"Why do you want me to come if your dad and Siah going to be there?" Zay asked as I continued getting dress.

"You have been going to all the appointments since I found out, now you don't want to come?" I frowned.

"Memo it's not that, I just don't want to be in the way. Don't you think it's kind of disrespectful bringing your baby father and the boy you dealing with?"

"No I don't because y'all gon have to deal with each other and I want you there. Plus, you can't tell a pregnant girl no." I smirked.

"You so annoying." He groaned getting up.

"Love you too." I said walking out the room. I went in the refrigerator getting out the jar of bell peppers and some whip cream.

"That's fucking disgusting." Zayden said coming in the kitchen.

"No it's not, try it." I handed him one. He ate it then spit it out in the sink.

"She got you trying her cravings?" Zayyir asked.

"Yeah fucking peppers and whip cream."

"She had me do strawberries and mustard yesterday." He said.

"Ooh can one of y'all go out and get me some-"

"No." They said at the same time.

"Y'all didn't even let me finish." I mumbled.

"Memo you forever eating." Zaydrien laughed.

"I'm pregnant, what's your excuse?"

"I'm a growing man."

"Kitty your brothers starting again!" I yelled.

"Y'all all annoy me, go get in the car." He groaned.

"He on his period." Zayden whispered and we all started laughing.

"Akikiki." Zay dry laughed kneeing him then running.

"So Imma just go." I said looking at Zayden on the floor.

"Imma fuck him up, he's going to die." He groaned. I laughed going to the car where Zay was waiting for me.

"Wassup JC, Josh and Siah?" Zay said as we walked in the hospital waiting room.

"Wassup Zay, hey Ivy." Josiah said standing up.

"Hey princess, Zay." Daddy nodded then went back to his phone.

"You nervous?" I asked Josiah.

"I don't know, this feel kind of weird." He said.

"You get used to it."

"Ivory Whitaker." The receptionist called my name and I stood up.

"I'll stay right here." Zay said.

"You sure?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll wait for you." He kissed me sitting down next to Josh.

Siah, daddy and I walked in the room where the nurse measured me and took my height and weight and down told me to pee in a cup then drew blood. Now we was just waiting for the doctor to come see me.

"Daddy stop." I said as he kept going through the hospital draws.

"My bad." He laughed.

"How you doing today Memo?" Dr.Robbins asked looking down at the clipboard.

"Oh shit Dr.Robbins you still work here?" Daddy asked making her look up.

"JC my nigga- I mean hey JC, yeah I'm still working here." I laughed at her mistake.

"Memo this was your mother doctor for Kaijah and Avery." He said. "How you been?"

"Living, I ain't know Memo was yours."

"Yeah, my princess." He said smiling at me like I was a prize which made me smile.

"That's good, Memo you ready to see your baby?"

"Yes please." She put the cold jelly like substance on my belly making me jump.

"That's the baby?" Josiah asked pointing to the screen.

"Yes." She answered moving the wand around.

"Wow she look so small."

"She?" I asked laughing.

"Yeah, it's a girl." He said.

"You are now 17 weeks. Your baby can hear certain things and now growing. Did you find a good midwife yet?"

"Midwife? You trying to do water birth?" Daddy asked.

"Yes, I've heard it's less painful and it's pretty damn cool." I smiled.

"So you'll be in like a pool? Can't she drown?" Josiah asked.

"No he can't drown." I laughed.

"I can recommend some good midwives but they'll be pretty expensive."

"You know money ain't a problem." Daddy said.

"Of course but Memo everything looks alright so far you have to gain a little more weight tho and stress less. Do you need another prescription for the prenatal vitamins?"

"Yes."

"I'll get Rita to do that now, I'll see you in a few more weeks." She hugged me and my dad, I sat up and walked out the room to see Zay falling asleep.

"Wake up." I screamed and he jumped. 

"You play so much." He said standing up. "Everything good?"

"Yeah, he/she can hear me now."

"It's a girl." He rubbed my stomach.

"You and Josiah said the same thing." I rolled my eyes.

