Chapter 12: Passive Aggressive
This chapter was 4,596 words before I began to edit. Yeah, strap in for the ride cause the chapters will be longer than usual since this book will be ending very soon.
Bakugou's crimson orbs fluttered open to the bright morning waving at him from the small slit between the two grey window curtains. He meant to say 'fuck off' to the waking sun, but had a face full of something more beautiful to welcome him by. Who wouldn't want to wake up to a cute pretty girl smiling on your chest.
The blonde lifted his head, sharing a loving glance to the girl of his dreams. "How long have you been staring at me?" Bakugou cocked a brow before resting his head back down upon the plush pillow.
"I woke up a few minutes ago..." You hummed in response tickling his chest. "How come we haven't slept together like this before? You're so warm and soft... I like this side of you," you snuggled your face into his broad chest and body, soaking the warmth Bakugou's body had to offer like a sponge to water.
Bakugou let's out a deep breath and wrapped his arms loosely around your frame. "I know better than to try anything around All Might let alone Aizawa."
"All Might really doesn't care what we do. He's just happy that we're together period." Does All Might really care about what you do with Bakugou? Not once has he set up boundaries. Then again, you haven't spoken to him man to girl in months. Only texts, and apparently he's been hospitalized on and off and doesn't want you to see him in this state. "You know what? I think it might be best if we didn't try anything around All Might... I'd hate to give him a heart attack with him being so frail right now," still doesn't get past the fact you wanted to see him all so very badly. You'd think if the man nearly risked his life for someone he'd at least want to see the person of which he saved.
"As bad ass as All Might is..." Bakugou lets out another deep breath and propped up his head upon his arms like a pillow. "I'm nowhere near afraid of him as I am Aizawa," even though he's beat me up in the past. Atleast that wasn't because I was dating you (Y/n). "Hate to admit it but he would kick my ass for sure."
"Well," you fought off a snicker. "Between them both, Aizawa's the more protective one. He likes you a lot though! He's only complained about you once-"
"Only once huh?" Bakugou forced himself to sit up of which threw you back on the bed. "I'm surprised he hasn't lied down any rules yet."
Am I hearing things correctly? "Are you saying you WANT Aizawa up your ass?" You picked yourself up and clearly you couldn't process your boyfriend's logic. He should be thankful your father hasn't gotten on him yet.
"Just saying..." Bakugou's lips pulled into a wicked smirk. "You'd think for how protective of a teacher he is he'd be triple as much for his own kin," now that made sense. Yet, where was Bakugou going with this?
"I'm not his real daughter for one," Bakugou heard the slow swerve of your voice that altered to your own confusion. "And lastly... Again just be thankful he hasn't gotten on you about me yet let alone he trusts you as much as he does," it began to scare you how Bakugou's smirk never diminished.
"Sounds like I deserve a little something for being the best boyfriend if big bad Aizawa approves," with a husky voice, the male stood up from the bed. As taunting as he already was, Bakugou backed you into the wall with hands rested to your hips and eyes that never shaken from your sight.
"What happened to the real Bakugou?" You manually removed Bakugou's hands from your hips and held them together. His once seductive look contorted into that of confusion. "Are you trying too hard to be sweet? Or is this one of the perks to finally being official?" As nice as this sweetheart attitude was, you missed Bakugou's passive aggressive attitude already. Without it, it's like Bakugou isn't Bakugou.
Bakugou's lips began to droop into a frown, he couldn't believe you were actually turning him down for being nice. "You just had to question me..." He pressed his forehead against yours with a long overbearing sigh.
"Bakugou..." Your scarred hands cupped his unusually soft cheeks.
His hands held yours as they caressed his soft flesh. "I've said this before and... Sometimes you're so sweet it hurts. I've always wanted to treat you better but shit always got in the way..." There was no need for him to bring up what that 'shit' was. It was just about everything. It was like everyone and everything either wanted to kill you or break the two of you up.
That was the point that got through... The guilt settled within your stomach. "I shouldn't have said anything," you regret to admit.
"Remember when we fought Zack the first time?" Bakugou questioned.
"H-how could I forget?" You stuttered with the mention of such a terrifying memory.
"Remember what I said after I kicked that bastard's ass?" Bakugou asked in return. You thought, but not much dialogue stood out from that day. Your head began to shake in disagreement. "I took it as a competition at first but you're so strong, my polar opposite, it makes me want to do better. On that day I said I'd be your hero... (Y/n). I enjoy being your hero. Why did you have to question me?"
Bakugou's being genuine about his emotions and I completely trashed them at first. Why didn't I just accept this new side of him?
