Emi

I felt groggy. It must been a late night, considering of that drink I had. I got out of bed, as to be waking up . 

I opened up the sink, as to let the water going to the sink, as I closed my mirror cabinet, I gasp of what my reflection was. 

I was looking at my 17 year old self, like I was back of being a teenager! What the heck happened to me?!!?

I rushed out from the bathroom as quickly as I possibly can, as I panicked as I saw that the familiar case that Arata had given me. 

That is when I remembered his words . "Take this pill. You will understand tomorrow. " 

I was totally freaking out, as of not knowing what to do, considering of that I was unsure of what or why this has happened to me. 

Was this some sort of plot , a revenge on me?

That was when I heard a knock coming to the door, as that it was Arata smiling right at me, wearing a business clothing and a briefcase . 

"Oh, good. It seems to me that you had taken the pill after all. " He said to me, as I was siting across from him. 

"So, what the heck was that? Why you give me this?"

"Well, I suspect you were down in the dumps lately. I've been watching you for a long time. You got unemployed from a job some time back, haven't you? " 

"How you know that? " 

"Like I said, I've been asked to keep an eye on you. I have a proposal for you. Would you like to start over? You can have a new beginning, Emi. 

This is a program called Relife. It's a program that allows you to be your younger self and attend high school for one year. "

I bink in surprise, as I thought, "A whole year?!? You can't be serious." 

"I know what you're thinking, believe me I've been there. So, basically, I got the same reaction as you are this moment. " Arata said. 

"You mean, you experience this weird stuff too?" I ask. 

He pulled out a piece of paper. 

"This is your contract to Relife. I'll be your Relife Life Supporter. Think of this as the rabbit going down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. 

Ready to go?" 

I nod and signed the contract. 

"Great! Also, this is also important to remember. This is a experiment, you're just a test subject, even though you're really an adult , nobody would think you are one. Also, I work at a lab called Relife Laboratory. 

We'll see each other more often since I'm charge of your daily life at high school. " Arata explained. 

I was confused by his words, "What does he mean by that?"

I sigh as I was shocked of the class I was put by the lab. 

"You're absolutely kidding me. Yr. 3?!? Why am I in this class?!? I am so going to be screwed. " 

I walked towards the back of my desk , to be reveal to be next to a window, and try to settle in. 

"Hey, Arata! It seems like you been sent to our class again! It's awesome to see you! Did you had a good summer?"

"Sure did, although, I hope that this year would be better. " 

I was in utter shock of seeing him in my class, wearing a school uniform and he seems to be seventeen year old kid! 

He saw me, and waved at me . 

Arata

I sat across the classroom , waiting for Ryo to arrive with his test subject. As I was waiting, I was greeted by a student, "Hey, Arata! It seems like you been sent to our class again! It's awesome to see you! Did you had a good summer?"

I knew that this would be absolutely a great experience for Emi's first day, as it brought me memories of my Relife. 

I nodded, "Sure did, although, I hope that this year would be better." 

Her reaction was indeed priceless , of seeing me in my seventeen year old form, as I smiled at her and waved. 

She was stunned, as I saw Ryo coming in, and I saw a boy with golden hair also was shocked and sit across from Emi. 

"Dude, you're really late. What did you do?" I whispered to the Life Supporter. 

"He was shocked of all of this and he was able to calm down after I explain bluntly of the situation. " Ryo replied as I groan, "You really haven't changed that much, haven't you?"

Emi was almost like me, she forgot her pencil case, and she got caught with having a cigaret in class. 

I chuckled at her, as she was so embrassed of her first day of school. 

"That was so embarrassing. " She said , to herself, as I said, "Of course it was. I mean, it was your first day, after all. "

"You!!!!" She said, as I walked beside her, "That was very funny , just watching you brought me memories. " 

"Haha. I'm glad that you enjoyed that embarrassment. I don't get you. How come you are in the same class as me, then? I overheard that student that you attended this school." 

"Well, like I said, I had experience this before, so, you should be thankful that I had come along. Besides, it is required that the Life Supporter should turn back as the recipient. " 

"I guess you do have a point, but why Yr. 3? Everyone in the class has to choose college early and made friends already." 

"That's the point. Remember, nobody would know you and I are adults here. We're just average teenage students and classmates. 

Speaking of which, just treat me like a normal teen around others in class. I'm your friend, but you can't always rely on me.  We are undercover after all. " 

"Gotcha. But still, I'm shocked of how you looked so young for a sixteen year old. I hardly believe this is the younger version of Arata Kaizaki." 

I chuckled, "Well, I am older than you, and besides, you can call me Ara if you want. I have to catch up with my friend, Ryo." 

I watched Emi walked away . 

Ryo said, "So, you said that I couldn't call you, Ara, but she can? That's too cold." 

"Well, she can, because she's my test subject. By the way, I didn't know what the subject you're supervising. " 

"Oh, Subject 94? His name is Tomoya Mizuki. " 

I begin to type today's entry: 

Subject 93: Emi Senichi

Went to her first day of school. 

Had an surprise encounter talk about the Relife Program . 

It was an extremely exciting and wonder what is the next day might bring.

I closed my laptop and went to seek Hishiro. 

She saw me, as she looks of how tired I was. "Whoa , Artata. Was it that hard?"

"Well, I have to wake up pretty early. Doing Emi's Relife, it gives me a lot of memories of us. I mean, I hope I can be helpful to her Relife. " 

She smiles as she puts her head onto my shoulder, "I'm sure, that Emi would be happy that she has you as a Life Supporter. 

Do your best, Artata. "
