I've noticed lately that it's pretty hard to discuss anything without being labelled a feminist. In fact, I think the definition has changed over time. For example, when the Women's Rights Movement first came about, it was to demand equality for women and allow them to have the same jobs and equal pay as the men. Nowadays, if you mention something being unfair for women, people call you an overbearing and ignorant feminist and then completely ignore you. Now, I understand that sometimes women aren't always treated the same as men, that's still a kind of a problem today. However, there's a difference between wanting everyone to have equality in the workforce and calling down evil upon all of mankind just because women should have more power. And it's really hard to say any of this. Why? Because if someone makes a sexist and rude comment and you try to say something about it? You're a feminist. If you want equal pay and impartial justice, you're a feminist. If you try to complain about how being feminist isn't the same as being justice-minded, you're a feminist.

Pretty much, you can't win. How sad is that?