"I'm sorry, being loved, it just was foreign to me-"
Bakugou pulled out of your grip just to throw himself on you into an embrace. "When you got captured I thought the League killed you. I took your pressence for granted and I want to make sure you know I'm there for you..."
"How long have you been holding all of this back?" You used all of your strength to embrace him the tightest you possibly could.
"Since you got taken... Now just let me love you."
"And I'll love you back-"
The door was bashed upon with brute strength as it thrashed against the frame. "Bakugou..." A Male bellowed from beyond the door. A deeper yet fumed voice you've heard a thousand times before. Dadzawa... "(Y/n) better not be in there!" The man warned.
"Sounds like we can't have sleep overs anymore," you laughed awkwardly off into the side.
"My ass is grass..." Bakugou bashed his head into the wall behind you. He's gonna assume we fucked or something...
"Your ass is grass?" You gasped. "Mine won't even exist if he catches me here!" You slipped out from behind Bakugou and paced around the room. The door continued to thrash about the frame and it only made you break out into a cold terrified sweat.
That's when an idea came along, "do that thing!" Bakugou demanded.
"Wait what?" You blinked. That could mean a million things!
"That thing you did..." He growled and began making strained hand genstures since he can't think the whole description out on the spot. "That thing you did when Shitty Hair and Deku saved our asses and you went all mushy and stuck to my arm!" Bakugou isn't very good at describing things is he? However, it was a good enough description for you to understand.
"Fine," you shoved the boy at the door. "Answer him and I'll sneak out."
"Hurry!" He hissed and threw the door to his dorm open to reveal a fuming ravenette on the other side. You remained on the other side of the door, melting down to a puddle of silver gooey mess and snuck out from beneath the door and out of Eraser-Daddy's sight. "School isn't even in yet and you're pounding on my door at Seven in the morning why?" Bakugou was just barely able to finish his question before Aizawa forced his way into the room. He threw open the closet, checked beneath the bed, even popped his head out the window before grumbling curses under his breath.
"(Y/n) never came to her room last night and her room was barren when I woke up as well... Figured she was with you," Aizawa took a deep breath in and refused to release.
"Well she isn't now get the fuck out of my room," Bakugou pointed at the door with a stomp of his foot.
"Wait-Whoa-whoa-whoa-WHAT!?!?!?" Midoriya's knees trembled in fear to the silver ooze that seeped beneath his door in a crawling motion. It was like something out of a horror movie and he was the victim.
"Its me (Y/n)... I'm hiding from my dad," your nearly disembodied voice rung throughout the bedroom. Midoriya heard you loud and clear, but his heart refused to settle. When your body began to take form from sludge to skin and bones, the image was etched into his mind even more vividly than the first time he'd witnessed this transformation.
Midoriya unconsciously began to reach for his half charred composition book and sketch out the event as it unfold from beginning to end. "You never fail to amuse me (Y/n)! What other cool things can you do now?" Midoriya forced his notebook within your face to show off his precious trophies of hero notes and articulate sketches.
"A little bit of everything I guess," you took the book from him and flipped page to page. "I may be near unstoppable with this quirk but I'm still very unfamiliar with it-" How did you not notice it before? Midoriya's room was a huge shrine to All Might. That big blonde brute's face was plastered upon every square inch of the room from the posters on the ceiling to the carpet below.
Never have you been more uncomfortable than to be around your dad... And he wasn't even here.
You clasped the frail notebook to a close. Your feet pulled themselves backwards all so very slowly. "I'm gonna leave..." You spoke.
"I... Yeah okay," Midoriya didn't require an explanation for your sudden desire to escape. He knows better than anyone else why you would.
A slow exit, and your current father stood on the other side of the door as if he were expecting you all along. "What were you doing in Izuku's room?" Aizawa tapped his foot.
"Asking about All Might," you answered on the spot in realization that you still had Midoriya's notebook and it was bookmarked to a page that held All Might's autograph. "Crap just give me a sec..." As much as you didn't want to enter the shrine of All Might, you ran in and out thankfully now empty handed. "Let's go out for breakfast just me and you-"
"Is there anything you want to get off your chest first?" His foot continued to tap.
Did Bakugou sell me out or is he determined to know what I did last night!?!? Should I play dumb or admit that I spent the night with Bakugou? I really hate you right now Dad...
You forced a smile onto your face, "like how my mom basically adopted a serial killer and I was left in the dark about everything?" Aizawa's bloodshot eyes shot to their widest. He did not expect that response at all.
