Y/n: Remember when our favorite characters were just fiction? When their world was different from ours? My parents' creation, Ninjago, was all I watched when I was a kid. I was inspired by how the characters interacted with each other and the fight scenes. Creating a story that will entertain everyone on Earth. To share my joy of creation with everyone. I had no idea that my world was about to expand. And I was about to gain something beyond. It must have been near the center of "The Merge." But then, we didn't know what it was called. It was just sudden. When my parents got a job at Lego and began working on a new show called "Ninjago Dragons Rising," I met and befriended two kids: Arin and Sora. Arin is from the realm of Ninjago and Sora is from the realm of Imperium. It shocked them to learn that their worlds were just fiction, but they became my best friends. In the Merge, the Ninja were lost, and new people from different worlds started a school called Union to train people with gifted powers to become heroes. I was one of them. The Keyblade chose me. At first, I was nervous to have such a burden on me, but I knew I had to protect the people I cared about, and it was up to me and Arin to carry the Ninja tradition forward!

*Bark* *Bark*

???: Y/n, Arin, not to insult the dreams of my best new friends, but...

Sora: You two so are not ninjas...

???: *Sighs* How would you know, Sora? You didn't grow up with them like we did.

Y/n: Correction, YOU grow up with them, Arin. I just watch the show.

Arin: Yeah yeah, anyways. All I need is a master to train me.

Sora: Sure! Ah, one problem. There are no Ninja Masters around anymore and I doubt Union Academy would allow you to attend, it was just by chance that the Keyblade would choose Y/n.

Arin went silent while Y/n was holding back his laughter.

Arin: Hey uh, have you found we needed yet? Y/n and I can only distract these dogs from making noise for so long.

Y/n: I would use my Sleep spell on them but there's a chance we'll also be affected.

Sora: Give me a second.

Sora kept looking until she found what they were looking for.

Sora: Boom! And we didn't even set off the-.

The alarm starts blaring altering the three friends as security robots start approaching them.

Arin: We should probably leave right about now.

Y/n: Agreed.

Sora: I always like how you think.

The trio jumped off the pile of junk they were on before running.

Arin: Oh, there's gotta be an easier way to get mechanical parts!

Sora: There is. It's called "having money." Which is not exactly our situation and I don't to burden Mr. and Mrs. L/n.

Arin: After tomorrow it won't be!

The trio kept running as they saw the exit and smiled at each other before the security robots prevented them from leaving by attacking the trio. Arin and Y/n got into a stance.

Y/n|Arin: All right, then. Ninja-

Sora: You're not ninjas.

Y/n|Arin: Wannabe Ninja Go!

Y/n summoned his keyblade and cast Reflega on Arin as he used Spinjitzu to knock one of the security bots back as he struggled to land.

Sora: Rough landing. *Helps Arin get back up* But you're getting better at that. Let's go! Can the both of you make a distraction?

Arin: I don't think these bots want to hear my story about the Merge.

Sora: Then do something else! Y/n, you help in any way you can!

Arin and Y/n nod their heads. Arin uses his grappling hook as Y/n uses his keychain hook to get over the security bots to draw their attention allowing Sora to hack them causing the bots to stop attacking.

Y/n: I wonder what you did to them, Sora.

Sora: Just wait and see.

Security Robots: *Dancing* Dance! Dance! Dance! Dance! Dance! Dance!

Arin: I will never get over how quickly you can hack stuff like that.

Y/n: Ditto. That's pretty impressive, Sora.

Sora: *Blushing from Y/n's words* What can I say? I'm just naturally good at tech stuff. It's been like that since I was a kid.

Arin: We might not have money, but I'm sure the owners of this place would love one of my delicious homemade pies, right? As payment for the gear we're "borrowing."

Sora: Who doesn't love pie?

The three friends leave the junkyard and into the crossroads, a place where people from other realms live out their daily lives with the people of Earth and Ninjago in peace. Y/n's parents started calling him as he picked up.

Y/n: Hey mom, my friends and I just finished in the Junkyard.

