Chapter 8

Mates

 I opened my eyes, seeing I was in the forest. I looked up and saw a guy cradling me on his lap. But that wasn't the strange part. The strange part was that everyone was staring at me. 

"What?' I mumbled siting up.

The guy behind me whimpered quietly as I moved off him and I looked him. "Who are you?" I asked. No one spoke. 

I looked into his eyes gasping, "Mate."

He smiled nervously at me, not saying anything. I looked around in confusion. "That is not possible" I murmured staring at him.

"Actually sweetheart it is... you're wolf is very special meaning you are able two mates if one dies or rejects you. It's the moon goddesses way of keeping order so the white wolves race doesn't end." My father explained.

I looked at him curiously then back at the guy behind me. "What's you're name?" I asked. 

"Ethan," he smiled.

"Leslie." I stuck my hand out for him to shake.

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl," he grinned. I blushed shaking my head at him.

"We should get going," I sighed getting up looking at my pack.

 "Yes Alpha," they bowed. I smiled as they went to their designated cars. 

"You're Alpha?" I looked over at my mate and nodded. Unlocking my car; I got in, rolling down my window.

A thought came to my mind. How did I shift but my clothes stay intact? Shrugging it off I looked down. I was in a completely different dress then earlier. This one was a Strapless Sash Beaded High Low Chiffon Party Dress Short Front And Long Back.

"You coming?" I smiled. 

"Yes... but my friends," he nodded to the people standing in a corner. Huh? Weird how I didn't notice them earlier, I must of been to caught up in the moment. 

"They can go to any car with fee space. I will accept them into the pack later," my mate nodded looking to his friends.

A little girl came with him, getting into the backseat of the car. I used my pack mind-link telling my pack members to be nice to our guests. They all replied 'Yes Alpha' through our link and I nodded, waiting for the cars to be filled. After they were filled with the new people I turned on my engine and backed out of the clear space of the woods.

Ethan had about over 15 people with him. I'm so happy we got a truck or we'd probably have to do two trips. After everyone piled into separate cars I lead us to where we'd be living now.

When we arrived I smiled. It was very beautiful and had a giant backyard not gated because the forest was right behind it. "Okay; I get the biggest room and my beta, third in command, and best warrior are getting the other big rooms.... The rest of you fight among yourselves."

As soon as I said that everyone got there bags and ran inside. I grabbed Ethan's hand before he could leave and smiled, "You're staying with me since you're my mate."

 He nodded giving me a small smile. I grabbed my bags and walked inside.

The house already had everything except food, but I could buy that tomorrow. Walking up the stairs with Ethan trailing behind me, I looked at the decorations smiling slightly. "So how long have you lived here?" Ethan asked.

"Actually my pack and I just got here today," I chuckled. Then my hand twitched. "Wait a second..." I stopped walking, dropped my bags, and got my sketchpad. Flipping pages quickly I took the pen from my bag and scanned my eyes over some of the events that had already happened. Once I got to the picture of my shift I checked it.

I closed my sketchpad and picked up my bags, continuing the silent walk through the house. I could hear people gloating and whining about there rooms. I chuckled walking to what I assumed was the biggest room since it had huge double doors.

I placed down my bag and opened the doors, gasping at the size of it. It was beautiful and way bigger than mine. Smiling slightly, I picked my bag and dumped it on the giant bed and began unpacking. Looking to Ethan I saw he only had one bag. "That all you own?" I asked pointing to the bag.

"No, that's just all I had time to get before we escaped." he explained.

 "Escaped?" I raised a questioning eyebrow. 

"My pack was attacked. My friends and I were the only survivors." he frowned.

 "Did you lose someone?" I asked gently.

Waking over I saw tears running down his face. "Shush, It's okay you don't have to tell me..." I whispered stroking his cheek.

 "It's alright; I'll tell you" he said quietly.

 "Are you sure? It's fine really." I mumbled.

"It's fine... I lost my parents and my older brother Gale, all I have is my little sister now." he sniffled. Pulling him towards me I wrapped my arms tightly around him. 

"I'm sorry" I sighed. He nuzzled his head into my neck breathing in my scent.

"Do you want to meet my sister?" he asked.

 "Well I was going to meet her eventually, since I have to accept you all into the pack." I laughed snuggling into him. 

"How are you Alpha anyway?" he asked ".. No offence though" he added quickly at the end.

"My mate L-" I began before Ethan's eyes changed into his wolves and he tightened his hold around me, growling lowly.

"Mine," he growled.

"Yes yours," I sighed. He pulled us onto the bed tightening his hold on me, which would have hurt if I were human. "Anyway he rejected me for being weak and ugly on my birthday in front of everyone." I continued.

"I knew it was coming since I am the Seer... And before you ask questions let me finish," I felt him nod behind me and continued. "So after he rejected me and banished me I packed my stuff said my goodbye's, accepted his rejection and left. As I was walking through the forest my sister and her mate came and said they wanted to go with me,"  I took a shallow breath remembering what happened next.

"As we walking I looked at my sketchpad and check off the events that had just happened and felt my hands check off the next page... It was of Luke, My mate... He was and this other female were kissing and grinding against one another..." Ethan growled again.

His head went to my hair and he breathed deeply. "Anyway we then heard a growl telling us we were now Rouge and they could kill us since we were still on their territory.. So Avery -my sister-, her mate Scott shifted and we were about to run then we heard my brothers voice. He and a group of people were there asking if they could come with us. We agreed and traveled here. Once we arrived it was an unmarked territory, so we marked it and picked ranks. And you know where it goes from there..."

Ethan was quiet for a while taking everything in. Just as he was going to speak there was a knock at my door. I opened it to see a little girl. "Hello?" I asked in confusion looking at her. "Alpha I was wondering do you know where my brother is?" she blushed.

"Lizzie?" I heard from behind me.

 "Ethan?" she questioned. I then looked at her closely and noticed she had similar features to Ethan. I opened the door wider and she ran over to her brother. I smiled watching them. 

"Come on, we should go I have to accept you and your friends into my pack." I grinned at Ethan and his sister. They nodded and Ethan stood up placing her on his back. 

"Alright," he nodded, following me out of the room.

Entering the living room I yelled for everyone to come down stairs for the ceremony. Once they came I made them stand by rank and began. I extended my nail shifting it into a claw from my werewolf form and began.
