Bonus Chapter 4

After purchasing a small handful of DVDs from Target at their five dollar section, it was safe to say they had some movie options for tonight.

Casey held a bag for Snow as they walked up to Snow's front house. Literally, it seemed that they've been constantly looking at the DVD section for way too long as they argued about the movies that they should get. His preference for action films and hers for romance was an endless discord.

But of course, they couldn't forget about other genres of films thrown in there too.

Snow smiled at Casey. "The shopping experience was great."

"We've spent almost two hours there," he said.

Note to self: Never go shopping with the girl you like, especially if she wanted to look at everything. Seriously, it might kill him one day.

She hit him on the arm playfully. "Hey, you should be used to me by now."

"Should I?" Casey teased, his eyebrows lifting up as his expression eased to a relaxed manner.

Contemplated, she added as an afterthought, "You know what, maybe don't get used to me yet. I'm still not used to hanging out with you like this."

Her eyes drifted as she distanced herself softly from him to stand at the grass side, looking innocent as ever with her hands kept behind her back. He stared at her funnily. It reminded him a little bit of the time when he was introduced to her. Snow was like this; awkward and didn't know what to say. She feared him as though his presence was untouchable and intimidating.

He couldn't blame her. With the continuation of his eyes on her, he thought now she's cute, and so was this side of her.

He walked over to her and asked, "What are you doing?"

"Oh look, fluffy white clouds," Snow muttered. She didn't look his way, but she knew he was there. "I think it's so weird we're at this stage now. It makes me wonder if I deserve a relationship. Like I get to hang out with a boy all the time, and he's there when I like him to be."

Amazed, he felt when he looked at her. She was like a small ball of innocence that he wanted to shield her away from everything disastrously and unholy. Half of the time, he wondered what was so great about himself that she would take a chance on him. He hadn't gotten over the fact that certainly looked like he had a trump card and used it for himself, so it became where they are now. But darn, he liked it so far with what he sees, and it certainly didn't help that she was so transparent around him. He gets to feel for someone again.

She was there all lost in space, perplexed, as though she was showing how respectful she was of his space. Casey would prefer if she faced him directly where he could see her right. "And you won't get tired of me?' he wondered.

Snow turned to glance at him peculiarly for a steady moment, looked away, and then lowered herself to crouch before him. She brought up her hand and ushered towards her. "Come here," she said, looking quietly up at him.

A confused look grew on his face; nevertheless, he lowered himself to her level as they were meeting each other eye to eye. She quickly leaned forward, and her lips touched his, blooming with warmth and emotion. Enough to feel her lips and how much it was real as she dawdled slowly, but before he knew it, the kiss evaporated along with the distance between their faces.

She opened up her eyes, a smile coming to her lips, and looked into his. "Does that answer your question?"

It tickled him surprised at what she had just done as he watched her reaction at how she seemed proud of herself. Snow was pleasing to the eye and so pretty to resist.

"You could make a man speechless," Casey uttered, thinking how her eyes were hard to pull away from as they held such a wondrous feeling.

"I could do that anytime I want," she said like she realized that she could practically do things to him with him right there before her.

Astonishingly, he noticed the growth of her personality which is of innocence and shyness, and the more he saw her, it shifted to intense bravery and the walk of unexpected. That was dynamite before him, but in a good way since he liked someone who would show her love for him and wasn't afraid to do what she wanted to do.

That surprise kiss had him wanting more. "And that wasn't enough." Casey grabbed her by the shoulder, pulling her towards him, so his lips captured hers into another blooming tenderness. Forgetting the bag in one hand as he dropped them, he gripped her around her waist and their bodies flushed closely together.

He felt her shocked at first, but then he felt her relax and she placed her hands on his chest. This girl was tentatively becoming a bigger part of his life than how he had imagined. He didn't think he would feel this way with anyone else, but she was there with her open arms, and her open arms were now his.

Right now was all his. He pressed his lips even closer against hers—firm as though he wanted to remember the way her lips felt. He tasted the flavor of her eos lip balm; strawberry sorbet. A scent that would make him happy would come from her, and her scent would be his new favorite scent.

Snow was the first to break away from their kiss, her eyes widening incredibly. Aware of their position as she was sitting on top of his lap, and her cheeks softly glowed pink. Casey looked at her expectantly as he formed a smile at her.

"You really took my breath away there," Snow spoke.

Happily, he planted his lips on top of hers again but small and soft.

"You're doing it again."

Regardless, she didn't mind. Her smile broadened as she cupped her hand around his cheek. "But you adore that, don't you?" he asked.

"Who knew you do the sweet things and towards me, but I adore you, Casey Ross Jennings," she affirmed.