"Wait..." Aizawa collected himself enough to respond and a hand to stroke his prickly chin. "Is that why Zack was always around when you were child?"
Great he took the bait!!! "According to Zack apparently..."
"That actually clears up much of my confusion," Aizawa had a new view on your mother long story short. "You wanted to go out?" He remembered your wish.
"Go out?" You squinted, the idea had slipped your mind. "Oh yeah! Let's go eat. When was the last time you woke up before noon besides school?"
"Honestly... I can't remember."
The subject of sleeping with Bakugou the night before never got brought up again as Aizawa had completely forgotten about it. Bakugou has hinted on a number of occassions that he wanted you to sleep with him again but knew better than to ask for such. It was also notable to add that Bakugou didn't want to risk getting in trouble. Now since everyone is being supervised 24/7 thanks to living on school property, Bakugou would rather get in trouble for something else besides PDA because he doesn't want to get you involved in anything. However, it's depressing how over the next week to come Bakugou's been blabbering on and on about what exactly he'd be more than willing to do to earn a punishment. Apparently, it sounds like two things are at the top of his list.
1. To fight Deku and Win.
2. To Kill Zack, Dabi and Shigaraki in that order.
Although you aren't quite sure why Bakugou had it out for Dabi, you yourself definitely wouldn't pass the opportunity to take his life. In fact, he's the only person you ever would want to kill. For the longest time it was Zack but Dabi is the highest on your list now. He's the one guy you could never defeat, the one guy who tried to kill you on a daily basis, the one guy who had the nerve to screw around with Bakugou after you explicitly told everyone to back off. But that's all in the past; no hero should want to murder someone.
The summer vacation, or how you personally like to call it the Summer of Nightmares, came to an end roughly a week later and welcomed the new semester.
Aizawa was back to his usual ways, all tired and crotchety like an old man since he has to return to his teaching duties. "We're all gonna work on developing Ultimate moves in preparation for the Provisional Liscense Exam," Aizawa filled the class in very briefly meanwhile Momo had to tell explain what the exam was. Apparently the Liscense gives heroes the right to get down and dirty with villains in public. "Now get dressed into your hero costumes and gather in the newest UA facility for further instructions. (Y/n) please stay back with me," although confused, everyone wished you luck since they're all aware that Aizawa's your legal father now and exited one after the other leaving you alone at your desk.
You groaned, "I know you're gonna say something bad so just hit me with it." Cause why else would he ask you to stay back?
"I actually have great news," Aizawa corrected you with a smirk.
"Um... okay," you're surprised that for once news from Aizawa was good for a change.
"You've already passed the exam," Aizawa held out a card of plastic for you.
You nearly choked, "but I never took it!"
"Toshinori, Endeavor and Recovery Girl all got together and persuaded the Union to give you one because of your impressive acts in Hosu before your kidnapping," just as you went to take the liscense from his hands, he pulled back and admired it for his hundredth time. He couldn't be more proud. "The fact that you impressed Endeavor enough that he went out of his way to get you this means-"
"Is it that hard to impress Endeavor?" You snatched the liscense and finally gave it a gander.
Name: (Y/n), Aizawa-Yagi
Eye Color: Red and Blue
Height: (Your Height)
Weight: (Your Weight)
Quirk: Malleability, Metal, Performance Enhancer
You almost spoke up to the many mistakes made on the card such as your name, eye color and quirk but in the end remained speechless cause how else could you reply?
Aizawa noticed that you were moved as expected. "Probably should've asked first, but the adoption was finalized after you finished your semester exam with Kirishima and Sero..." No wonder why Aizawa was stressing out so bad around that time. If I didn't pass the exam I had to go to jail instead and I wouldn't be his daughter. "You no longer go by the name of Yagi."
"(Y/n) Yagi... (Y/n) Aizawa... Not sure which one sounds better but I'm still touched either way," in all honesty you couldn't care which name you carried. It's just a name. Despite that title, it also was a milestone.
"Glad you feel that way," Aizawa sat atop the desk before your own.
"One last question."
"Fire away."
"This says my eyes are red and blue... Are they?" Last thing you knew was that your eyes were blue just like Toshinori.
"The top half of your eye is red and black, lower half is blue and white," Aizawa held out his phone which was on the camera setting and in fact they were that color. It scared you to say the least, like you're half demon or something related.

I hate drawing on my small phone screen. Here's what her eyes have looked like since chapter 28 of Ignition. Or, as I always say, you can ignore eye color.
"When did that happen?" You pulled down on your eyelid.
"When was the last time you looked in a mirror?" Aizawa threw out that snarky comment.
