An absolute cameo

So Stan Lee passed last year. I don't think I felt as mournful as everyone else truth be told. I was definitely surprised (because I don't keep up with the news so I'm always out of the loop), but my reaction was more like, "aw. That means no more Stan Lee cameos...."

Stan Lee is a lovable guy from what I've seen, so I'm sad that Marvel lost him. But I didn't feel personally affected by his death. I wasn't, say, rolling on the floor in tears.

Now this doesn't mean I'm indifferent to people dying or immune to sad things. I do get sad or nostalgic. However I just don't have the same reaction to death that most other people have. My reaction is usually just shock and surprise, followed by, "Well what's going to happen to blah blah and blah?" I could on and on about how celebrity deaths don't affect my ability to watch things without being sad, but that's not really relevant to this chapter.

I was thinking about Stan Lee earlier and how fun of a cameo he was, especially in the new Captain Marvel movie when they had this AWESOME tribute to him at the beginning. (I hope they keep that for Avengers: Endgame). Marvel isn't his only appearance though. He's also made Disney cameos, particularly in "The Princess Diaries 2" and "Big Hero 6". (Which technically owns Marvel now, but shhhhhh....). I thought about the Big Hero 6 cameo and I thought, "You know what would have been a fun cameo for him? Miraculous Ladybug!!!! Wouldn't that have been a cool superhero cameo for Stan Lee?! He could have been in the latest episode with Thomas Alstruc talking about superhero animation!

Oh well. At least we have Master Fu for fun shadow cameos:
