Don't judge me!
A creative writer and math whiz versus an artistic prodigy and science jock.
An obnoxious class clown versus a studious shy guy.
Two completely different personalities with one thing in common: they're pairs of older and younger siblings. However, teachers tend to not see this. When they hear of a familiar name that either brings good or bad memories to follow, they tend to pit those memories against the new-coming family member, and this can be pretty annoying.
As the younger child of the family (thankfully, I'm not), you are more than likely to run into your older sibling's old teacher, depending on how old they are, how old you are, and what level of learning you're at. And when you do get stuck in a classroom with their old teacher, there are one of four ways the year can go down:
1) The teacher doesn't even remember your sibling
2) The teacher loved your sibling and expects you to have the exact same skills and talents, and then gets annoyed with you when you don't.
3) The teacher hated your sibling and expects you to be just as bad so they completely ignore you and hope you fail.
4) The teacher does remember your sibling, but while they treasure the memories they had, they acknowledge that you're a completely different person with different needs and skills.
Good luck, young ones!
