in the beginning and she had grown to forgive him. However, as a royal, would her life always be in danger? She didn't know and she wasn't sure she would be willing to risk her life, or the one of her son.

"I just have a lot to think about. Hoping to actually get back to the past, find Meg and Patroclus because there is no guarantee that the time we get sent back to would be the one we just disappeared from." Diana pointed out as she tried to make sense of all the chaos in her head.

"That's true, but we have each other, granted Hector and I have wanted to kill one another since the moment we met, but because of you, we had to push that to the side. Now, we just live day to day Diana, there is nothing more we can do than that." Achilles tried to comfort her. "Get some rest, the sun will rise before we know it.'

Achilles left and went to another room. Diana was still restless and decided to look up figures from the past to see how their lives went on in their absence.

"Queen Livitiva of New Troy, was the only living heir of the mysterious King Hector. Her mother died when she was just a young child but her mother figure was filled by a mysterious Queen who continues to go unnamed in history. She had many trusted advisor's but none she trusted more than Alec, the son of Achilles. Though she never married, they ruled as siblings and Alec was also her Commander and chief." Diana mumbled what she read out loud.

Then she went typing again, she wanted to find out more about her son. What happened to him in the past?

"Alec, Warrior and Advisor, Son of Achilles and unknown mother. That's comforting. He also never married but had one child, a daughter he named Diana but the name's significance was never explained. His cause of death is unknown but he died in his late 40's." she sighed and rubbed her eyes.

That was all she could find, there was no mention of Meg or even Patroclus. Just her son and Livitica. Obviously history knew who Hector and Achilles were. That didn't seem to comfort her though. Somehow she just wanted to be back in the past, with her son and Meg.

Achilles awoke to the sun in his face and a weird sound going off in his room. He sat up and looked around. Searching for the sound, he found a tiny box with odd symbols on it. He couldn't think of a way to stop it, so he picked it up and chucked it at the wall. It smashed and the sound was now gone. His door opened to see a confused Diana with a long piece of wood in her hand.

"Are you alright?" she asked as she looked around the room, trying to see where the threat was.

"Yes, just awoken by a box. I don't know how it made such a noise!" He groaned about going back to bed.

"That's an alarm clock, it's electric and you probably broke it." Diana said, walking inside and looking to the floor and seeing the smashed clock on the ground. "Yeah, that doesn't surprise me."

Hector walked in groggily, apparently Achilles' mess had awoken everyone. Diana walked to the clock and picked up what was left of it. This looked to be pretty pricey so she didn't want to even imagine how much it cost.

"What time is it?" Hector dared to ask anyone who would answer him.

Diana stood up and went to the nearby computer. The time read 9:34 am. That meant they needed to finish packing and get ready to head to the airport.

"Time to finish packing, get dressed and head to the airport." Diana said as she walked out of the room.

"Airport?" Hector asked Achilles who just shrugged, he had no idea what an airport was.

Diana made sure that Hector and Achilles were presentable and if anyone asked who they were, that they knew Henry and Alex's names. It shouldn't be that hard for them to remember, at least she hoped it wouldn't be that hard. Achilles liked the many pairs of sunglasses that Alex had and even gave a pair to Hector, telling him that it would help him to blend in more. Diana managed to grab a pair as well and add them to her lot just as they opened the door and there was the driver waiting for them.

Going to the car, she opened the door and told the men to get in. Not wanting to argue with her, Achilles got in first and then Hector insisted she got in next, which she did followed by him. Diana instructed the driver to head to the airport after he loaded the three bags into the trunk. Finally they were off.

Getting to the airport, Diana made sure all the bags were checked, everyone had their tickets and was ready to board as they got to the designated part of the airport. However everyone was hungry too and they had plenty of time to grab something to eat. Heading to a nearby fast food spot, Diana ordered for all of them and went looking through her bag she brought essentials in trying to find her wall.

Hector pulled out his strange square object that Henry had kept in his pocket and pulled out a card that looked a lot like the one Achilles had given to Diana to use for the airplane tickets. The cashier smiled as she took it. Achilles held back a chuckle as the cashier looked up at Hector through a hooded eye.

"You gonna be back in town soon?" the cashier asked Hector.

"Nope, where we are going, it's a one way trip. Plus she doesn't like to share us." Achilles winked at the cashier.

The cashier had a bright red blush on her face, while Hector looked at Diana who looked like her jaw was about to drop to the floor. However he felt like he had to follow Achilles' idea on this now. Hector went right up to Diana and kissed her. Unsure what else to do, she played along with whatever the guys were planning.

"Don't take it personally, she's just been with us a long time." Achilles says taking the tray of food and walking the other way.

Diana and Hector pulled away from their kiss and began to follow Achilles to a table he spotted nearby. Sitting the tray down, Achilles chuckled at the little display that had just happened back at the food spot.

"That was entertaining." he grinned as he took a drink of his soda from the cup.

"It's not exactly common in this time Alex, granted pologmy isn't unknown here either." Diana sighed as she took a bite of her sandwich.

"Pologmy?" Hector asked.

"From my understanding, being with more than one person at one time." Diana nodded.

"Oh, Achilles really? Did you think that was the best idea?"

"Best I could think of at that moment, either way who cares? Not like we will be coming back here anyway." Achilles shrugged in reply.
