Chapter Twelve

I tossed and turned all night long. Sleep didn't come to me and it was beginning to get frustrating. It wasn't the bed that was keeping me up, the bed as like fluffy clouds or cotton candy, OK that sounded weird but whatever. But the man across the hall was keeping me awake. In a bad way.

My thoughts wandered to him. Why does he act like he has control over me? Sure he is Alpha, but doesn't that make me Luna? And aren't Alphas and Lunas equal ranks? I shake my head. Of course they are but apparently this guy doesn't think so.

I remember when I was in school, they taught us all about the ranks and their purposes. They talked about the Alpha's abilities and power as well as the Luna's. The Alpha is not able to run his pack without his Luna. Somehow Parker believes that he doesn't need my help.

I let out a groan as I sat up in my bed. My eyes scanned the dark room. It was so different from my old room. I didn't like it at all, not one bit. A sigh escaped my lips as I pulled the covers away from my body. The cold air immediately hit my body making me shiver. It was like being slapped my ice across your body, or when your back touches the cold shower wall.

I yanked the comforter off the bed, I will fix it later, and covered my body with it. I stood up and headed to my door. Maybe food will make me feel better. I tiptoed through the hallway, making sure not to make a sound that would wake up Parker. The comforter dragged across the floor. Once I descended down the stairs, careful not to trip, I squinted my eyes waiting for them to get use to the new found darkness. I struggled to find the kitchen. My foot hit the corner or some unknown object causing me to hiss out in pain.

"Shit," I cursed under my breath as my pinkie toe began to feel numb.

I winced as I stood up straighter and continued my way to where I thought the kitchen was. My eyes fixed on the entrance for the kitchen and I let out a relieved sigh as I entered it. I could always have the Twizzlers that I found in one of the cabinets earlier. I searched through the cabinets looking for the certain red twists of love.

After what seemed like hours, I finally found the giant package. A smirk formed on my face as I snatched the package and quickly went back to my room. Almost tripping and falling on my face, I successfully reached my room.

Now its time for me to enjoy my snack.

"So you're from the Moonlit Waters Pack?" Logan asked as we sat on the couches in the living room. I nodded my head with a sigh, "They were my family." I swallowed the lump that was building up in my throat. Logan gave me a sympathetic look.

"I wonder when Alpha is going to present you to the pack," she stated as she surfed through the channels on the TV. She let out an annoyed groan after a few moments. I shot her a questioning look.

"There is nothing on–" she muttered before adding, "–stupid ass TV." I laughed at her anger towards the TV.

"Don't be mean to the TV," I chuckled as I stretched out on the couch with my legs spread apart. This is one comfortable couch. I might fall asleep on this thing. The sound of a door opening caused both of us to become quiet. The scent of my mate hit my nose. I heard the sound of footsteps approaching until Parker stood by the doorway. A frown was etched upon his face when his eyes narrowed on the girl sitting on the other couch. She quickly stood up.

"What are you doing?" He spoke harshly at her. A frown grew on my face as Logan bowed her head, "I-I'm sorry, A-Alpha. It was a mistake," she stuttered, her face full of fear and her voice wavered. Parker's face didn't change and his lips were pressed in a thin line. "Leave," he ordered.

She quickly left the room and I heard the sound of the front door open and close. I shot up from my seat and glared at Parker. "Why did you make her leave?" I snapped while placing my hands on my hips. Parker didn't say anything but turn on his heel and headed towards somewhere else. Anger spiked through me and I immediately felt like punching him in the face. Of course I had to follow him, I will not let him ignore me when I'm trying to talk to him.

"Hey!" I called out from behind him. He didn't listen and continued walking and turning corners to Goddess knows where. I flared my nose. "I'm talking to you!" I angrily shouted as my footsteps quickened. But he didn't listen like the hard-headed asshole he is. He opened a door and quickly slammed the door in my face. I stood stunned before I let out a growl from my chest. My wolf was surfacing and I really felt like kicking down the door. I probably could but I know I shouldn't.

"Open the damn door!" I shouted as I pounded on the door with my fist. A growl came from the other side followed by a "Go away."