"When was the last time you looked in a mirror?" You retaliate just for Aizawa to glare at you and change the subject as a whole. "Now since you have your Liscense, you won't be joining us in class until after the date of the Exam."
"What am I doing then?" You frowned.
"Internships."
"Alright I can do that!" You stood up.
"With Endeavor," Aizawa tagged on.
"Endeavor?"
"This one was out of my hands," he regrets to admit. "Because of your previous status as a villain, nobody trusts you enough to have you around. Endeavor was reluctant but agreed since he takes this as a big 'aha' to the face for Toshinori-"
"Always trying to one up Toshi that's nothing new," you snickered. "But alright, I'll grab my uniform and head out to where?"
"Leave the uniform and I'll text you the address. You'll be developing an ultimate move with him. Don't bring anything along you don't want broken."
"Did Endeavor tell you that? Should I be scared?"
"His quirk's all fire..." Aizawa blandly replies.
"Then I'll just steal a gym uniform..."
After stealing a few changes of uniforms you trudged across the city to the address Aizawa typed out for you. The address was peculiar to say the least. There was a complete address with a building number and everything. You expected Endeavor to tell you to meet up with him at a union or a particular business but this was definitely a house address. Maybe Endeavor wants to train at some warehouse or something? The map on your phone claims the location is a bit secluded from the rest of the city.
When your phone claimed you had arrived to the address, your mouth dropped to the floor. "This is Shoto's house?" The house was tall and wide like a mansion with the architectural style of traditional Japan with beige paper doors, panelled walls, and deep brown wood workings. The mailbox at the base of the fence surrounding the estate had 'Todoroki' printed on it's face declaring this as none other than the Todoroki household.
"Why couldn't Fuyumi babysit me here?" You awed in appreciation for how beautiful the house was on the outside.
"Are you gonna keep staring at the house like an idiot or are you gonna come in?" A deep voice thundered from the intercom on the gate. Endeavor's voice no doubt.
You blinked wildly, realizing you've been appreciating how grand the home was too long for comfort and unlatched the gate. "And now I sort of understand why Shoto hates his dad so much..." Cause now you've realized just how horrible your second internship experience would become as to be forced to work under a even bigger resident asshole than your own boyfriend.
"I heard that you disrespectful lil' shit!" Endeavor snapped through the intercom causing you to jump.
"Too bad Toshi retired..." You sighed and entered the estate. Upon entering you couldn't help but notice just how lifeless such a grand home was. Very dimmed lighting, and no souls or sounds to be heard. Again, you thought of Shoto. It was no wonder why he's so quiet and kept to himself.
Luckily this place wasn't dead, in the dead center of the home was a huge (indoor?) Yard of perfect green grass. Two assumed to be teenagers with snow white hair, a boy and a girl, were sitting around in the grass talking while In the center stood Endeavor in casual clothes like a deep green tshirt and Jean's rather than his skin tight navy blue uniform. His arms were crossed and he stared at you in expectation since you're technically making him wait.
You approached Endeavor, "I'm (Y/n) Aizawa, Nice to meet you... Again," you held out your hand for a handshake but received none in return so, you retracted your hand. "Look, thank you for trying to save me in Hosu months ago and I thank you again for taking me in for this internship when nobody else would," and nothing you've said would elicit a response of any sort from the man of flames.
"Coming here out of uniform..." Endeavor wretched. "How unprofessional."
"I was told not to wear my uniform," you corrected. "The school would rather I use their gym uniforms instead of my professional one because they fear you'd just burn it..." Which honestly scares you half to death. Is Endeavor gonna try to burn me alive? My arms are already covered in burns as it is I don't need any more to add to the collection!
Endeavor growled lightly, "I suppose they're right to assume so."
"Great... Nice to know I'm playing with fire again," you laughly awkwardly.
"Playing with fire is all you'll be doing until you can land a hit on me," Endeavor held out his hand and it bursts into flames. His children spotted the fire and ran for cover. Nothing good is gonna come of this will it?
A sweat rolled down your face, "Im supposed to be making an ultimate attack so may I ask what you plan to teach me? That way I know how to not die."
"Try to hit me while I fight back. How hard is that to under-STAND?" He grunted with a chuck of the fireball.
You squealed and ducked to avoid the hit. "What does burning me alive prove!?" You gasped ducking another fireball. "We literally just met and you're trying to kill me!!!"
"If you can't land one hit on me then you're not capable let alone worthy of fighting any villains out there!" Endeavor threw yet another fireball and you ran away like a dog with its tail between it's legs and hid behind a support beam in the yard. Your heart was wailing on your chest and hands shook violently.