It sounded a lot like a cheesy cliche in a film where a character says a last name to the other person unnecessarily. Wait, how did she get my middle name? Casey raised a brow at her. "How do you know it's Ross?"

She appeared bashful about this. "I asked your mom—well, more like I flattered her with comments until she caved in. She really thought it's better I ask you than her, but then you wouldn't tell me, so I did enough to know. Why wouldn't you tell me? Ross is such a cool name."

He sighed defeatedly. "Oh well, you know now. To make things even, what is yours?"

"Avery. See? It's not that bad to tell me like I told you."

Casey admired Snow's delicate features on her face, and the way her dimpled smile was one of them. It was like an angel resting in his arms, but once in a while, she had a sassy remark kicking inside her. Snow should be lucky that she's pretty on her own and without the use of makeup on her like she wasn't wearing any currently. He actually liked it better without because he could see her for how she was. He wanted to see the stripped version of her inside and out.

Anything about now her was everything he have a soft spot for. Like sometimes she used her eyes to form into a puppy expression to persuade him into doing things or when she wanted to gush about her favorite interests—including different types of guys she watched on television or from reading books.

"You're only lucky you're you," Casey said to her.

Snow mentioned to him to pick up the bag and concerned about how they looked when he dropped them, but he told her it wasn't anything to worry about as they walked inside her house.

In the evening, they gathered all the pillows and blankets from her room and some extras stored away in the storage closet.

"I'm excited about the blanket fort," Snow exclaimed, smiling and gazing at the stuff put on the couch.

Part of Casey was anxious about doing something what he had done before with Raquel. It was their thing and something special and meaningful for them. He was afraid it was going to become something replaceable, but it would always begin with her.

"Caseyyy," Raquel whimpered, wrapping her arms around his waist, as she nuzzled up against him.

Casey chuckled at his side, watching her as she looked small in front of him. "Yes, Kell?"

"We should have a secret base, just for you and me," she suggested.

"That's a great idea, but we don't live in the Pokemon world or Minecraft."

She buried herself more into his shirt, which would assure the makeup stains in standing out. "We don't have to. We could alter between my house or your house sometimes. It won't look apparent, we would have to build it ourselves."

"So, it's a shelter while we have a bonding moment activity."

She confirmed for him with a soft nod. "Correct. Since we always watch Netflix together and cozy up in blankets, maybe... we could do something fun. To make it more like our private space. You know like when we were kids, and we tried to put a blanket over things because it looks cool?"

"Like a blanket fort?" Casey said.

"You read my mind." Raquel curved up a smile on her face.

"Then we'll do a blanket fort every time no matter what day it is. Whether my place or your place, it'll be our home, always," he told her with a promise as he kissed her on the forehead.

Every day became fun and amazing when they get to catch up and hang out. Occasionally, they might goof up in the process while putting the fort up and shared many kisses that it took them longer to have a fort, but in the end, their blanket fort symbolized their blanket of love and security they have for each other while looking at the creation of their hard work.

"Casey?" Snow's gentle voice brought him back out of his reverie. "You okay?"

He blinked a few times and then saw Snow right next to him with a small concerned look. A few seconds later, she smiled softly at him.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Let's put up a blanket fort."

The result of their first blanket fort was cute and simple. The white ropes were hung up across the living room, holding up a canopy of bed sheets and tapestry. Almost like a tent. The outside was bordered with the strings of white twinkling lights from the top and sides. A smaller tapestry with bird feathers designed on them was placed on the back of the wall on the inside, also with throw pillows lined up in an upright position. And white comforters nestled on the floor and over the long brown and white patterned rug. Their fort was bright thanks to the ceiling lights and the sheets surrounding it.

Snow stared in amazed appreciation. "This is a nice blanket fort. I'm happy that we did it."

The blanket fort was nice, but she was nicer to look at as Casey looked at her. He would never have believed it he was here with her doing something that was with someone new.

"Yeah," Casey said, as she was too busy focused on the fort.

She stepped in and laid down with her head against the pillow. "Join me," she urged, patting next to the empty space beside her.

He brought himself over and took up the space, their shoulders and arm touching each other. No matter how close they were, Snow still was a little sheepish about their intimacy level. However, Casey enjoyed the luxury as he pulled the blanket over their bodies then put an arm around her.

"A blanket fort is a good idea. It kind of bring me back to my inner child," she said.

"Hmm, I suppose it's a good idea to still do things that brings you a sense of security and joy," he hummed in agreement.

"Yeah..."

"Snow?"

She looked up at him, looking directly into his eyes. "Yeah?"

"Do you think... I will bring you a sense of security and joy? Will I do a good job at it? What if I'm not enough?" Casey asked, slight worry in his voice.

