Taaffeite has started to think that he wouldn't be let out. Maybe Pink forgot about him. Maybe the Jaspers forgot about him. He knew that he was going to die here. In that moment, Taaffeite felt a pipe. It was as blunt and felt rusty. He had an idea. If he had no reason to live, if he's a defect, and if he 'doesn't belong here,' he would leave.

Forever.

He would return to the chains that held him in to the real world.

He'd shatter himself.

He grabbed the pipe, and got up on his feet. He cried his last tears and screamed his last scream, and bent back, ready to start smashing his gem.

All of a sudden, the trapdoors opened. Taaf looked, and covered his eyes from the bright light he hasn't seen in 3000 years. He slowly adjusted, and realized that they were about to throw another gem in there, but his gem didn't look... defective. The gem looked quite scared and was tied up, just like Taaf (Again, not spinel. yet.). The front door swung open and Pink Diamond came through.

Pink Diamond: Hey, I just wanted to-

The Jaspers looked at her and dropped the gem in.

Pink Diamond: What are you guys doing!?

???: Uhh...

Pink Diamond: Move.

Pink Diamond shoves the jaspers out of he way, she looked in here, and pulled both Taaf and the other gem that was thrown out. Pink Diamond then untied the rope that held the gem in.

Pink Diamond: How long was Taaffeite in here!?

???: Uhh... 3,000 years?

Pink Diamond gasped and looked at Taaf in disbelief, then back at the Jaspers.

Pink Diamond: Go tell Yellow what you've done!

The Jaspers went to tell Yellow, whoever that is, Taaf thought.

Pink Diamond: I'm so sorry you two! The Jaspers are cruel people to anybody they meet.

Taaf: Hm. Makes sense.

Pink Diamond wipes away his tears and greets him to the other gem.

Pink Diamond: Taaf, meet the other Gem!

Painite: Hi... I'm Painite.

Taaf: Taaffeite.

Painite helt his hand out, Taaf let his out as well and gave him a handshake.

Painite was pushed off and walked away to.. god knows where, but he left.

Pink Diamond: I'm sorry for what they did to you Taaf...

Taaf: It's alright... well.. I guess it's not... but I forgive you, I think.

Pink Diamond: I want to make sure you're okay so badly but I have duties!

Taaf: Well... go then I guess.

Pink Diamond: But you seem so sad and I just want to make-

She grew a lightbulb. Literally, somehow. That was kinda weird, Taaf thought.

Pink Diamond: I got it! Come with me! You're going to love it! For real this time!

Taaffeite didn't like the sound of being left for any longer.

She took his hand and lead him to a warp pad, and warped to a garden. Pink roses and vines, and as Taaf looked around, he saw a pink figure with a heart-shaped gem on her chest, and strawberry pink hair. She looks.. really happy, Taaf thought.

Pink Diamond: Hi! I'm back!

???: Hi! How was it without me? Pretty boring, right?

Pink Diamond: Not really, cos I found this lil guy!

The shorter pink figure looked at Taaffeite and gasped.

???: IS THAT A MALE GEM!?

Pink Diamond brought her head back at the loud response.

Pink Diamond: Yeah.. he's defective,

Pink looked at Taaf and put her hand up.

Pink Diamond: In a good way though. Taaf, this is Spinel. She's a nice gem, and an entertainer. She'll help you out here while I go tend to my duties. I'll see you guys later, okay?

She then warped off.

Spinel: Hiya! What's your name?

Jeez, she's energetic.

Taaf: I'm Taaffeite... but Pink calls me Taaf.

Spinel pulled a chair out of nowhere and allayed on it.

Spinel: Can I call you Taaf?

Taaf: I mean... I guess.

Spinel: Cool!

She stands up and jumps on your top half.

Spinel: And were gonna be Bestest friends forever and ever!

Taaf: ... what's a friend?

Spinel got off of you and layed on the chair again.

Spinel: ... what's a friend? Well, a friend is a person who you tell all your secrets to! A person who you hang out with a lot! A person who will be by your side through all your ups-

She grabbed Taafs arms and lifted him up high.

Spinel: -And downs!

She dropped Taaf and before he hit the ground, she caught him and pulled him closer bridal style. Spinel then pulled him in for a hug, which he happily accepted, shedding a tear.

Taaf then started to loosen the grip and Spinel let go, seeing that he's crying.

Spinel: Hey dude.. what's wrong?

Spinel grew a face of concern.

Taaf: ... I don't want to talk about it...

Spinel: Come on Taaf, if we're gonna be friends, you gotta tell me what's wrong...

Taaf: ... well... fine. I was found by Pink Diamond in the Kindergarten. She brought me back to her base and left me with other Jaspers. They... well... they didn't want me. They tied me up and threw me into a compartment they dug up. I united myself somehow, and begged for them to let me out. I was left in there for 3,000 years. During those years... I thought about shattering myself.

Spinel gasped at that last part. She teared up and hugged Taaf in a sad way. He looked down at her, and she was bawling her eyes out.

Spinel: No... no... please... d-don't shatter yourself..

Taaf: It's alright... I don't have those thoughts anymore. I won't. I promise.

Taaf patted her back and teared up a bit himself. Spinel pulled away from the hug.

Spinel: Well... I'll try my best to help you forget about that. Even if it takes me 10,000 years!

Spinel getting one foot on her chair, lifting her hand into the air, sounding so confident at the end. Taaf laughed a bit.

Taaf: Thanks Spinel. I appreciate that.

Spinel and Taaf hugged a bit more, and Spinel booped Taaf on the nose and ran away saying:

Spinel: Tag, you're it! Now you have to tag meeeee!

Taaf ran after her, laughing.

'I could get used to this,' Taaf thought.