"My mother always said if you carrying high and not gaining that much weight it means you're having a girl soo.."

"Yeah whatever, I want my little king." I said going through the door as Zay held it open.

"Ivy?!" I heard Josiah running towards me.

"Yeah?"

"Um can we go somewhere and talk?"

"Uh yeah, can we go to applebees? I really want some of there wonton tacos."

"Yeah." He laughed.

"You coming?" I asked Zay.

"Nah y'all need to talk by yourself, just call if you need me to pick you up."

"Okay, I love you."

"I love you too." I kissed him watching him pull off.

"So wassup?" I asked Josiah as we waited for our food.

"I just think we should work on our friendship, I mean I'll be in your life for a while now and I don't think we should have bad blood."

"I never held a grudge towards you Jo, I mean what you did was fucked up but I thank you for fucking up because then I wouldn't have Zay."

"You love him?"

"Yes." I nodded smiling.

"In love?"

"No not yet but it's leading there."

"Did you love me?"

"I still do." I said looking directly in his eyes.

"I love you too." He nodded his head. "I think I know what our problem was."

"I think everybody know what our problem was, you cheated multiple times." I laughed.

"That and we rushed into this relationship, we never had a friendship or did the talking stage. It was just boom relationship."

"Yeah that may be it, I think that's why it's so different with Zay because he actually took the time to know me and show me how I suppose to be treated."

"I respect it, how he feel about this?"

"I don't think he likes it but it's nothing he can do now. I told him we didn't have to be in a relationship but we're attached to each other."

"I was kind of salty at first but seeing you happy while carrying my child is making me happy so don't fuck that up." He smiled.

"Boy bye I don't-"

"Hey Josiah." Some girl said coming up to the booth with 3 others girls.

"Wassup, Memo what you was saying?"

"So what you doing here?" The girl asked as I was about to speak.

"You could see right? I'm talking which you interrupting. I don't even know you, hey now bye."

"That was mean." I laughed and the girl snapped her neck towards me.

"Fuck are you laughing for? You probably just a rebound." She rolled her eyes.

"Yo why are you still here? Bye damn."

"I'll be seeing you." She said walking away.

"You are so mean." I laughed.

"I really hate that like bitches are so disrespectful, she saw us having a whole conversation before she came over here."

"Females."

"What?"

"You said bitches, it's females."

"Alright females are annoying as hell."

"Yes we are." I laughed.

"So like do you be feeling her move around?"

"No HE doesn't move around a lot, I felt it once but Dr.Robbins said it's something called quickening."

"So how do we work this out when SHE born?"

"How about we just come up with a nickname for him so we don't have to keep going back and forth?"

"Let's call her Boov."

"Like the little purple things from Home?"

"Yeah, ain't that your favorite movie?"

"Yeah." I smiled at the fact that he remembered.

"Alright well when Boov get here what's the plan?"

"Well she'll be a new born so I don't want her to be going to house to house so I guess until she get a certain age she'll be with me and you can come visit."

"Yeah that's smart, Boov immune system still gon be weak."

"Somebody pays attention in health class." I said.

"Can I tell you something?"

"Go head."

"I'm low-key excited to be having a seed, like a little me."

"Yeah I'm excited about it too." I nodded my head understanding.

"Gimme around four oatmeal raisin cookies and a chicken wrap."

"Total $15.78" Mulan handed her a 20 as we went to sit down taking pictures.

"You know your nasty ass brother got beat up in the locker room yesterday?"

"He ain't really get beat up but he got a black eye so I keep saying it." She laughed showing me the picture.

"Who he fight?"

"Remember Cortez?"

"He should of got beat up." I laughed, they finally called our order number and we walked outside as a group of girls was coming in.

"Didn't I say I'll be seeing you?" One of them said looking at me.

"Who you talking to?" Mulan asked.

"Not you bitch mind yours, didn't I tell you last week I'll be seeing you?"

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Bitch you know her and if you don't imma tell you she was just riding your nigga Josiah face yesterday." Another girl said and I realized this was the girl he was mean to.

"Josiah isn't my nigga so excuse me." I said trying to go but they stood in my way.

"Bitch move you see she trying to go, she pregnant so you doing all this ain't gon get you far." Mulan said.

"Her face ain't pregnant." Another one yelled out.

"Brah just move she can't fight and she not bout to fight over a nigga she don't want so move."

"Bitch you move before I fuck you up." One said.

"Girl bye, you don't scare me I feel safe around you." Mulan rolled her eyes.

"Bitches love talking but not moving no hands."

"Bitch pipe down, ain't nobody talking but y'all but we out so watch out."

"Excuse me." I said again.

"Just pop her ass suss." One of them yelled.

"Right these bitches punks, they not taking you serious." Another said trying to pop her ass.

"S-so which one of y'all taking this ass whooping?" The girl asked stuttered.

"Bitch ain't nobody worried about you with your scary ass stuttering, I would smigitty smack yo ass." Mulan said.

"Bitch you talk a good game wassup?" The girl mushed Mulan and she tied her hair up.

"Memo, if I get jumped do not jump in it. I don't give a fuck if they stomping my head in the ground, don't jump in!" She said.

She cocked her fist back and punched the girl making her stumble as she just started swinging and they immediately started jumping her.

I started crying because I didn't know what to do. I know I could risk my baby life and she said don't but I can't watch this and nobody breaking it up.

I sighed grabbing the girl that Josiah played at applebees and started to kick her while she laid in a fetal position, once I noticed she wasn't fighting back I started to move on to another girl. I punched the girl and she grabbed my hair trying to get me on the ground.

"What are you doing? She's pregnant." I heard before somebody got the girl off my hair. I noticed it was the cashier and she was now fighting the girl.

Some other McDonalds employees came out and they tried to break up the fight and was checking on me since I was pregnant but I was only worried about Mulan.

"Bitch you got blood on my Gfazos." She said still stomping the girl face as they tried to get her to stop. They finally pulled her away and she came to me.

Her lip was busted and her nose was bleeding and I was guessing it's from her nose ring because it wasn't there no more.

"What the fuck I tell you?!" She yelled.

"Mulan they was fucking jumping you!"

"I don't give a fuck, I came out with a busted lip! Them bitches ain't do shit, you don't fucking listen man come on let's get you to the hospital."

"I'm fine." I said picking up our food.

"I don't give a fuck, I'm not taking no risks." She said.

"Mulan you would do it for me." I rolled my eyes. She didn't say anything but continued speeding to the hospital.

"What happened?" Daddy said running to me as we was leaving the hospital with Avery, Jaylen, Mace, JJ, and Yayo.

"Dumb ass was fighting." Mulan said.

"What the fuck you mean? You can't fight you pregnant Memo, damn." Josiah said coming out of no where.

"She's not even explaining right, Mulan was getting jumped. I actually thought about it before I jumped in, I was okay with my decision."

"You would be okay if your baby got hurt?" Jaylen asked.

"Y'all always OD'ing. I'm fine, Boov is fine." I rolled my eyes.

"Ain't nobody OD'ing, I told you not to jump in Memo damn. You know how I would of felt being the cause of your baby being gone?" Mulan asked.

"You wouldn't be the cause I would because I chose to jump in. I knew what the consequences was but I did anyway because you are my best friend."

"Nobody never had my respect more than you did at this moment." Mace said pounding fist with me.

"Damn right, that's loyalty." JJ agreed.

"That's stupidity but I'm glad you okay big sis." Avery said coming to the side of me.

"You called Zay?" I asked Mulan.

"He was trying to leave at the office, I told him I'll come check on you for him." Uncle Yayo said.

"I'll text him, thank y'all for coming. Daddy, Avery I'll see y'all at the house. Love y'all." I hugged them all.

"Ivy?"

"Yes Jo?"

"You sure you good?"

"Yes, our baby heartbeat was still strong when she checked it."

"I know our baby okay, I said are you?"

"Yes, I'm perfect." I smiled.

"Good, text me when you get in the house." He hugged me and kissed my forehead.

"Okay, see you." I got in the car.