"No!" My voice raised as I stopped pounding, my hand was getting tired. "Why are you such an asshole? Can I not make friends? I'm stuck here not able to do anything! What's my purpose of being here if I can't do anything like help with the pack or even at least meet the members? Tell me—" Before I could even finish my rant, the door swung open and a hand tightly grasped my hand and yanked me inside. As soon as the door slammed shut, my back was roughly pushed against the door causing me to groan out in pain. My eyes focused on an extremely pissed off Parker who looked like he wanted to hurt me. My wolf whimpers at the thought of my mate hurting us. All the anger left my as my eyes were wide with fear at the livid look my mate was giving me.

"Go to your room, I'll deal with you later. I have pack business to deal with," he growled out his eyes a bright yellow. The anger came back. Is this guy for real?

"No!" I growled back. 'That's right, Jamie! Fight!' Irene demanded not liking this one bit. Parker looked taken aback by my refusal. He realized that I actually dared to break one of his pathetic rules. "No?" he chuckled darkly. I felt his hand graze by my waist as his hand gripped the doorknob. I heard a click meaning he locked the door. I gulped and felt my stomach clench. Shit, I'm in deep deep shit.

"What are you doing?" my voice was shaky as fear took over me. Is he going to rápe me or something? My wolf growled at me, 'He wouldn't do that.' She then added, 'Would he?' At this point I wasn't sure. I didn't know what he was thinking, he was so freakin' confusing, but I'm not so easy either. I admit it. Parker didn't say anything but his eyes blazed with anger as he stared at me with a clenched jaw. He lowered his head so it was leveled with mine.

"You disrespected me, you shall be punished. Don't ever disrespect your Alpha," he said lowly, his voice was intimidating. He wasn't raising his voice, but he sounded scary using his Alpha tone. This bastard, thinks he can use this tone on me. Sadly my wolf had to submit to his, as it is an instinct for werewolves. I quietly nodded my head before looking down. He gripped my wrists tightly before dragging me to his desk. He opened a drawer with a key and pulled something out. I couldn't see what but all I heard was metal clanging against each other. My heart rate picked up as I thought of the possibilities of what it could possibly be. Maybe he'll chain me to his desk or something a go all 'Christian Grey' on me. A lump formed in my throat at the thought. I've already experienced being ráped once, I don't need a reminder.

He then dragged me out of the room. I kept quiet because of my wolf, she didn't want to find out what he would do if I pushed on. He pulled me down the hallway and down the stairs. Where is he taking me? He then turns down an unfamiliar hallway. At the end of the hallway is a door. On the other side of the door is a giant spiral stair case. Now I was beginning to get very anxious. At the bottom of the stair case was a dark hallway, the walls made of stone and the floor is concrete. So is this like his very creepy evil basement or something. Is he going to murder me down here? At the end of the long hallway and many different iron doors, there stood a huge iron door, bigger than all the others. I gulped and I felt my eyes water. I need to be strong but I couldn't help the tears welling up in my eyes.

Parker's grip on my wrist didn't loosen up. I tried digging my nails into his hand to make him let go but it didn't work. He just growled at me loudly. Wow, is he on what human's say, their time of the month? I spent my years at schools with humans, I know what happens. Werewolf 'periods' are heats. She-wolves go into heat every six months after they find their mates. Not necessarily after they fully mate, but their bodies know when they've been around their mate. It's kind of like a trigger thing. At least, thats what I've been told.

He opened up one of the doors on the side and shoved me inside. My eyes wandered the small room. It smelled of rotten flesh and blood. The cold air slapped my skin making goosebumps rise. Parker took both my wrists and slapped it onto them before chaining me towards the wall. My eyes widened with shock and fear.

"WHAT THE HELL!" I screeched as I tried pulling free. The chains weren't made of silver, thank goddess, but the material was strong enough that I couldn't break free. That's probably what he grabbed from his office. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? TREATING YOUR DAMN MATE LIKE THIS?"

Parker turned on his heels and then headed to the door ignoring my profanities and curse words. He stopped and turned around. "Maybe this should teach you. I'll send someone to get you later," he said, his voice cold and emotionless, before closing the door behind me. I continued screaming at him but he never came back. All of the confidence inside of me disappeared.

I let out a choked sob. Tears poured down my cheeks. My mate really is cruel, ruthless, and cold. The thought of him makes me angry. I may be a bitch but no mate should ever be treated like this.