"Why do you think you wouldn't? There's a reason why I said I want to take my chance on you." Snow's gaze was innocent. "I know you care a lot, and you build up a wall, but seeing it crumble slowly makes me feel it's worth seeing the person I'm looking at. It may be too early to say this, but for right now, you're enough," she said solemnly.

She's crediting me too much than what I'm worth. She's too good for her own, and that's not good for me. He wouldn't understand, probably not now, how he was deserving of getting a second chance of creating a deep relationship. Admittedly, he should end up alone, for how he was a fool to let someone slip out of his hand and afraid he could do that again.

But if this moment wasn't too much to ask for, he'd like to be with Snow and let things be natural as the way they are now.

"Thank you," Casey said softly, with the care he held in his gaze at her.

They sat there together, snug and in perfect silence. It was like that, but then the doorbell rang. She gave him a look of a slight smile before she made herself get to the door.

In a few seconds, Malloy and Kyle walked in. "Hey. I see something going on here," Malloy spoke, his eyes noticing the significant size of the blanket fort set up.

"Did you guys build a blanket fort?" Kyle asked as he pointed it out.

"Yeah, it's all Casey's idea," Snow grinned, joining back at his side again.

"Sweet, make room for us," Malloy said, making his way inside the fort to sit beside them.

Kyle examined. "I wanted to build a fort."

Just then Snow's parents came out to the living room, both curious about who was at the door until their eyes fell on the four of them situated.

"Oh, hello," Snow's mom greeted gently. "I see you guys will have a great time with the fort going on."

Malloy and Kyle popped their hand out with them waving at her parents.

"What a cool fort. Is there room for two more?" Snow's dad joked.

His eyes fell onto him as Casey felt like he was being on the spot once again when it came to her dad. He was easing on him but that didn't mean that Casey should let his guard down.

"Um, I don't mind. It'll be fun," Casey responded in nervousness.

He took a couple of steps forward but then paused and chuckled lightly. "Nah, I won't spoil your fun. Besides, you all can join us for dinner in a little while."

"And Casey," Snow's mom said.

Casey looked at her. "Yes, Mrs. Wilson?"

She smiled at him softly, and her eyes quietly stared at him. "I hope we get to see you more around."

The feeling of being appreciated not just by Snow but her family and just like this made him feel welcomed. "Thank you, I hope for the same."

It became a time for the four friends with them, chatting and fooling around with their time watching television as they had picked out a movie.

After having dinner with the parents as it was a full table with everyone, the time took away before the realization blinked in their faces. It was almost midnight, and they had brushed their teeth. Now, it was just them laying their backs or sides as they were huddled together. Malloy suggested a sleepover since how awesome the fort looked and wanted a night there, and he didn't feel like going back home either.

Snow took her Stitch plush with her as it was her personal cuddle buddy; she couldn't leave him alone and needed him for every night's good sleep.

With the way her arms securely but softly holding the plush, she looked sensitive and innocent. Now he hoped that's how she always looked and that no tear will escape her eyes unless he was the one to cause it, for the happy tears if he's thinking of the future possibility with her.

It was a scary possibility. To have a future with someone unknown and unfamiliar because previously his future lied to someone else.

"I can feel you spacing out. What are you thinking of?" Malloy asked.

"That...." Casey looked at Snow as her eyes were shut and softly sleeping away. "...I hope that she'll be happy. It's too early days and she told me before that she likes me, but sometimes, I'm not sure if it'll last."

"Do you care about her? Do you want to be by her side?"

"Of course."

"Then that's all you need to worry about. It's too uncertain to think about what happens later. I don't think she cares if you're a little shaky, she already knows that. Why else would she come to you? She made that choice. She believes in you."

He was right. Casey couldn't help the second wave of doubt; it became natural because it wasn't that long with the two of them. There was still needing time to get used to it.

"Live in the moment. And if you need knocking in the head, I'll gladly do that for you," he chuckled.

Casey smiled at his friend. "Thank you."

Acceptance is acknowledging and being okay for what you have experienced, and even if it's not too certain what's next, he knew he wouldn't replace his precious moments or what choices he made up to this date. There was no regret for that.

There we have it. Pretty much that should be leaving you guys satisfied with cute fluff content for you guys. They will live in my head forever with different types of things they'll go off on about and do little fun relationship things like any normal couple.

Did you guys remember what Casey did with the blanket fort when he was with Raquel, but now he's sharing an activity with someone and building it with Snow, as a way to build up his relationship with her. To make a new cute home with that sense of privacy and security with that someone. Hehe (~‾⌣‾)~

If you guys read my author's note at the end, I said I would continue a story but just wait longer because it's not ready.
