Ciel

"A letter, young master."

I grabbed the letter from the tray and studied the seal. A small raven with some initials on it. Something I may have seen before, but I wasn't familiar on who it was. I opened the envelope, and started reading.

Dearest Earl Phantomhive,

Hello Ciel. I am marchioness (y/n) (l/n) of Frances northern border, by the English Channel. It is my deepest regret to say this, but your company has been giving me lots of trouble as of late. I have counted 6 carriages whom have tried to smuggle your toys and candy across the border. (Presumably to sell in France?) This has brought me lots of humor, so I will end this matter carefully. I would like to orchestrate a meeting with you, so this matter can be done and away with. I can't have people knowing that I almost let some British men smuggle children items across the border. It would tarnish my reputation. I'm sure you understand. We should meet, and discuss this. I would be very distressed if you declined.

Marchioness (y/n) (l/n)

I look up, my eyebrows furrowed. I was most certainly not aware that Funtom workers were trying to smuggle our items into France.

I sighed and set the letter down. Time to prepare for a guest.

Some time later • y/n

My carriage pulled up to the Phantomhive estate. A man stood by the road, likely waiting my arrival. The carriage stopped, and I opened the door before any butler could. I hated servants with all my heart and soul. Unfortunately, when you're a marchioness, servants are necessary. But I don't have any maids or butlers. Only cooks, and decorators, and guards.

I put on my own clothes every morning.

The man who was standing there looked slightly surprised that I opened my own door, he held his hand out and I accepted it. He helped me down and I let go as soon as my feet touched the ground. He bowed.

"Hello marchioness (l/n). It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Sebastian Michaelis, butler of this fine estate."

I gave him a small forced smile.

"Shouldn't Ciel be greeting his guests?" I questioned.

"He does usually, but he is busy preparing himself for your arrival. You see, we expected you later."

"Well, I don't like to waste time, so I thought I should come here at the earliest time," I said. I was not in a good mood. Two more carriages had tried to smuggle Funtom items across the border in only 1 day. Neither of them had gotten through, of course, but it still angered me that Ciel Phantomhive thought he could do such a thing. Why not just ask for my permission?

"Of course." He bowed his head. I rolled my eyes. I turned to the carriage again.

"I'm sorry, I'll collect your bags at a later time." Sebastian said. I ignored him and put my hands on my hips.

"Fírir, stop being shy and get out of there." I said sternly. A creek was heard as a boy jumped out of the carriage. He had brown curly hair that stuck up in the front, and dark eyes that took in everything. He was my little guard dog, as I liked to call him. This thin '15 year old' boy was a very good fighter and marksman. He was perfect to protect me. (But it's not like I needed any protection. I'm nearly perfect in hand to hand combat, and I'm pretty nifty with a katana too.) he had his nose turned up in disgust.

"I'm not being shy, I just smelt something horrible." His eyes drifted around, searching for the source.

"Don't be rude," I hissed, slightly alarmed. His sense of smell was highly sensitive and could smell any, how shall I say it, abnormal beings. Pretty useful when you are being chased by grin reapers all the time. (I was supposed to be dead 13 years ago.)

His eyes drifted to Sebastian, who glanced at his wrist watch.

"My apologies, but I should show you to your rooms now. May I ask who this is?" He gestured to Fírir. We glanced at each other.

"This is my son, Fírir (l/n)." I wrapped an arm around his shoulders, and brought him close to me. He looked slightly peeved.

"Yes, and this is my really annoying mother, (y/n) (l/n)," he huffed. I squeezed his shoulder in warning.

"Ah, all right, just this way."
