I originally had a different plan on what to make the cover, so the blending was like this. It looked a bit too happy to me and I forgot to put in something magician related (aka cards).

I started with a whole new background and erased the background of the old cover into one of the cards. I erased roughly around the outside of the card and blended the characters into the card a bit more.

Back to Superimpose:

I realized the hair colors were too light so I darkened them. Using the card background, I used the blend mode lighten and then used the soft brush to give it a softer look.

To make it look more mysterious, I covered the whole cover with a black foreground and erased from the center of the cover outwards.