Who knew memories from when you were Ark would come into play? This whole scenario reminded you of one person: Dabi. Back then, you weren't afraid of Dabi in the slightest but whenever he'd throw blue flames your way you almost always found yourself backing down into his influence. Your metal quirk couldn't stand up to the intense heat of his ghostly blue flames. It all left you helpless then and now flames of any kind got your heart pounding...
"Blue flames are the hottest flames..." You spoke in an airy whisper. "Endeavor uses yellow and orange flames... Maybe my quirk can handle the heat?" Was that possibility worth executing? What if your metal quirk can't even handle it?
You peered around the beam, Endeavor was stomping for your place. Either surrender to the flames and die or die trying? Better die trying...
You hardened your fists in metal, heart moving to your throat as you heard his feet sear the grass with each oncoming footstep. "He's expecting an attack... I'll give him one..."
"If you're just gonna hide all day, you can get out of my damned home," Endeavor bellowed, engulfing your beam in a shower of yellow. The wood crackled and popped before disintegrating into ashes before the floor. You weren't there to his surprise, gone without a trace. "Clever girl," Endeavor smirked as he never took his sight off of the column so how in the world you escaped peeked his interest.
A glint of light pierced Endeavor's vision. His electric blue eyes carefully studied a trail of silver that flooded the scene from the corner of his eye. "Now where did that come from?"
"Brains or brawn they say..." Endeavor's feet were cemented to the ground and your body took form from his behind in a jumbled silver mess. "Clearly you chose brawn... And I won this fight," pulling your fist behind your head and thrown forward just as soon, Endeavor sets his entire body aflame! Although your body wasn't burning alive, it was melting? A body that was melting and couldn't rebuild with this uncomfortable stinging sensation to eat away at your feelings.
That proved my assumption wrong. I can't even withstand regular fire...
"Pick yourself up and try again," Endeavor kicked you in metal sludge form. "I applaud you for nearly getting me."
"May I ask again why you're trying to burn me alive?" You asked while struggling to return to your human form. Your head and chest formed the easiest while the other limbs dripped and oozed metal from their sockets in an effort to rebuild.

"You have to be able to read a situation, out smart your opponent in order to win. Never let a villain get the upper hand by crushing them before they can even touch you," Endeavor actually had good advice. Sort of, you're not very sure if beating an enemy to a pulp is the answer but he did have a point when it came down to defeating the enemy before they can act.
"Well I trapped you... Does that count?" Finally you were able to fully maintain your human body, some wobbly legs, but maintained.
"Not enough for my liking," Endeavor tuts.
"Then what would?" You snapped.
"Treat each fight as if you've already won. End your opponent and don't hesitate," the man grabbed you by the collar of your shirt. "Imagine the villain as the person you hate most... It'll make beating their ass feel like child's play."
"Yeah well the person I hate the most right now is your ass..." You huffed in irritation. The horrible stinging from forced melting lingered.
"Then kill me. I'd like to see you try," he taunted.
"I can't!" You complained. "I can defeat any opponent you throw at me except for anyone with a fire quirk! My metal quirk has too low of a melting point."
"Then we'll build your fire tolerance by force!" Endeavor creates a new ball of flames. "Same concept as earlier except you aren't trying to fight me... Use your quirk to defend."
"Is this why Shoto hates you so much?" You growled taking your place on the yard. "Are you always trying to kill him like you are me!"
"Tough love," he smirked.
"Tough love my ass!" Fuck he's literally about to play target practice and I'm the damned target!!!
"We start now!" Fire was thrown at you. You instinctively built a wall of metal. Like melting chocolate, your wall didn't stand for the intensity of his fire and you dove out of harm's way in a knick of time. With no time to think as the next fireball came hurdling at you like a torpedo, you threw up another wall of silver metal. That wall was weaker than the last and melted upon contact. With each wall made afterwards, each smaller and gradually decreasing in strength, all the energy was drain from your body.
It was an intense heat like magma that burned beneath your skin that had your eyes seeing nothing but white and dotted blue stars and a conciousness that refused to remain.
When you woke up, hours later, everything was as cold as ice and senses hindered to a numb buzz. Through a cloudy gaze, you made out the colors red and white to your right; the color yellow to your left. Nobody you knew had hair as white as snow as well as hair as red as blood except for one other person. And then bleached hair that was frazzled like an explosion.
"Shoto? Bakugou?"
Quite an eventful chapter. Which part was your favorite? Maybe which part shocked you?
