Mood Swings

You can shoot me, I won't mind 😅 Anyhow, let's not beat around the bush (is that even a thing? Idk...) and get on to the chapter!

"WILL YOU ALL JUST SHUT UP?!" Kathy yelled suddenly, making everyone go quite.

"That's much better", she said with a sweet smile.

"She's scary..." Jim muttered to Bones.

"Yeah", said doctor replied. "Maybe she's one her period or something... Wait, do Vulcans/ Circians even have periods?"

"Ugh, gross! Besides, why are you asking me? You're the doctor, not I!" Jim all but hissed.

"KIRK, MCOY!" Kathy yelled suddenly , making the boys jump and mumble a 'yes ma'am'.

"DID I TELL YOU TO TALK?"

"No ma'am..."

"THEN WHY WERE YOU TALKING?!"

"... We're sorry ma'am..."

Kathy smiled at them before turning back to her  note book, scribbling god knows what in it.

Making sure that she wasn't looking at them, Jim turned to Bones.

"Yup, she's definitely on her period."

He almost got hit on the head by a paperweight the very next minute.

"ME BEING IN A BAD MOOD DOES NOT EQUAL TO ME BEING ON MY PERIOD JAMES!"

Everyone gulped she cleared her throat and stood up.

"OK, so I'm done with the script. Now, I'll read it out to you guys, and if you have any questions, well... Just don't ask them. I mean, wait until I'm done and then ask me whatever you want."

Without waiting for a reply, Kathy started off. By the time she was done, everyone was silent.

"I thought that all those texts were lost? And the ones which were left were damaged?" Tristan asked.

He was right. Shakespeare's plays were ancient and out dated. One could only make out the gist of his plays, never the meaning of each and every dialogue. This was because the words were archaic, and the paper on which they were written even more so.

"Yes, Tristan don't tell me stuff I already know", Kathy said impatiently.

"It's very well written, actually", he muttered, making Kathy thank him awkwardly.

"OK anyone else, any questions? Oh what now Tristan?"

"I have a question..."

"Yes I know you have a question! Why else would you raise your hand?!"

"I dunno, to ask you of I can go pee or something?"

"I AM NOT YOUR TEACHER TRISTAN!"

"YOU SURE ACT LIKE YOU ARE!"

"QUIT YELLING YOUNG MAN!"

"Ha, see?! That just proves my point!"

Kathy sighed and rubbed her eyes tiredly as everyone else laughed, before adjusting her glasses and glaring at Tristan.

"Just get over with it", she all but growled.

"Will you go out with me?"

Within the next 5 minutes, Tristan was sitting in the corner of the class room, holding an ice pack against his cheek, which had an imprint which looked quite similar to Kathy's paperweight. Jim was looking pale and angry at the same time as he shot Tristan a deadly glare every now and then.

"Well, she did say that we could ask her anything..." Tristan muttered.

Jim's glare intensified, making Tristan put his hands up defensively.

"Dude I said I was sorry, I was just kidding! Besides, why would I want to date... Her?"

Within the next 5 minutes, Tristan was sporting a bruise on his other cheek, his face squished between two ice packs as he grumbled about getting a brain freeze. Jim was sitting in the other corner of the class room, looking super pissed.

"Ah, where were we before the... Ahem, mild disturbance? Oh yes, questions. Does anyone have any questions?" Kathy said as though nothing had happened.

The students gulped and looked at each other hesitantly. Finally, Chekhov, being the brave soul he was, raised his hand.

"Vhat about zhe  cast, Katherina?"

Kathy's lips formed 'oh' as she nodded her head quickly. However, before she could speak, the bell rang, signalling that it was time for everyone to return to their dorms.

"Oh never mind", Kathy said with a wave of her hand, "we'll continue with this tomorrow, same place, same time. Capisce?"

She made a gun with her left hand as she said the last word, and everyone nodded, knowing better than to openly question her sanity.

When Spock walked into the class room to check on the cadets (upon Pike's insistence), he was surprised, to say the least. He had never seen Kathy being this angry. Sure, there was that time during her first year, where he had spoken rudely to her, but still... She seemed rather moody, for some odd reason...

Spock shook his head and stood by the door, his lips twisting into the faintest of grins as he watched Kathy play teacher unknowingly. As the bell rang, he decided to show himself, not wanting anyone to think that he had been there, watching the cadets (coughcough Kathy coughcough) the whole time.