Y/n's Mom: That's good, sweetie. Your homeroom teacher just called, what was his name again? Ah, Professor Port. He wanted to see you first tomorrow morning to talk about your powers.

Y/n: My oni powers, right?

Y/n's Mom: Yes, they used to be out of control during your puberty so getting more training could help with that.

Y/n: I know, but do I really need them? I have my keyblade.

Y/n's Mom: Y/n M/n L/n, you need to listen to your mother. 

Y/n: Fine, I'll call you back.

Y/n hangs up the phone and sees his friends are on top of one of the buildings and uses his keychain hook to reach them watching the Kingdom of Imperium.

Arin: I still can't get over how amazing the Kingdom of Imperium looks. It's perfect, isn't it?

Sora: Don't believe anything you hear about Imperium. I'm from there, remember? Their idea of "perfect" isn't mine. The Merge slamming it up against Ninjago gave me the perfect chance to get out.

Arin: And the perfect chance to meet Y/n and me. I'd still like to go there someday. Or go anywhere I've never been out of my old neighborhood. Crossroads just grew up around the area where my house used to be.

Y/n: Agreed. Mom and Dad never allowed me to go outside of the house when Crossroads was being built. So I never got to see new places.

Sora: You two want to experience other places? Look around! Why go anywhere when the best of all the realms have moved here to the Crossroads? For example, me.

The three friends started to climb down the building they were on to reach where they were staying

Arin: I'm glad I met you guys. You're my BFFs, my fam, but...some of us are only here because we had nowhere else to go.

Sora: I understand, but you have to admit, having our own penthouse is pretty cool. I have to thank Mrs. L/n for getting this place for us. Race you guys to the top!

Sora kicks the wall for a ladder to fall down and starts climbing until she notices Arin and Y/n use their grapple hooks to get up quicker. 

Arin and Y/n: Last one there's a rotten egg!

Sora: Hey, that's cheating!

Arin and Y/n: See ya! Wouldn't wanna be ya!

Sora: Careful, guys, you're going too-

Both boys land and something falls on their heads.

Sora:...fast.

Once at the top, Arin grabs a pie he left baking out of the oven as Y/n is getting ready to leave to return to his dorm while Sora finishes building her and Arin's mech: the SA-Mark-1.

Sora: Yes! SA-Mark-1 is gonna crush in the Mech-Master 5,000!

Arin: Tomorrow's race is the biggest prize pot of all time. If we win-.

Sora: When we win.

Arin: Right, right, when we win, we could find ourselves a real place to live. I could build my own Monastery and invite everyone else who lost their parents to live with us. To carry on the tradition of the Ninja!

Sora: And I could design a real garage and lab. And we wouldn't have to pay for parts with your pies anymore.

Suddenly, the ground started to rumble causing the trio to lose their footing for a moment.

Sora: *Sighs* Another earthquake? It seems like they're happening more often.

Arin: They never happened at all before the Merge. Hey, do you two ever wonder if there's a greater purpose for all of this? Like, a reason for the Merge?

Sora: The Merge might have taken away everything you had, Arin, but it's given me everything have. Change can be scary. But it's also a chance for something better.

Y/n: Agreed. If it wasn't for the Megre, I would never have met you guys. *Yawn* Welp, I should get going. See ya guys later.

Y/n throws his keyblade and it transforms into a glider as he gets on it and flies off leaving Arin and Sora alone. Sora waved goodbye to her friend before looking at Arin who had a smug expression on his face.

Sora: What?

Arin: When are you going to tell him?

Sora: Tell who what?

Arin: Oh come on Sora, you know what I'm talking about! When are you going to tell Y/n your feelings about him?

Sora started blushing when he said that. She grew feelings for Y/n when they first met, she wanted to tell him how she felt but couldn't find the right words and fears that he might reject her.

Sora: I-I don't know. I mean, he goes to a school for people who have powers and what do I have? Nothing? I'm just an inventor who ran away from her home.

Arin: Come on Sora, don't sell yourself short! You're his best friend, there's no way he will reject you. Just tell him and you won't regret it, I promise

Sora: I'll think about it.
