First Night of Many

Jack was excited using his staff to create little details outside of the house. Pitch on the other hand was sitting inside on the bed he brought back from his old hide out. Most of their furniture were taken from his hideout in Paris so they basically had a full place of their own. Jack stood up, finishing the last detail which was to make it look like it was wood and turned to admire his work.

Jack nodded, proud as he turned and walked into the house. Since it had many windows, it lit the room well, though it was nearly dark out. Pitch was standing next to a fire place. Jack knew his Ice was strong. It wouldnt melt if Jack didnt want it too. That's a perk Jack has always loved about his power.

"The final decorations are done." Jack explained, walking over to the table, setting his staff down.

Pitch looked over at him with a small smile. "I'm glad. The place is complete then." He explained.

Jack chuckled. "Not quite. What about electricity?" Jack asked.

Pitch scoffed. "Electricity? Who needs it, when you have such a beautiful surrounding." He explained, walking over to Jack and leaning against the table. "We didnt have electricity to enjoy each others company back then. Why do we need it now?" He asked.

Jack blushed, getting all flustered again as he reached for his staff. "I guess you are correct. We should cherish these moments because we dont know when our last one will be." Jack said, obviously hinting at the Guardians inability to not hunt them down. Jack reached for his staff, but didnt get to grab it when Pitchs hand gripped his, making his attention go to him.

"When my daughter was born. She was my only entertainment. I played hide n seek with her, and even tag. Even though she was nearly 3 when I left she grew up fast. She was walking by 2 years old. I dont remember what happened when I became a spirit, but when I saw you having fun with those children right after I was defeated, it brought back memories of her. As well as memories of you and Emma. It made me realize just how fast the good disappeared." He explained. Jack could see hurt cross his eyes.

Jack shifted his weight so he was looking at Pitch. Reaching for his other hand, he gripped it. "You know, when they offered me the job as Guardian, I refused at first because I didnt know if that's where I belonged. I was hesitant even after learning of my past. I would remember all those times we had together and the more I did the more I wanted to find you and join you, but I also didnt want to upset the Guardians. When I became a guardian, I didnt like it if I'm being honest. I didnt want to refuse them though." He explained. Looking up at Pitch to see his expression was unreadable. Jack couldnt place exactly what it was. "As a guardian of fun, the only thing I could think of every time I had fun after finding out my memories was you and Emma. With Jamie I felt like it was Emma all over again."

Pitch nodded, understanding his words. Jack looked down at their hands, a sad smile on his face. "I wish I could go to the Guardians and tell them about this. But they wouldn't understand." Jack explained.

Pitch scoffed. "They will never understand. They believe I am the stain upon this world. It's to be understood, I have been evil since I have turned into a spirit. It would take years to change their minds." Pitch smiled sadly, squeezing Jack's hands.

Jack nodded. "If you were given a chance to change, for us to be together.... would you?" Jack asked, his heart fluttering.

Pitch looked into Jack's eyes, something flashing through them that Jack couldnt catch. Letting go of Jack's left hand, he cupped Jack's cheek. "If I had known you were alive all this time, I would have changed. We got off on a rocky start, yes, but if you were there for me when I came too, I would have turned out differently. I'm never going to change my attitude, it is who I am, but my goals would have been different." He explained.

Jack chuckled, clutching Pitchs hand that cupped his cheek. He leaned into Pitch's hand feeling the warmth of it against his icy skin. He couldnt help the happiness that crept into his facial expression. He knew telling the Guardians about Pitch and his new found feelings would result in some very horrible outcomes, but at the same time, he wanted them to know. Even if the Guardians hated him, it would sting an awful lot, but finally being able to have Pitch by his side again, sounded worth it.

Jack fluttered his eyes closed, leaning forward he placed a kiss on Pitchs lips. Pitch in return, deepened it as he wrapped his arms around Jack's waist. Jack wrapped his around Pitchs neck, leaning into his body.

Jack pulled back, looking up at Pitch who was smirking. "This is rather dangerous." Pitch whispered.

Jack smiled, kissing him once again, before he hopped off of the chair, grabbing Pitchs hand and guiding him upstairs to the bed. When they were upstairs, Jack jumped on the bed.

"Its almost dark. Might as well lie in bed." Jack whispered.

Pitch rolled his eyes, before crawling into bed next to Jack. Once Pitch was settled in next to him, Jack leaned up, kissing him once more before resting his head on Pitchs chest. Pitch rested his hand on Jack's shoulder, squeezing and holding him close.

Both of them fell asleep in peaceful bliss, hoping this night is one of many they spend together.