A chorus of 'good evening Professor' resounded in the room as Spock entered. Kathy stepped in front of Tristan as discreetly as possible, smiling innocently as Spock raised an eyebrow.

"Were you able to utilize this period effectively?" He asked everyone, his gaze still fixed on Kathy.

"Yes sir, everything went on rather smoothly."

"So it will not be wrong for me to presume that when you say 'everything went on rather smoothly' you mean someone ended up with a bruised face?"

Kathy gulped and grinned nervously.

"He just reached a whole new level of sassy, like, a Persassius level of sassy..."

"Excuse me, Cadet?" Spock said.

He had heard what she said, but he could not understand what it meant.

Kathy resisted the urge to say 'you're excused'.

"I didn't say anything, Sir", she said instead, looking at Tristan before looking back at Spock, who was waiting for an explanation.

"Well, er... You see sir, he sort of just... Fell, maybe?"

Seeing Spock's disbelief, she quickly corrected herself.

"I- I mean, yes! He most certainly fell! And, and... Hit a table! Yes, that's what happened..."

"Then why are both his cheeks bruised, Cadet?" Spock said, enjoying himself a little to much as he watched Kathy squirm.

"Erm, yeah... He fell twice! Tristan you clumsy little lovable idiot! Haha, hahaha!"

She threw her arm around Tristan's neck and ruffled his hair, making him gasp and shove her hand away.

"My hair!" He cried out as he tried to fix it.

"My precious hair! First my sexy face, and now my hair! WHY DOES THE UNIVERSE HATE ME?!"

"Everyone, go to your dorms. Now." Spock said suddenly, standing upright as he remembered why he came here in the first place.

The students nodded and all but ran out of class. Just as Kathy was about to leave Spock stopped her.

"Cadet Whitlock, may I make a personal query?"

Kathy nodded affirmatively.

"Are you... Well?"

"Of course I am sir, why won't I be?" Kathy asked , confused.

"You seemed to be quite upset earlier..." Spock muttered.

Kathy looked up at him with a smile.

He actually cares about how I'm feeling?

"Mother told me to take care of you, and I do not wish to disappoint her", Spock added quickly.

Kathy's nostrils flared as she glared at him.

So he does not care about me?! I'm not surprised! Disappointed, maybe... But definitely not surprised!

"Are you not in a good mood, Cadet?" Spock asked.

"Permission to speak freely, Sir?"

Spock hesitated before nodding his head slightly.

"Permission granted."

"There's Game of Thrones going on in my abdomen while my lady parts are puking out blood. Tell me, what do you think my mood should be like?"

"Pardon?" Spock asked, adorably confused.

Kathy let out a puff of air. He asked for it.

"I'm bleeding, Spock. My insides are becoming my outsides. I feel like Mother Nature has unleashed her wrath in my vagina, and it's like there's the effing Niagara falls in my panties. I'm sleepy but my mind won't shut up, hungry but I don't feel like eating, and horny but I might just chop off the balls of any guy who's within a one metre radius of me. I'm on my period and if you don't step aside, I might just puke on you. So long story short, I'M FINE!"

Spock had to consciously stop his jaw from dropping as he immediately stepped away from Kathy.

"I... I cannot understand what you are trying to say, Cadet. Could you please be more precise and less emotional?"

"Yeah, no, that ain't happening!" Kathy snapped as she stormed away from him.

"Oh, and if you did not understand what I was trying to say, then go ask your mom or sister or someone!"

Spock watched the cadet with confusion as she stomped towards her dorm, not realizing that she felt a little guilty for shouting at him.

"I do not understand mother", Spock mumbled as his mother's shoulders shook from laughter.

"Ask your sister dear, she would love to clarify your doubt."

Still confused, Spock agreed to his mother and called his sister, telling her everything Kathy had said. By the time he was done, Audrey had almost fallen off her bed from laughter.

"I don't know what's more funny, you not understanding this and asking me,  or the fact that you actually remember everything she said!"

Wiping away the tears of laughter, she rubbed her hands together as she smirked.

Needless to say, by the time she had explained everything to Spock, he was scarred for life, not because of what she told him, but because of how she told him..

Ok so I just had a very crappy day, so I won't say much... I just hope that you liked this chapter! I'm sorry I know it's not that great but I tried, so yeah...

All the love,

Kit_Kat
