Amanda's POV

"Your saying the mystery guy is a friend. Why would you come to that conclusion?"

"It's obvious they know everything and to be honest I've been watching you guys for a while and your security isn't all that it's cut out to be. I easily sneaked in and out of your pack without being spotted. You need to fix that" I told them folding my arms.

"If the mystery guy is telling you his plan it's obvious it's a diversion. He wants something and being focused on the boy your leading him straight to it" Storm said finally speaking.

"If your right then what does he want. We have nothing to give" my eyes widened.

"They have us" Samantha rasied an eyebrow. Instead of answering I opened a secret compartment behind the fridge. I took out what I needed and rested it on the counter.

"I'm so confused right now" Clover said standing up to get a better veiw. I brushed off the dust that covered the book. It's the same one I found back at Tyler's pack.

"He wants us. The Blacks or better known as Parkais. We were the first reaper to be discovered our bloodline traces back to the very first reaper John Parkais said to be cursed by the very devil himself" I stated opening the book.

"We know and- of course the legend. The one with the whole Rosalie Parkais the first female reaper. She was an elemental and due to the curse only one generation could possess this power" Marcus concluded.

"Hold up! Your telling me we are all under attack because of some freaking grandma reaper and her power" Clover said.

"Yeah pretty much"

"If you assumption is correct. They might be heading for Mimi" I groaned.

"Let them take her she's a bitch. When we were little she always stole my stuff until you know what happened. I'm glad I never saw her again" I said leaning on the wall.

"She's family. And if there after her she needs to be under our watch twenty-four hours a day" Marcus said acting like a the boss. He technically is seeing as he's the oldest male in the family that isn't retired.

"When you say Mimi do you mean the Mimi Black as in the famous one" I nodded at Clovers statement.

"She's your cousin!" Again I nodded.

"The Blacks are pretty famous. I mean hello were one of the most if not the most powerful families in the world. Not to mention were filthy rich"

"Back to the point. Your cousin needs to stay here with you. Haden can't stay at the pack house but they'll expect him to come here" Cameron trailed off.

"He can stay with Skylar, Tyler's sister she's my assistant I doubt she'll mind or better yet Lucas he's been dying to see him" Marcus thought for a moment.

"I'm not sure, leaving my son to the hands of strangers?"

"Marcus please it's the only way. We need to get him safe solve this before it gets worst" Samantha said trying to calm down her husband. I glanced at the book but something caught my eye.

Looking closer I saw that it was a slight bulge. Skipping the page I realized it was the coin I hold a few months ago. But it looked different this time. The date was still on it.

19:8:1867

Why does that sound so familar. Glancing at the book again I gasped seeing the connection. How did I not notice this sooner. I started reading the page and couldn't help but smile. I figured it out.

The page only had a few paragraphs with a picture of Rosalie Parkais. It read:

On August 19, 1867, the first female reaper died while giving birth to a child called Jonathan Black. This child was however different as he on his seven birthday shifted into a reaper thus confirming the theory, the curse could be passed on through the bloodline.

Jonathan however found a way to speak to his mother and gift he developed at a young age. His father was a human, with the little knowledge he had he recorded his son's development in a journal which upon his passing was given to the boy.

Adler Parkais, Rosalie's brother, noticed the strange behavior displayed in his nephews growth. He then came to the conclusion that a reaper could not die this was later proven as he turned himself and proceeded to experiment on himself.

Jonathan learned of this discovery and sought help from the moon goddess who turned him down. Since he could not die he watch his loved once grow old and die before his eyes and became feed up of this. Out of rage he proceeded to kill anyone who he deemed fit to die thus becoming one of the most feared reapers of his time. Adler however pointed out the fact that his sister died while giving birth and his theory was then abandoned.

Upon further studies it was confirmed that Rosalie was drugged with an angels feather contributing to her death. This spiked intrest to many Hunters of that time and thus began the Reaper extinction.

Adler Parkais.......is my uncle! This makes no sense he's no more than thirty years old and- of course a reaper can't age! He's hundreds of years old but.....this is so confusing.

"I found something" I announced showing Marcus the book. He then read the page and gasped.

"Adler Parkais! But he's no more that thirty- a reaper can't age" Good to know I'm not the only person who reacted liked at.

"Wait Adler Parkais. Isn't he like a billionaire playboy. And his brother who is super hot by the way Alfred Parkais a professor at some university I can't remember the name of" Clover said talking to her self.

"Yes he is and he happens to be a good friend of mine" I nearly jumped out of my skin upon hearing Austin's voice.

"Austin what are you doing here?" I asked through gritted teeth.

"Helping you. Now I couldn't help but hear my friends name being called. Alder Parkais I presume " as much as I hate to admit it he could be some for of assistance.

"Yeah. You know him?" Obviously he does Clover.

"Of course. I just received two invitations to his engagement party he said I could bring along two friends. I was going to ask you..." I looked at Marcus who seemed conflicted.

"Amanda could go. If that okay with you" I nodded agreeing.

"Then it's settled. Well leave this afternoon" I hope he has what we need.

Inspiration! Oh I love you so. For all those who thought I forgot about that chapter I didn't. Everything I didn't explain before, I'm doing it now. I'm still open about the whole Tyler and Joshua thing. Oh and I remember about the thing is said in the first book.
