almost back
I'm really sorry about the slow updates!
The Imperial shuttle landed on the dusty planet of Bespin. The ramp lowered and Izor walked out into the open. The Stormtroopers followed but Izor held up a hand to stop them.
"No. You guys stay here, I need to investigate something alone" he told them.
"But sir, what if you're attacked?" The commander asked.
"I'll send up a signal of some kind" Izor replied.
The troopers nodded and Izor walked onwards. Minutes passed as Izor explored the plains of the planet. But the so called 'Spector Five' was no where to be found.
"Where are you?" Izor muttered.
"Ezra?"
Izor swung round to see a girl in Mandalorin armour standing a few meters away from him.
"Who are you?" Izor asked.
"Spector Five" Sabine replied.
"So you're the person who contacted me?"
"Yes."
"Are you Force sensitive?"
"No."
"Then how'd you contact me?"
"Long story. But listen, do you know who you are?"
"Yes. Izor Night Hunter. Padawan of the Seventh Sister and loyal to the Emperor."
"That's the lie you were forced to believe, you're not any of that. You're Ezra Bridger, Padawan of Kanan Jarrus and part of my family."
Izor gave Sabine a sceptical look.
"Part of a f-family?" Izor repeated.
"Yeah, don't you remember?" Sabine asked.
"No...all I've been part of is the Empire and that's my only home."
"Then how do you explain your age and height huh? Ezra, you weren't just born this way. You spent so much time with us and you grew into such a kind person. What happened to the Ezra I know?"
"My name, for the last time, is not Ezra!" Izor snapped.
"It is though! It always has been!"
"Not anymore."
Sabine sighed.
"Ezra, why'd you fall to the Dark side?"
Izor blinked.
"Fall? I was always one with the dark..."
"No you weren't, you were also a Jedi!"
"I know, but I would've gone to the Dark side anyway. I summoned a massive Fyrnock! I tried to kill the Inquisitors! I was filled with pain and hate ever since my parents were taken away!"
Sabine felt hope fling upon her.
"You remember all that?" She asked.
"I...I do...but I've never thought about it before" Izor admitted.
"Ezra."
Sabine began approaching the boy she knew. Stopping in front of Izor she looked straight into his firey eyes.
"I know you're still in there." Izor gazed at Sabine then heard a voice in his head
'kill the girl.'
'Why? What would be the point? She's not trying to hurt me' Izor replied.
'She's your enemy. You can't trust her.'
'I feel like I remember her.'
'Izor Night Hunter I command you to kill that rebel.'
'Why?'
'Do it.'
'Why though?'
'Just do it!'
An overwhelmingly amount of agonising pain streaked through Ezra's brain. He gave a yell and leapt away from Sabine.
"Ezra? Ezra are you alright?" Sabine asked worridly.
"Run" Izor pleaded gripping his head.
"No, I'm not leaving you behind" Sabine told him.
"You don't understand" Izor choked out, collapsing to his knees, still clutching his head.
"You're in danger of me... I'll kill you if you don't get out of here now-"
Izor suddenly screamed in pain. His brain felt like it was being strangled and burned at the same time. Searing pain ripped through Izor's head as he tried to fight off whatever was hurting him.
Sabine stood helplessly a few feet away from her family. She had no idea what was going on but she really wanted to help Ezra. He was clearly in pain and she hated seeing him like that.
Crouching in front of Izor, she reached for his shoulders when the young Sith lunged at Sabine and pinned her to the ground.
"Ezra what...?!" Sabine didn't even get to finish when she felt Izor's hands grab around her throat.
She choked as her air supply started to run out.
"Ez...Ezra" she coughed, trying to reason with the boy choking her.
She could see Stormtroopers running towards them and felt fear flood her. Was she really going to end this way? Be murdered by one of her friends then made an example to the galaxy by the Empire? Sabine's vision was becoming blurry then suddenly, the pressure on her neck almost disappeared. Izor's hold was still there but it was gentler, then he bent his head so his mouth was by the girl's ear.
"Sabine, work with me" Izor whispered.
Sabine felt her heart leap. Hearing Izor say her name was heaven to her ears. She went limp in Izor's hold, pretending she was unconscious. Izor got to his feet.
"Sir, are you alright?" The commander asked.
"I'm okay" Izor told him.
"Who's that?" A trooper indicated Sabine.
Izor glanced over at the Mandalorin.
"A rebel. We'd best take her back for questioning."
"Shouldn't we just kill her here and now?" A Stormtrooper inquired.
A gun shot echoed around the plains of Bespin.
The trooper collapsed with a blaster shot in his armour. The other Stormtroopers looked worridly at Izor. The boy was holding a blaster and was glaring at the rest of his team.
"I said, we'll take her back for questioning. The next person to argue will end up like this fool."
Izor spotted the gun back in its holster and picked Sabine up bridal style.
"I'll carry her back to the ship, let's go."
"Yes sir."
The troopers trailed behind a bit which was good for Sabine.
"What's the plan?" She whispered so quietly that Izor could barely hear her.
"I'm playing it by ear for now. I'm still not entirely sure I'm doing the right thing" Izor muttered to her.
"Believe me Ezra, you are."
Sabine smiled at Izor which made the boy feel something strange. What was it? Love? He wasn't sure. But the feeling felt familiar.
Stepping into the shuttle, Izor placed Sabine carefully on the ground then went to talk to the pilot. Sabine smiled to herself.
Ezra was almost back.
