Pitch's Past

Pitch returned home and was expecting to see Jack messing with soemthing in the kitchen, but was surprised to see he wasn't. He put his hands behind his back and walked over to the livingroom, peeking his head in to see the same thing. He sighed and continued down the long tunnel until he reached Jack's room. Taking a deep breath he opened it to heard Jacks soft snores.

His eyes traveled to the bed which held the small frame of Jack Frost who was cuddling his cheek in his hand. Pitch sighed, blaming himself for Jack's current mood. He sucked in a breath before walking into the room and sitting on the bed by Jacks feet. jack, feeling the bed start to dip, jumped up and glanced over to see Pitch.

Jack's eyes, which were once filled with alertness, turned into a glare once his eyes met Pitch. "Home so soon?" Jack asked.

Pitch just sighed, looking at Jack like a wounded animal. "I did some thinking while I ran my errand and came to the conclusion that you were correct."

Jack lifted his brows in surprise, interested in the conversation now. He sat up, turning towards Pitch with his knees up to his chest. "And what was I correct about?" Jack asked.

"About you knowing my past. We were partners in the previous life, so I believe you deserve to know what happened after you passed away. If you will let me tell you." Pitch said, crossing his right foot over his left, turning to look as Jack who was cross legged on the bed.

"I told you I wanted to hear it." Jack said.

Pitch sighed, knowing that was what jack was going to say. "Alright, well where to start..." Pitch thought for a moment before he chuckled and started. "When you passed away, we tried to look for you, but the water was too cold and we almost lost another person. After that I fell into a depression and started to ignore and neglect myself. It got so bad that the village doctor believed I wouldn't make it." He explained.

Jack started slouching in sadness, but he kept his ears open as Pitch continued. "After that happened, I opened my eyes and realized that I should live the life I so gracefully had. I shouldn't throw my life away when It used to be so filled with Joy. Thats when I moved away from the Village and started embarking on a quest to see some neighboring villages. I met a lot of humble people and places." Pitch explained, smiling at the memories. "Thats when I found her. She reminded me so much of you it was actually crazy. She was funny, crazy and energetic."

"You got into a relationship with someone else?" Jack asked.

Pitch nodded. "Don't get me wrong, you still had a lot of my love, but she was so much like you that it struck me as odd. So we started to talk and do meet ups. It was like another door to happiness opened up right in front of me."

"What happened? I feel like there is going to be a plot twist that I wont like." Jack explained.

Pitch nodded. "We had a child, but before her second birthday, I went to fight in the Seven years War and lets just say I never returned to them. I was captured and tortured. That is why I am so cold towards everyone. Its my pasts fault, not anything else." Pitch explained.

Jack felt a horrible pit in his stomach as he sat there listening to Pitch's story. He just wanted to take back his harassment to force Pitch to explain his horrible past. But at the same time, he felt like he understood Pitch a lot more. Jack slowly rocked onto his palms and knees, crawling towards Pitch who was sitting there, staring at the floor.

Jack stopped right over Pitch's shoulder and wrapped his arms around Pitch's torso. Pitch froze, obviously not used to the contact. Jack rested his face on Pitch's shoulder, trying to give him some comfort.

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to bring up just bad memories." Jack whispered, still clinging to his waist.

Pitch looked over to see Jack, who's eyes were looking down at the same spot Pitch was just looking at, his hair a big sleepy mess. Jack felt eyes on him and looked over to meet Pitch's yellow ones.

"What?" Jack asked.

Pitch shrugged. "You haven't changed. I have grown into a man in his late twenties. You are still an eighteen year old. It just feels awkward for me." Pitch explained.

Jack couldn't help but chuckle. "Actually, I am 318 years old, but uh... I guess in looks it is weird." Jack said. "You were... what the same age when I died?" Jack asked.

"I was nineteen. My birthday was a month before you passed, remember?" Pitch asked.

Jack nodded. "Oh yeah... I completely forgot about that." He said, before letting Pitch's waist go and flopping backwards on the bed, spreading like an eagle. "Its crazy how much time can change people, huh?" Jack asked.

Pitch shrugged. "That is why it is called time, my dear Jack." Pitch said, starting to get up off of the bed. "Are you hungry? I will make dinner." He said.

Jack chuckled. "Its only lunch time." He whispered, sitting up from the bed. "Right?"

Pitch looked at the clock on the side of the bed, forcing Jack to look as well. Jack's eyes bugged out of his head. "I slept for that long?! What?!" Jack shouted, jumping up off the bed. "I cant believe it! I never sleep this late! Normally North or Bunny would have annoyed me to the point of no sleep! Also I have been rather... sleepless... Wow... so this is what real rest feels like." Jack shouted, going into a whisper near the end of his sentence.

Pitch couldn't help but chuckle, but was slightly irked at the mention of the other guardians. Pitch continued out of the room, followed by the still hyped Jack as they made their way to the Kitchen for a nice meal.

A/N: I AM NOT DEAD! SURPRISE! but seriously, I am sorry for the hiatus. Its been crazy okay? Anyway as you can tell i made the ages a little bit different just so it wasnt weird and I also changed Pitch's back story to fit the situation, so voila! Hope you enjoyed!
